Today, according to information obtained from a French friend, appointments are required for products including Picotin or long wallets (kelly to go or constance to go). I guess this applies to those who didn't plan on asking about bags after doing pre-shopping.

This has always been the official message (well, always since the start of the current appointment system). However, it is well demonstrated that having a brief rapport with an SA (via shopping, purchasing or not) and then asking for these items specifically, is much more likely to be successful than the same events but asking for a quota bag.

Does anyone feel like they have been treated better by Paris SAs or have had a more successful experience when they carried a B/K/C to the store or leather appointment vs when they have not carried one?
Following this question. Havent been to any of the Paris stores, yet, and was wondering if tourists really wear their BKCs there. I was assuming not everything you see on IG is real life where tourists pose their OOTDs carrying their BKCs in touristy places in Europe. I personally dont plan to wear my B or K for security purposes and would rather not try to catch attention even with hotel staff as i feel like anyone can just steal anything (like from your hotel room too)

P.S. Im bringing my crossbody mini della :D and putting an LV mini pochette accessoires inside (for my cards) with it’s chain zipper wrapped around the mini della’s straps for an extra layer of protection against sneaky hands.

Usually I get the most positive comments on my ostrich roulis because it's not something they see all the time, and it's also stunning (IMO).

You'll see plenty of B/K/C being worn by people shopping at the Paris stores. Just wear whatever you are most comfortable with wearing.

For my last offer (last spring) at Sèvres, I was wearing Adidas, sneakers, carrying a Prada ReNylon and my groceries…we got a walk in appointment and a Kelly!
I’d imagine that they don’t care what you have purchased but what you might purchase in the future. I live in the PNW, where many of the 1% wear fleece and technical wear and yet have the capacity to buy whatever they want…I’m quite sure the H SAs know not to judge a book by it’s cover.
Be polite, show enthusiasm for the various métiers and you’ll be treated well.

ETA: of course they care about your previous spending at H in general, but the particular SA with whom you’ll be working is hoping that you’ll spend more with them during this particular visit. While they may not get commission, they still want the sale.

Honestly, I don't like wearing just one brand from head to toe, and I find such a customer profile contrary to the brand identity.

While studying brand history at university, our professors taught us that using the products that form the identity of a brand is a true salute of respect to that brand.

That's why I always like to visit the Hermès store wearing their scarves.

I'll be coming to Paris with my B25 this summer. I'm thinking of wearing it when I stop by the store. But will it provide any advantage? We'll see.

The first Kelly I ever got from FSH (when you would queue in line) I was wearing a white Gap dress and no H items on me. I really don’t think it increases your chances in any way. What I do know from years of shopping in Paris is being polite and persistent can lead to a successful outcome. Bottom line is wear what makes you feel comfortable and confident!

It doesn't matter. I've carried my Bs, an Evelyne, or an LV Neverfull GM. I usually have on no name jeans or sweats with Nike tennis shoes. I'm a tourist, walking all over Paris and do not dress up to go to H. Regardless, I've gotten a B or other QB offer on every visit when I sought one out. Just be kind and sincere and take a no in stride and remember you're in Paris. Go enjoy it.
