That’s true, the English version of the book seems to have a low stock, but this is why I wanted it in a first place aside reading, I love collecting rare fashion books.

@coffee2go I also have that book along with another one about Leila Menchari's window displays for Hermès. Sadly, she passed away during the pandemic. What a fascinating lady and artist extraordinaire. ❤️

When I am fortunate to leave Paris with a new Hermès bag, I bring a Envirosac tote bag with me and carry my new H baby aboard for the return flight home. I keep it at my seat as placing it in the overhead bin causes one to lose control of the bag and it may become damaged as those items often get jostled during the long-haul flight.

Many visiting buyers either tell the boutique to retain their orange box or leave it at their hotel. I have had good luck in having the hotel concierge mail my empty orange box to my US residential address, requesting that they first enclose the orange box inside a sturdy brown box sized just a bit larger than the orange box. Each time the parcel makes it back to my home in flawless condition. I have been quite fortunate in this regard. There's never an additional customs fee because an empty box has no value per se. Of course I do declare my new H bag at the airport, receiving my VAT refund (they now have kiosks at CDG so this is a shorter experience than it used to be) and I pay customs due upon my return to the States.

It was very unfortunate that today's events coincided with the fashion shows. The crowd was immense. Cancellation of the appointment was absolutely not an option.

By the way, she requested a scarf I wanted for me. I also got a black Kelly belt with gold hardware.

In general, most TPFers have posted not to ask for a Non QB in a walk in, unless you want to risk being refused a QB at a subsequent lottery appt in the same trip.

But, there are notable exceptions like below, where someone got a non QB; a QB; and a non QB on subsequent appts, all on the same trip. . (Two walk ins, each before and after a prearranged leather appt)

I would say that this experience is atypical IMO. For those of us who are able to make prearranged appointments, an SA may offer QBs and non QBs at the same appt. However, I have never accepted more than one QB and one non QB at the same time.

First of all, I don't want to disappoint anyone, so I want to start by saying that I scored a Picotin 18 Rouge H, GHW.

Last week, I visited a SA with a friend who knew her. She told us to come for today. We went. First, I ordered a scarf that wasn't available in the store. It will arrive in a few days. Then, I bought a black Kelly belt with gold hardware.

The SA said she couldn't help us for an appointment today because of the fashion shows and suggested us to come back next week. She also advised me to drop by the store and say hello every day.

After that, I returned home and went to the Sevres store, which is 5 minutes away from my house, with my kids. I went straight downstairs and said I wanted to look at wallets.

While I was playing rock-paper-scissors with my son, who would turn 8 in just 3 days, a gentleman organizing appointments came over and asked if anyone was assisting me. I said no one had helped me yet and mentioned that I had been trying to get a Picotin appointment for 5 days. He said he would send someone right away. A very sweet SA came. She asked what color I wanted and came back with this beauty. I was very surprised and very happy. I asked the SA if we could do future shopping together. She said yes 😂

My efforts for a Kelly will continue.🙏🏻🧿

I have been dealing with so much disappointment for such a long time. My first H bag, even the B25, was bought in someone else's name. This officially became my first baby.
