I am really curious who owns the site. I tried finding out but it is listed through a proxy. Very odd. But clearly the work of a devoted collector!

Oh wow, Hello2703

I'm so glad you tracked the correct name down. Thank you so much for posting it. I love that scarf, but couldn't find it anywhere. Looking up the wrong name wasn't getting me too far, I guess.

Thanks for the right name and artist. You are too cool!

Hey gga, it was by sheer coincidence that I found it. Someone in the scarf group that I belong to is currently looking to trade one. Pics will arrive by the end of this week. I will keep you posted.

Jasperella, your new scarf is so pretty! Congratulations!!

Here is the "Fine print" section of preciouscolors.com, it seems no harm intended in borrowing photos, but she/he will remove if requested.

The information and photos herein have been collected over 5 years of interest in scarves.

Motives

This is an education site
There is no profit motive here.
There is no intention to advertise or promote anyone's store or business.
This site is more like a rock or movie star fan site than anything else - a harmless passion
My goals are purely research, collecting and fun.
This not be shared with people wanting to profit, e.g. fakers, or those who want to increase the market price.
I want to educate people to be able to distinguish real and fake scarves because the real ones are so glorious.
I do want to help people avoid being ripped off by fake scarves
Photos

Yes, I have borrowed/stolen photos from everywhere. I don't personally own the 2000 scarves herein !
I used these photos to be able to show multiple colorways (which are so pretty) and because I adore the vintage ones that are hard to get.
If, I borrowed your photo and you want it removed, then just ask me [email protected] and it will be so.
I have also added a large number of my own high resolution pictures of scarves that have passed through my hands in the last 5 years. So, I think that I have added to the information.

^^^Its from a bracelet I bought. The seller said she believed this was the name of the bracelet, and she thought there was a scarf, but she was not sure.... I have not been able to find this image on a scarf, but I have no books, only online to check.

The other part of this is, I understand an "attelage" to be a two horse carriage, and this one is clearly four. so maybe this bracelet has another name????

I really appreciate all your help. Of course if ther is a scarf, I must quest for it!!!

CB, I have the same bracelet and for some reason always believed that it was called "Grand Apparat". Just looking at that scarf, it doesn't show a 4-horse carriage but single horses all decked out for pomp and ceremony. Hmm, I don't know if that's the right scarf then actually?? Lol! Ok.. dunno if that helped.:p

SerenityNow, I thought the same thing. The horses on the bracelet are definitely decked out in their "Grand Apparat", all the way to the plumes on their heads, but that scarf doesnt show any carriages or double horses....

Promenade de Longchamps shows carriages, but looks to be about 100 years later, costume-wise...

I thought for sure i would spot the carriages or even those great golden tassles on a scarf, but have not. I hope I stumble on it someday, I will be so happy!
