I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

IMO only if you go too soon after August, stock may not be replenished. Could be low. But that’s only my theory.
I do think that if you are lottery, it is simply the luck of the draw, whether your SA has been allotted a bag to show, and if you are the lucky individual who gets one.

I go in September. My FSH SA told me that if I want to see the RTW for the next season without obligation to go the last day of fashion week in September, but I have not managed to do so yet. Last year I went before fashion week, and my SA literally mumbled that she didn’t want all the bags to go to FW VIPs. I got my 28K quadrille. But, I have an FSH SA and a pre scheduled appt. DH also prefers to travel in September and hates to travel in the summer.

Where what you normally wear to be comfortable. But, the advantage to wearing premier RTW for your SA is that she may more quickly ascertain your preferences by your choices.

I love your style. It’s both authentic to you and absolutely gorgeous, with or without the kelly

LOL, @horeslove. I love premier RTW more than bags, and that’s what I like to wear. It’s also easier for an SA to ascertain my taste ans style if I wear my normal. As a matter of both preference and appreciation, for a RTW appt, I like to mix the brand’s RTW with other brands (I dislike the head to toe look in a single designer). Since, I prefer less logo intensive items, they can mix more readily. NY SA loves Dior (and Prada of all things). The NY bespoke SA used to work at Dior. And, a sweet Dior SA that I met in Rome, used to work at Hermes. So, there is considerable overlap. My FSH SA asked about and loved my courreges pants (I got the distinct impression that she wears courreges herself on off hours bc it fits well and is relatively well priced). No one bats an eyelash at my footwear which is usually a pair of birkenstock slip on sneakers or MtM hiro yanagimachi sneakers.

ETA: when I’ve gone to Hermes FSH, I wear my travel bags, either my Loewe mini puzzle or dior men’s black leather saddle, adjustable crossbody seatbelt strap, no hw. I sometimes go back for a subsequent RTW appt, and then I will wear an H bag or QB that I just purchased. Since, I’ve gone into granular detail  , here are favorite travel outfits that I have worn to FSH where I have gotten a 25QB : Dior no logo, mixed with Hermes and chanel. These are typical of the style and color I wear normally when I am not shopping. When I got my first 25K from FSH (my first visit), my SA said she would have appropriate RTW selections for me in my size the next morning if I could come back. When I said sure, she asked, “RTW separates in dark colors, yes?” Lol. I don’t usually wear dresses when I plan to try on RTW bc I need tops or bottoms to try things on.

You and your DH have both such an amazing style. I go ahead and say your pics in this post are inspirational

I love purses . That’s all . The Birkin is my holy grail and I would love to purchase one directly from a Boutique . A fresh new one , that’s not all banged up , scratched , worn out , for 3x or even 4x the retail price . The fact that people mark up bags that are all worn out or brand new SOLELY because they make them so hard to get at the boutique is more in my eyes the bigger scam than the lottery system .
Not all bags on the secondary market are over priced for their condition or 3x/4x retail price. If you're not interested in anything else and you're(understandably) at your wits end trying to get one in store, I really think you should reconsider the reseller route. And prices are a lot lower than what they were this time last year. With a little research, and yes patience, I'm sure you can find something you'd love.

You seem to travel a lot(saying you've been to 100 Hermes locations) maybe on your travels look for resellers that have physical stores. A lot of them make it special, glass of champagne, one on one service AND something you don't typically get in the H boutique, trying on the bags! You can have the same special boutique experience and walk away with the bag of your dreams.

What an absolute sick joke . Currently in Paris . I tried to get a leather appointment via the lottery website with both my husband’s passport number as well as mine . Different emails , different phone numbers . I tried 4 days in a row , only to get denied every single time . The final day , they didn’t even bother to send us denial emails , or no such luck emails , and when I emailed the client email provided on their email they sent , I asked why I had not gotten a rejection or a confirmation, and they replied , “ just take the no email response as a rejection “ . I was like isn’t it all computer generated anyways since it’s a lottery . This whole lottery system thing is such a joke . Its ridiculous. I know I’m only venting here and there are bigger problems in in the world . “People are dying Kim” , but it’s just so deflating and upsetting . I even went into to all the Hermes stores trying to ask for a canceled appointment and nothing happened . They were all booked for the day . I’m can’t believe I wasted so much time , energy and efforts while on my vacation . I’m very tired of trying for a Birkin bag . It’s NEVER going to happen from a boutique at this point . This will be my 6th year trying from the boutique and I am just sick to my stomach over trying . I have wasted so much time and energy out of my life trying to secure something that will never ever come . On top of all of that , the employees are garbage people with terrible attitudes . I’m sure I’d turn into an awful person when people treat me like garbage when I tell them that there is nothing to offer them . The whole Paris appointment system is just a scam and I doubt anyone posting their success is letting you know the full story . *Rant Over*
No worries you’re not alone. Very few are fortunate to get an appointment and unfortunately very many know the feeling of being denied by the H-system.

Hope you do get your B/K soon

Thank you for feeling my frustrations and I’m glad you and your friend were able to secure appointments .

My post was just out of sheer frustration. It wasn’t only Hermes who let me down on my trip . Every store was a complete waste of time . Chanel was out of stock of everything , Rolex , Cartier , and Longchamp . I have enough LV so I didn’t go in there , I was like surely I can just go home with a Le Pliage Eiffel Tower tote as a souvenir . Sold out ! LoL I was so deflated at that point I didn’t know what to do .

I just put so much energy into thinking this trip to Paris would be my chance to get a bag from Hermes because my home store is so ridiculously competitive.

I’m trying to cheer up and enjoy the rest of my holiday but it’s very depressing to not get offered or be able to purchase anything you wanted to prior to leaving on your vacation . I had big dreams and hopes of shopping and it being my 10 year wedding anniversary gift , and not being able to bring something special home just made me extra sad .
Yes do cheer up as you are in one of the most beautiful cities in the world & that doesn't make
this bitter Hermes pill any more pleasant to deal with, sorry to say
These are words that you likely are not going to want to hear, but posters have shared their thoughts
with regard to pre-spend upwards of 5 to 1 in order to acquire a bag & there are still no
guarantees. It's extremely competitive even with those clients having "brand loyalty"
There are many incredible resellers in Paris who do have bags that are in great to good condition
& perhaps at a premium, but thinking about what you may have to pre-spend to get there,
which is the lesser of two evils?
There are also some fabulous resellers here in the US as well
Enjoy your 10th anniversary!!

It 100 % isn’t just a bag . Why must they make it so hard to get ! Even in sex and city they had a waitlist that Samantha could physically write her name down for LoL ! Could you imagine an episode where she has to do the lottery system ? HYSTERICAL !
Haha! I'm pretty sure the SA quoted $5,000 for a B35, too. Also pretty depressing!

A b35 in CROC was under $20K€ at that point in time

To stay OT, again, the Paris lottery is a lottery. It isn't unfair, by definition. In fact, it's more "fair" than many other games of chance where one person can "buy" multiple entries.

I quickly visited George V and FSH today. Both pretty quiet, nothing I wanted in stock. George V SA told me I needed an appointment for Jige clutch as they consider it as a bag and not slg... FSH said the opposite so it seems that George V has its own policy about that, just like for To Go wallets. While I was browsing the displayed items, the 5 SAs at the slg desk were chatting and laughing, talking about their upcoming holidays and what they would watch in the plane.... SA answered politely but very quickly my questions, with classic answers like I was a newbie. I checked the shoes, the bags displayed... and left :)

Wow. Was this at George V or FSH?

At the FSH slg desks. No clients at all there, so the 5 SAs were enjoying their time. And they didn't stop while I was near them. I had to catch one's attention to ask my questions.
I also didn’t have good experience with the SLG desk at FSH. Was once there browsing and looking at the displayed pieces, when suddenly an SA came out of nowhere, shooed me away saying “go, you can go” with a look of disdain. There was no cordoned off area so it’s not like I was somewhere I shouldn’t have been. I was so shocked I didn’t know how to respond, but probably should have noted down her name and complained to management.

The slg desk is actually the worst to me. Over the years, SAs there have always been so weird, one of them always seems to be annoyed by what clients ask her, ALWAYS! She gives everyone that look of "I don't care" and seems to go the extra mile every time you ask her to show you something:doh:

this is completely unacceptable! But I feel you, if someone is extra rude, I am so shocked to say little to nothing of what should be the said.

That’s horrible!
I am “hoping” that she thought you were someone else but still!
When I was at the FSH in July, I went to the desk and at first the SAs were not friendly and not very interested.
They explained that they had very little stock and I saw them showing the same items to several customers.
When it was my turn, I asked very specifically for some items and questions of what existed or were made so that. The SA warmed up seeing that I knew the brand and told me that a few of them were summer interns.
After chatting a bit more and telling her that I just got a B, she looked me up and then suddenly she had more stock… She offered me secretly a Kelly Idol Charm (which I didn’t get) but I got two other charms: Birdie and Dog.
I do think that they do some triage there, which is a bit upsetting.
I am not a VIP client at all and I am lucky that she looked at my account or I wouldn’t have found the charms.
They only had to go wallets in croco and they didn’t get many then.

I’ve heard Hermes SAs in Paris each own their own metiers for a few weeks time and rotate… does this mean they can’t “help you” cross metier (outside of leather) the way it’s done in the states?

I have never been to a Paris boutique and am happy with my (tiny) local boutique and SA, but I may start frequently traveling to Paris for work on an enduring/recurring basis and want to explore potentially building a profile in Paris as well. Does it work the same as the states (find someone that matches your approach to shopping/exchange numbers for text and appointments etc)?

Any other advice?

Since quite a view people where „very disappointed“ lately I thought I’d share my „not successful“ story too.

Was not lucky with an online appointment for today. Interestingly enough no message at all yesterday evening. Today the store is extremely busy and no walk ins possible.

Was still nice to see some peace’s from the RTW section and had a lovely informative chat with an SA there too.

So not mad at all; also I left empty handed because nothing from my wishlist available in the right size.

Stay optimistic
