You are a delight. I’m so happy for you that you get to enjoy this beautiful bag. She is with her rightful owner now.So happy with my perfect green babies! After parting with my Fresh Almond huit mini because of the defect and it was all sold out/taken off the website, I finally got to have her in my arms again.
Thanks @WillWordForBags my lovely seller.

I'm thinking about the discontinued Un mini backpack again. I know it's time to give up hope they bring out a version of this again. Anyone own the Un mini backpack and is still using it? Experiences? Are the straps adjustable?

I've looked at the preloved market but I'm really hesitant to buy from there, and there aren't many offers. The ones I came across were either too worn out, crazily expensive (I'm not gonna pay 500$ + international shipping + customs for it) or badly photographed and I can't tell if it's genuine/fake, has scratches... There was one offer that looked good but I was waiting too long and someone else bought it. What are your experiences with Polene on the second-hand market? And let me know if you come across one of their backpacks!
That's great, thank you! Which color do you have?I love the un backpack. I was using it for my daily commute to work until I started needing to carry a laptop.
I got mine used off Poshmark before the crazy amount of fakes were available. So I'm pretty sure it's not a fake *fingers crossed*
I find it more casual and easier to use than the UN mini (which I find a bit heavy when I carry my day's essentials). I tend to wear it as shoulder bag, or short crossbody (without adjusting the straps). Because the straps are quite thin, the shorter setting allows for doubling the strap, which helps distribute the weight more comfortably.
When I'm going out after work, sometimes I'll make it a backpack so I'm more hands free...
I think I made a short video showing how to dress it up with a chain. You can pull the leather straps through and tuck it into the interior pocket.
In terms of durability, I don't know how long the previous owner had it before me. But the leather straps were a tiny bit sticky (probably from perfume, lotion or sunscreen) and the front corner folds of the bag had some wear. The wearing down is actually not noticeable and the leather quality shows through. It kind of wears like a vintage coach where the leather is worn/sanded away, but the dye is deep so it's not obvious.
Feel free to DM me if you have any other questions
I want to add another name to the list: S. Joon. I love the Polenes I have, and mostly just carry them, Celine, and Hermes now. But I picked up a tulip bag from S. joon and it’s been wonderful. Such a great shape and a convenient bag, while still being quite chic. It instantly made think of Polene (though I think it’s a bit easier to wear).Thinking of brands that are somewhat comparable to Polene in their independent, unique and "affordable" quality, what has been your experience with Senreve and Strathberry?
I have the black oneThat's great, thank you! Which color do you have?
I’ve never heard of that brand but I will check them out. Thank you!I want to add another name to the list: S. Joon. I love the Polenes I have, and mostly just carry them, Celine, and Hermes now. I too feel like it is time to move on from Polene - especially after my recent sept purchase and now dealing with CS.I’ve never heard of that brand but I will check them out. Thank you!
I’m now eyeing Strathberry and deciding which style to obsess about.![]()
They are both taupe yes. I don't know how to explain it but it seems like the leather texture is different. Are they both taupe? Does the color read more beige in the Dix than in the Neuf or it is just my eyes?
Does anybody know if Polene comes up with new spring colors anytime soon? I feel like many of their current colors are more for autumn and winter. I am hoping for something brighter (one can dream).
I agree. I still love Polene and will get more bags from them, but I my crazy obsession has subsided a bit and I have become more demanding now that their prices have increased and their quality has fallen behind.I too feel like it is time to move on from Polene - especially after my recent sept purchase and now dealing with CS.
I'm also thinking about getting a Strathberry, probably their tote. But none of the sizes really float my boat. I'd prefer a size between the nano and midi tote.I’ve never heard of that brand but I will check them out. Thank you!

Congrats to your new purchase and I agree, the inflation is really bad and we need to be more selective about who deserves our hard earned money. I also have the same policy - 1 in, 1 out, and I try to make sure that each bag doesn't have a duplicate in my closet already because I found myself reaching for the same bag for particular occassions, not rotating them (e.g. a "date night/going out" bag, a "work/errands" bag, etc.). I hope you find a good buyer soon.I scored a Mansur Gavriel Mini Mini Bucket Bag in a stunning taupe color for a crazy price at the Saks sale, and I just can't justify spending almost 3 times as much on a Mini Neuf in taupe, since they are a comparable style and virtually the same color (and MG is considered a higher end designer brand for sure).
So I will be getting the Mini Neuf in chalk instead. That means I will be selling my Numero Un Nano in chalk because I just don't need 2 Polene bags in the same color and my new rule is that for every new bag I get (or 2), I must let go of one, since at this point, I simply do not have the space to do otherwise.
I'm ok letting it go for a loss but I don't want to lose so much, so if any of you have any ideas beyond Ebay or Poshmark, I'm all ears.
Thanks, darlings.![]()
