I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

+1 with @gi201 and @Bdbunny on the warmth of FSH, so much so that I’ve never managed to get to Sevres (we usually only have time for one morning at H. I have been to george V, mainly bc my hotel is close by, but never felt one way or the other about it.

This trip, my FSH SA offered what she called a brand new kind of toile 30B ( at least she and her colleagues had not seen it before) toile maxi bivouac in ficelle/Nero veau swift (I accepted) and a Constance 18 in shiny Nero lizard, phw (I declined).

She knows I love all kinds of toile leather combos and I had asked about something in lizard.
I crossposted in 2023 offers thread. 30B was 8,900 EU.

I also picked out a cashmere Serge moto jacket, a sports coat with leather buckle fastening, and a turtleneck sweater. DH got a heavy cashmere zip cardigan with a detachable hood (with Clou de Selle snaps).

Hi , does anyone know how much do you need to spend in a year in hermes paris to be a vip there? And does becoming a vip waive the two quota bags per year limit?

And im wondering do they offer SO shoes to everyone? Or do i need an existing SA relationship?

I have friends who are high net worth individuals as well as long standing clients who are not subjected to the limit of two QB. One friend is not subject to the two QB limit even in her home store, but it’s not like she asks or even really cares. For them, it isn’t a function of spend amount per se, and I think it would be subject to the discretion of ones SA and SM with whom trust has been established. For those clients, one SA shepherds them throughout the store. I’ve never asked what their spend is, and I don’t know that they calculate this like many on the thread do. For other long standing clients who have large collections already and reject offered bags frequently, im sure an accommodation could be made if say they adored a special bag. As to your specific inquiry as to euro amount, I am sure there is an amount per visit that a newcomer could spend that would override the limit. Perhaps in high jewelry; furnishing of multiple residences; or custom outfitting ones plane. None of which is remotely in my budget, so I’m just speculating on this last part, lol.

Makes sense, as I just saw a somewhat celebrity that posted in the private room in fsh , getting three birkin crocs; two of them are b20

Here's a little secret: not everything you see in pictures or videos is genuine. While it's possible for someone to be offered three exotic bags, it's highly unlikely that they can purchase them all at once, unless they're a top VIP client. In fact, most people who receive such offers don't share them and are usually asked by their sales associates or store managers to not post them publicly.

Personally, I'm not a VIP client at all, but I've been offered more than one bag multiple times. I could easily take a video of these offers and claim that I bought two bags, and no one would know the difference. But trust me when I say that having a good relationship with the store is more important than being a big spender when it comes to getting a bag. Of course, if you have both, then that's even better.

I agree. At a certain point of being a regular, clients would be shown multiple bags at once. I mean who doesn't want an SA coming up from the dungeon with a whole pile of boxes? It actually also makes it easier to make a decision when one can see them all and compare them simultaneously. However it's not always assumed that it's possible to purchase everything, all in one visit. It's also possible that the private rooms can look completely empty because the available options are simply read out and the most favoured choices then brought up for perusal. As usual with Hermes anywhere in the world, client experiences vary a lot.

The only celebrity I see who is very open about it is Cardi B hahahaha. She posted on social media saying how her home store SA didn’t have a certain Birkin she was looking for, so she went to Hermes in Paris for it lollll. She said something like “people come to Paris for fashion week but I came here for my Birkin.”

Pray do tell who this demi celebrity is. Would love to admire the croc beauties that were offered at FSH. B20s still seem very much of a mystery to me.

As for your query on what maketh a VIP, I’m pretty sure no one has a definitive answer. I completely agree with an earlier post that client experiences vary. Even within Paris, I’ve gone through SAs offering (a) just one QB, (b) multiple bags to select from and (c) SAs reading off the iPhone to share what’s available before bringing out the bag of choice. The first time I experienced (c), I almost wanted to ask my SA if the disappearance act at other boutiques is real but I didn’t have the guts to do so.

Wishing you the best of luck in your H journey! It’s a slippery slope filled with beautiful surprises and one that requires patience and understanding that sometimes you’ll feel like you’re experiencing unrequited love from your SA.

I reckon appointments can be a combo of all three options as well.
If one is a regular at the store the SA would always ask what you are looking for. FSH always starts with bags first thing in the morning, even if I ask to see RTW/ Shoes/ Home first. I don't really know why because I know for a fact they get afternoon deliveries or bags freed up. :-)
Take the example of a B20, read out a list of all B20 not spoken for in the stock room, bring the requested one or two, as well as a couple of other bags all at once and say, "You are welcome to choose this B20 and x number of other bags". Separate accounts obviously work differently and my DH and I have had separate ones since we started as clients, much to our surprise .
I'll hazard a guess and also say you can be treated as a VIP from the start with zero prespend or you could be a high net worth individual assigned a Charge de Clientèle with average minimum spend of €100k to €250k per visit, based on 4 visits a year. By that time you wouldn't need to worry about any bag quotas. :graucho:

Not too sure if there are images of unboxing. If it is just a display of bags, then maybe they are display pieces which is just brought for try on. I have seen YouTuber request to try on different sizes/colour but doesn’t mean the bags are offered.
