This is really bad news. I cant wait to get off work and inspect my small collection.

I have just sold all my ysl bags as I decided I will only buy the saffiano totes. ( love the simple structured look) I have even just ordered the clear bag insert to stiffen the inside!!

I am on a made in china boycott.
Even growing mine own herbs and tomatoes so I dont have to eat something made by them.

I d hate to think I refused to pay 3$ for ther tomatoes to think that ive given them 1000s for bags instead!!!

P.s I Live in singapore and avoiding "made in china" is like being on a beach and trying not to get sand on your toes.

You have my encouragement for this mission!!! I live in Sg too and I am going to see if the Prada bags in our boutiques are made from which country!

I was a little confused as to which bags have this problem -- does it include the Saffiano line? I got intrigued (and scared) so I rushed to check my BL0838. Made in Italy, thank goodness

It's not luxury any more. They're cheaply made bags with insanely high price tags only because they have a Prada label on them.

I looked everywhere inside the zipper part of my bag, there's no "made in" tag whatsoever..
But I've had my bag for a few months now and using it regularly and the quality seems fine, the bag itself has been durable and I've had no problems. I'm not really worried.

I went to a Prada boutique yesterday and asked the sales assistant about the bags being made in China but he confirmed its definitely Italy. He even joked that its only two hours from his home town (he is Italian). I didn't buy the bag but planning to go back

SOME Prada bags are still made in Italy, but more and more are made in China, Romania, Turkey and even Spain. Your Italian sales associate needs to learn more about the outsourcing of his brand....

My Saffiano tote has a Made in Italy tag. But I've read a book once saying that "Made in Italy" doesn't mean anything anyway, since there are low paid Chinese workers sitting in factories in Italy making "luxury goods"
