I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

My friend was offered:
• b30 craie ghw
• b30 gold ghw - accepted
It’s her first quota bag so I was more excited for her than for myself! I remember the giddy feeling of my first score at fsh and seeing her reaction was priceless.

I was offered
• b25 black ostrich phw
• b30 chai + toile phw - accepted
I was told this edition is exclusive to France for the time being. My SA said they may or may not sell it in other regions in the future

I must say that I am sick of playing these H games and that I admire to all of you dear ladies.
I am sick of ruining my trips because of anticipation and hoping and dissapointment at the end.
Also, admit that I bought 2 Kelly bags via resellers (personal shoppers).
Both bags were purchased in France, one of them in George V store.
So, yes they have them.
Do you mind messaging me who you used as a personal shopper? I am going to wait a bit more to see if I get a QB offer, but want to be prepared in case I have to go that route. Thank you!!

Very nice---since you mention this edition is exclusive to France...did it come in the blue box?

As far as I know, Hermes Paris no longer accepts appointment requests from hotels, and it has not done so since at least Spring 2022. It seems like Hermes is moving towards lottery, walk in, and regular clients by appt, with respect to bag acquisition. If one is interested in other non bag metiers, any SA can assist. I have been told that a home store arranged appt is a one time offer for special local clients (I have not experienced one myself). Post covid, I think it would be especially difficult to start a relationship with a Paris SA if one’s main goal is a QB. JMO

Am so happy for you and cannot wait to see your latest treasure! Love your hair
Thanks, I wasn't aware about the hotel appointments.
I think you're right - difficult if not impossible to start a relationship with a Paris SA for a QB in the current environment. Maybe if I scored an appointment on one of these attempts :) I haven't been able to buy a QB since 2017. By the time I get another, I will be super grateful. The best part is my wish list hasn't really changed all of this time, guess that's why we love Hermes.

I completely identify with your post. I'm having the same experience. I just got back from Paris. I was also there in July with the same result. No appointment, no walk-in appointment offered. I have had SAs previously but when there is a change with the SA, there seems to be no way to get a replacement SA.

I think there is an unprecedented amount of demand at Hermes. Maybe the highest in its history. I think the desk just says no, no and no. Especially if there are other people around. I'm not sure how many people even get an appointment. I think there are a lot of hotel appointments, home store-arranged appointments, and established SA appointments versus lottery appointments. And the SAs in other departments have zero power to offer leather or expect you to spend big. And I mean big. I bought some shoes on my trip and that's what the SA told me. If I spent a lot, he could go to his manager. For me, I can't compete with that, I simply don't want or need that much stuff. I'm happy with a once-a-year jewelry purchase, maybe a scarf or two, and I love love love H shoes. I really only want one or two more bags.

I miss the old days, walking into George V, buying a few things, maybe getting a bag to go with them, and getting expert guidance from an SA. There are still some good SAs, I had a wonderful experience in jewelry at George V last summer. But the lottery has never worked for me on multiple trips. Walking in and asking for a cancellation feels awkward to me. I was fine lining up because that was the process. But asking for cancellation makes me feel like a desperate loser who didn't get picked for the basketball team. And that I'm wasting their time because I followed the process and I wasn't selected - I should just accept it and leave them alone.

Unless the economy changes, I don't think anything will change at Hermes in Paris. There is just too much money in the global economy. Everyone is there ready to spend spend spend. The odd person will get lucky, but reading through this thread, it isn't that many.

I wish you luck though and will send positive vibes!
I should also clarify but can't edit the post - that I did not expect buying shoes to result in a leather appointment lol!

How wonderful for your friends to get her first bag in Paris!

Congrats on your new B! Toile combos are among my favorites! Hope to see action shots if you are so inclined ! Am happy for you
Thank you so much! I can share some action shots in the other thread.
Congratulations to you both! Love, love, love the toile combo. I was offered mine in this exact location in the store as well. ☺️
Thank you! I didn't realize how light the toile combo is, compared to a togo b30. I hope you've been enjoying yours!

That's so nice of you to say! Thank you.

It didn't come in a blue box. Quite frankly, I don't think it's "special" enough for a blue box as the toile combo has been around for some time already. My cargo b25 from fsh also didn't have a blue box, but the canvas bags are blue.

i wish i knew their criteria. my purchase history is not too strong but still about 10k ( every attempt is just a false hope
So many of us are in this same boat! Sadly I have never been granted an appt through the lottery. Thankfully I have a home store that I shop at, but aspire to a relationship in Paris one day since just love the city so much and would be nice to have some fun at H there when I go! Alas I guess should count my blessings that able to worry about this and have had luck at home store! Best of luck to all trying!

Not sure if this is helpful, but I've gotten an appointment with very little purchasing history in Paris (<2k), albeit at the Sevres store. I'm not sure if they set different criteria for FSH or if there's just more local/VIP appointments there so there are less lottery spots. But just sharing that I'm not sure how much purchasing history matters. I have heard though that it may affect whether you get a walk in spot (they will check your profile if they're considering giving you a walk in), and I was also told by an SA that they can see how many times you've applied through the lottery. I'm not sure if that's specific to the store or even the "no preference" appointment requests, if it counts all applications or just the most recent consecutive ones, etc., but apparently they can see something when they access walk in slots. But my impression is that walk ins at FSH are veeery tough to get. Haven't heard of anyone getting one recently.

Was it a QB? I was once offered a non-QB at Sevres as a walk-in and I hope I didn’t waste my luck on that! They of course checked my purchase history & trials. The next time I visited, they just straight out said no walk-in available. It’s just getting tougher and tougher. Thank you for sharing your experience
