I was in paris during Fashion Week, while I wasn't actively seeking a bag since I bought one in October that I hadn't yet used, my sister was looking for a bag in either nata or craie. Knowing a SA in Paris, I asked if they could arrange a leather appointment. We went on Friday, and he spoke the lady at the desk who initially scheduled me for Monday, which happened to be the SA's day off. I thanked her and left, but about 15 minutes later, she called to inform me that she had made a mistake and could only fit me in on Wednesday. On Wednesday, when we checked in at the leather desk, we were surprised to find our appointment was with the SA I knew. He acted surprised and kept saying, "Oh, I'm shocked; you're so lucky." He then asked if I planned to buy any jewelry or other items along with the bag, which made me uncomfortable as I realized the nature of the appointment. We explained that we had attempted to shop there but couldn't find the sizes we needed, nor could the store order the items we wanted. We have asked for different QB and non QB bags in different style and sizes the most important thing was the colour more than the bag, he asked like he is making and efforts to find what we asked for and offering alternative items, but he kept returning empty-handed, apologising that the bags he see on his phone cant be found inside and that he was shocked (again) that the store is empty from any handbags and items. I disliked feeling pressured to buy things I didn't want; I already have an impressive collection of bags and shoes, and the ready-to-wear items don't suit my body. Ultimately, we left, feeling that we were pressure to purchase items to be offered anything. To be honest i should have seen this coming as he was telling the lady at the leather desk to look at how well we are dressed and how much we will spend in the store in french ( they didn’t know we understand french).
I’m slightly confused by your sharing. Since you (a) know this particular male SA; and (b) you have an impressive collection, you must have shopped with him beforehand and know the rigours of scoring a QB in Paris.

Hi all, I saw an influencer on Instagram show off that she scored 10 bags in Paris without a leather appointment ( presumably in the same store at one go). Is this possible? I’m thinking if it’s because she wore a lot of Hermes jewelry and a mini kelly picnic. She posted on her stories that she’s so lucky that she didn’t have a leather appointment and got approached to be offered bags at the store! She left with 10 bags (maybe spread across her hubby and in laws passports so a total of 4 passports?) mostly qb and a few exotics. I don’t really remember all the bags she posted but if I’m not wrong there were 2 b25, 2 k25, 1 mini Lindy, 1 mini Lindy ostrich, 1 mini Kelly croc, 1 mini Kelly epsom, 1 Kelly pochette croc, and sth else. I’m shocked that someone can score such coveted items all in one shot? Is this really possible? She posted all the bags for sale on her insta stories right away and I’m so irked by that! I’m a genuine customer and I can’t even purchase a qb when this lady resells every piece she purchased 😭

I don't even know who this person is but I would definitely not take any of this seriously or to heart. The bags all for sale immediately, is already an instant red flag, even if not to us then I would think to Hermes. Please do not lose sleep over this. ;-)

Hmmm yea but Hermes won’t even know she’s a reseller because she has a lot of Hermes on her and wearing a mini picnic Kelly. So I’m wondering is that the reason she was able to get those bags? Because she’s a vip presumably? Getting 2 or even 3 quota bag I can understand but getting 10??!!
Anyway, I don’t think she’s lying because she’s selling them so buyers will cross check that the receipts were really from Paris and on those dates?
I’m just curious how she was able to do that. Because I’m hoping to get a qb in Paris. Failed last time I was in Paris in Dec 2021
Also forgot to mention that the mini Kelly picnic she wore she also got in Europe probably Paris only at the end of February!

Do you trust that all the bags are from a Hermes store, at retail? Some posters are not as transparent with details or prior prespend either. Ultimately it's up to you to decide what to believe.

Did you consider the fact it might be fake bags ? :) A lot of influencers pretends to score at H while they actually buy super fakes from HK or Dubai !

I find it hard to believe that even if indeed someone was able to get such a haul, they would advertise it like this.

Don’t believe everything you see on social media. Not just with Hermes but with everything or you’ll go crazy.

Perhaps this is worth sharing and discussing in the influencer thread?
Anyway, from what I see here in Paris, this sounds like a typical social media fake flex. As others have said, it's wise not to believe everything one sees on social. Fakes are available to buy in France as well as in other places, there is a well-known counterfeiter here :shrugs:

Actually I’m quite curious to know who this IG influencer is. Would be quite a feat to score 10 bags in Paris but like the rest, I have my doubts on the veracity. @callmelindy can you share?

One has to "read" between the lines with regard to what is shared & posted here as being credible
There is so much knowledge that is shared in particular from @QuelleFromage who has the
ability to put this scenario into perspective & for us to know what is real & what is being said as a possible tease
after all there have been many social media posts that are turn out to be "smoke & mirrors".. There are
times we just need to take a step back & just say "really" instead of being caught up in it all
I'd be curious also to know who this "IG influencer" is because for the most part what they
share needs to be taken with a grain of salt, JMO

Help! Super rando, I’m literally at the airport on my way to Paris. I can’t make a leather appointment at hermesfaubourg.com and keep getting a blocked message. So has my husband, sister, best friend (in another state) and other friend. Am I doing something wrong? I never had a problem trying to get the lottery appointment when I was in Paris 2 years ago. I’ve done private browser, cleared my cache, restarted my phone, tried my work computer, work phone and wifi/no wifi. Help!IMG_3678.png

I would exercise caution taking at face value anything on social media. Some influencers are transparent/upfront while some have uhmmm, varying integrity with how they present themselves and their lifestyles. There are always "creative" ways to portray the story even when it is far from the truth. TBH I wouldn't be surprised if at some point there's a filter that makes it look like you have various H items (trying not to put that thought out in the universe!)
But to stay on topic - I think it also helps to inform oneself (as much as you can, I know there are limits) of the reality when shopping in Paris. I definitely learned a lot on this forum and was able to go into FSH/Sevres/George V with realistic expectations. While not my first time in Paris, it was my first time visiting the stores - and I was able to not go away disappointed, and really enjoy the many other wonderful aspects of the city. Good luck!

I’m assuming you’re trying in the US? Once
you arrive in Europe or UK and get on a local wifi, you should be good. I was able to make an appointment request once I landed in London. God luck!

I must say that I am sick of playing these H games and that I admire to all of you dear ladies.
I am sick of ruining my trips because of anticipation and hoping and dissapointment at the end.
Also, admit that I bought 2 Kelly bags via resellers (personal shoppers).
Both bags were purchased in France, one of them in George V store.
So, yes they have them.
