I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

I finally got my first Hermes appointment through the online lottery system. So my question is if it was you, what would you want to see? I’m a huge Hermes fan and although I have a vintage box Kelly, I’ve mostly purchased scarves and accessories. I tend to like the smaller sizes on me. Need some advice and inspiration from all you ladies. So excited.
What do you like? I'd ask for what works for my frame and my preferences. For example, I like bright pinks but they're not for everyone and I also have a small frame, so a big bag would overwhelm me and I like to have a backpack for work, so I wouldn't need a B35 in my life. I love gold colored bags but I don't think they would work that well with my wardrobe. When is your appt? Do you like hand held bags, do you need a crossbody, etc. etc. etc.? My friend has an Evelyne PM (medium size) and it's so elegant on her. I am still rocking my Evelyne TPM (my friend has one too!) and for how much I've loved it, it's surprisingly still in great shape.

It's always wise to give personal preferences but I do notice reading here that SAs also offer bags which they think might suit based eg on color of clients outfit, style, height etc. This obviously for clients whom they are meeting for the first time and do not know yet. I do agree that FSH has a wide range of special bags and one might be absolutely surprised by a limited edition, new style or a new leather or colour way which won't hit other stores until at least 6 months later. I speak from personal experience here.

Take the opportunity to try on different styles and sizes of bags you’re interested in. A leather appointment in Paris is one of the few opportunities you’ll get to do it so take advantage. Good luck!

Hi friends! Going to Paris in late February and my husband and I will be trying for a leather appointment on our four days there. I have a few questions:
- Is it harder to score a quota bag right before Fashion Week?
- Is the Constance 24 a quota bag in Paris?
- Has anyone been successful lately with walk-in appointments? Any tips?

I know our odds for the leather appointment are not too high. I would love a B30 or C24.

Thanks in advance!

I was told, at Sevres, that constance was a quota. However, I’ve read differently on this thread. I was also offered a constance, at Sevres, as a walk-in right before Christmas. I didn’t accept the C because I was told it was a quota and I didn’t want to risk not getting what I was really after which was a B 30.

I’m thinking a c24 will be the easier one for you to get.

The sa that I worked with at fsh told me that the b30 is the most requested bag and is the hardest to get.

Just give it a try- there’s probably a rule that they can’t ONLY sell to VIPs for an entire week as that would be gross. So if you’re in Paris- go.

Question to those with an FSH SA: when you want to make an appointment to see them, how far in advance have you been able to schedule? I only met mine a few weeks ago when I connected with her during my leather appointment and we’ve emailed a few times but I asked if she’s free in February on a date I know I’ll be in Paris for work (and also will go to FSH) but she’s not responding to that. Chat before that was great so I can’t tell if she ghosted me or doesnt know whether she’s available 2-3 weeks in advance.
I would not assume she ghosted you or take this personally. SAs are pretty busy, and she could have been on vacation. They also get a ton of email and other communication. Since you will be in Paris anyway, I would simply try again closer to the date. I’m friendly with my FSH SA but don’t really expect much email/text chat/response from her.

Re making a appt in advance, probably depends on the SA preference. Mine told me to schedule as soon as i know when i will be in paris. So that’s what I do, months before, when i plan my trip details and book airline tickets. On average, four months in advance. DH also likes to shop in Paris, at H, and other places (like Corthay, charvet, and Maison Bonnet, so the schedule is locked down once it’s in place. I confirm by email. My focus is RTW, but I have also accepted two Ks last year. I don’t have a wishlist but prefer to just rummage around and buy what i fall in love with, on that day.

@patrits , I got a 28K quadrille before fashion week bc my SA thought it would go perfectly with my toile leather jacket from my local store (she is right, and I adore it, but I would not have known to ask for it) . I think it depends on sheer luck. My spend in Paris is not high.

Thank you! Let's see what happens!!!

im going to Paris in march. I don't have any sales history at Hermes....is the lotto my only chance of getting a leather appointment--and is it only available to sign up for the night before? I'm new to the world of Hermes.

Newbie for Paris here.
Is an ostrich leather kelly 25 or 28 impossible to aquire in Paris H?
I know you all mention text messages etc. for appointment updates. How do you set your phone to get real time text messages in France? Im from the US and use an iphone via AT&T.

I was at Sevres yesterday looking for homeware. None of what I was after was in stock. I browsed shoes and sizes seemed pretty scant on almost all styles. I heard a SA tell a woman that someone had bought 3 sizes in a particular shoe the day prior and that they often only bring in one pair in certain sizes. I thought it odd H wouldn’t have flagged the woman as a reseller. SLGs were also pretty limited. A couple silk-in wallets, slim Constance wallets.. Someone was being shown a beautiful Kelly 32 in Vert de Gris and a Birkin 30 out in the open.
I think all hundreds of readers are super excited for @fashionpl,and hope they have a wonderful experience and the dream bag that so many of us don’t know until we lay our eyes on it. People so rarely get the exact combination they thought was their dream bag. What’s magical about Hermes and shopping is finding something you didn’t know existed and falling in love with it at first sight. My favorite purchases are the ones I did not know I wanted before going to the store. I can’t wait to see what @fashionpl is offered and the story attached to it!

As to what I would ask in this case, I would keep it quite open style wise. I would make clear what are no’s like hardware, leathers, size, or colors. I would talk about how much you love your vintage Kelly. I tend to always keep the colors open as I have fallen in love with too many Hermes colors I didn’t even know existed.

Here’s my first Birkin. Thank you @J’adoreHermes and others for the kind words and advice. My husband actually got me the appointment and he was so proud of himself. I’m thinking it’s because he’s already in their system as everything we’ve purchased in Paris is under his passport. My first leather experience has been amazing. Everyone was so kind to me at Faubourg and the SA seemed so interested in learning more about me so that she could match me to the right bag. I told her that I wanted a Birkin in 25. I told her about my vintage Kelly. I told her about my Chanel’s. I get the sense that she liked the fact that this will be my first Birkin. She also connected with my husband on our vintage cars. Such a great experience with such a great representative of Hermes. Turns out the bag she offered me was a perfect shade of mauve which just happens to go perfectly with one of our vintage cars. I came away loving the brand even more.
