I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

It depends on where you are based I think. I’m in NL, in August I bought a bag in Belgium and when back in NL they could see my purchases at the Belgium boutique. A few weeks ago I bought a Kelly in Paris and my SA in NL congratulated me. She could see I’ve gotten a Q but not what.

Thanks, @smoothsailor. While I understand your approach, I really value my relationship with my SA in NYC, and do not want to hurt my SA in any way... That's why I wanted to ask about this.

@SKS - This is great to know. This is something I needed to know.

@bichdreams - That's interesting. I guess the EU shares the client profiles in general, except the UK and Switzerland?
From my experience, EU territories that share sales/marketing teams are connected (Benelux being a perfect example); the Paris stores have some visibility into cross-EU purchases but not vice-versa. (UK and Suisse of course aren't in the EU.)

As @oohshinythings said, it would be really surprising if a US SA was bothered by Paris purchases. Before I moved to Paris, I shopped here regularly and it was never an issue with my SAs at home.

my home store has even arranged for introductions for me at FSH etc. They know Paris can offer things they may not be able to at times; that’s just the truth.
a local Maison or flagship may still offer to make an FSH appointment for favored clients, but I do know one VVIP whose leather SA declined to do so. However, she can and does get everything she wants at her home Maison.

I have a dear friend who is starting her Hermes journey  and she is getting married next year. She was looking to buy a 12 setting dinner set. Should she buy it when she is in Paris since it will be a better deal. Will that help her get a leather appointment or does she have to do lottery. Or is it beneficial for her to buy it where she is from in the US in the hopes of getting a quota bag. Her husband is DC based and she is NYC based. Any thoughts?
We never know where Hermes is concerned. If there is stock, there might be a chance of scoring a bag especially when she's getting married. No harm trying! Keep us updated about the outcome!

I just spoke with my SA today at my appointment and asked her how she knew. So she explained:

Benelux shares the client-profiles. Your homestore can’t see what you’ve bought in Paris and visa versa.

Well: The SA’s in Paris can’t see what you’ve bought at your homestore on their iPads/phones. But if they want it can happen. I think they need to check it on a main computer?

And then she said she knew I got a Kelly because she saw my Instagram. 🤣 Not because she was checking but we have a few friends in common and she saw my photo. She showed me my profile and none of my Paris purchases were visible.

SA’s understand you’re trying your luck in Paris. No hard feelings if you manage to get the items you want because every store has a different inventory and some items are reserved for Paris only.

Hopefully this isn’t making it more complicated.

My SA in germany told me they can only see QB which are purchased in Paris, not other items. The SA in Paris told me they can only see QB and our online purchases in our profile. So if you purchase a QB in Paris, your SA will see it in your profile (worldwide)

I just won the lottery system for a 3rd time .

I’d have to change my flight to make it happen, which I will… but what are the chances at George v? I’ve won there before and they had no bags….

Has anyone ever scored there?
I got my first birkin at George V, this was back in 2019 and it was on my Birthday (I didn't mention that, the sa looked at my passport)

Hi everyone, does anyone have a RTW SA at FSH who would be willing to share their contact info?

There’s a coat I’ve had my eye on, and would love to try to reserve it for my trip to Paris in a few weeks.

Thanks very much in advance! 🙏🏼
