In my opinion Birkin as first bag! You can purchase one quota bag at the appointment. 2 a year in Paris. I think some people have been allowed to purchase a non quota at the same time? My SA said it wasn’t possible though and instead told me to book leather appointments for the non quota bags. Good luck! A good relationship with your SA is definitely a good sign and there are always bags in Paris 😊
This is very interesting and new to me. Thanks for posting!

Thank you ❤️ I have a leather SA too who is super kind to me. I am feeling positive about the appointment but trying not to get too excited just incase. It would be my first quota bag- what would you recommend as my first bag- a Birkin or Kelly? Also how many bags are you allowed? I will keep everyone posted of my experience just praying I will have some luck.
Do you prefer a shoulder strap? If so I say Kelly. Do you like a bigger tote style? Then Birkin. If you're leaning towards a smaller bag and you're fine carrying in the hand or elbow, either could be great, so then you can leave it up to fate and see whichever they might have in the size/color you're looking for. Both are really gorgeous bags. I personally prefer the Kelly because I like the shoulder strap option and it seems a little more understated (or at least it was until a few years ago). I just feel too nervous carrying around a Birkin day to day in the city. That being said I saw a gorgeous B 25 in box on display and can't stop thinking about it...

Just returned from my trip. I visited Hermes in Venice Florence and Rome with absolutely no luck. Last stop Paris… I was unable to get an appointment …using both my passport as well as my husbands. I visited all three stores. A Lovely person in the leather appt area (main store)told me to return after 2 pm, which I did! They squeezed me in and gave me an appointment ! I was asked what I wanted I stated a Kelly 28 or 32 in black re gold hardware! Believe it or not…that is what I got! I am over the moon!
Which store did you end up getting the appointment at??? How wonderful for you!!

Last year in May, I was offered a QB (K28) + a non QB (Lindy26) + other non quotas (5 bags in total), SA told me I can pick 1 QB and 1 non QB from the 5 offered.

I am not a VIP.
I have had the same experience with my regular FSH leather SA, then one day a different experience with someone else covering for my SA. It really comes down to the SA and how that person implement his/her work guidelines.

At FSH, SAs covering for my regular one, have offered one 25 QB and a non QB (picotin, rainbow bolide, box plume, Della cav) for purchase at the same time. (I think they just read off what is available since I don’t have a wishlist). Perhaps it might depend on what a particular SA is authorized to offer at that time. . .

Same experience in December. As with everything H there are no hard and fast rules.
Agreed, there is no such rule as "only one bag at a time". SAs may wish to spread the bags out across customers or whatever, but it's not policy here in Paris.

Hi , I was hoping for some advice!
I am going to Paris next week with my Mum, I have had a wish list for a year in the uk for a neutral coloured B25 with rose gold hardwear and it’s not been fulfilled.

I am hoping to get a Paris app, and if not try for a walk in app. I want to buy while I’m there a Kelly belt, a couple of silk scarves and the men’s fresh boots for my husband and maybe a couple of other things (orans etc) . Should I buy all these at once with one SA or split up my purchases between stores to try for a walk in app? Which store would you recommend if I were to buy all at once?

I really want to expand my chances of a bag, I am planning of dressing nicely (Maxamara coat, leather boots and smart trousers kind of vibe), should I wear my rose gold Rolex? I have read they base what they offer on the colours you wear?
Any advice would be so appreciated 🙏

My personal practical advice to to actually see if you can find everything you want in one store to begin with. It's not always easy so try the store nearest where you are staying. I think the most challenging part is getting a leather appointment, whether online or as a walk in. I wouldn't worry about much other than that. It's all down to luck and timing.
I would also say it's really not necessary to wear your watch if you wouldn't normally do so. The SAs generally will ask and try to fulfil requests as close to youd top preference anyway. It's probably better to reduce any risk to your and your Mother's personal safety while travelling and shopping.
Wear what reflects your own taste, be yourself. That's important and genuine sincerity comes across.
One extra tip. If you do accept an offer I think you are required to declare large purchases at customs. I am not sure about this as things seemed to have changed since Brexit? I would do so to avoid any problems.
And now I can only wish you bonne chance.

I would keep the Rolex at home to avoid any unwanted attention while traveling in Paris - best of luck!

Just as an fyi, I haven’t seen any offers of B25 with RGHW in months, maybe even over a year now. It may simply be currently paused in production so I’d encourage you to be more open with your specs as it’s likely you are requesting something that doesn’t exist right now.
