Applied for two (passport) appointments right at 10:30. My appt request got accepted, I confirmed via email. My hubby kept getting the message “due to overwhelming response we can’t no longer accept anymore requests.” It was only 4 mins later at 10:30am! Grrr

The appointments go that fast??

Please read the thread. The message just means their servers are overloaded and to try again later. People have had success by changing their email address in the registration. All entries are collected throughout the day and then at store close, the “winners” are selected. Time of registration does not matter.

I’ve been reading this thread for months. I understand the “winners” are selected because of this very thread. I’ve changed the emails and numbers (again, because of the thread) and got the same thing. It’s thousands of posts/pages so pretty hard to remember every.single.thing (just like you may have forgotten I’ve been posting also :smile:) especially with this not being mentioned within the past few pages. That was *the* one thing I couldn’t remember but I will try again later.

What threw me off was it said something along the lines of please try again tomorrow.

You’re right, this is a misleading statement by them. I suspect it’s their way of saying “leave us alone already guys!” :lol: when in actuality it is just a blanket response to any unsuccessful entry. If you continue to get this response, you could also try showing the rep at the appointments desk to see if they have troubleshooting tips.

It’s definitely a deterrent. Even after months of research I *almost* thought ok I will just apply tomorrow. :lol: They almost got me lol.

I literally just tried again with yet another email address and it worked!
 
Hi fellow TPFers, I have a doubt and I am sure you can help me. I have been reading this thread for weeks and thus, just to 'familiarize' myself with the system, I tried to visit the webpage from which you can (try to) request a leather appointment in Paris. However, the system does not let me in to complete the form, and I receive the following message: 'Ce site est accessible uniquement depuis un smartphone'. The problem is that, I am actually trying to enter the site from my mobile (iphone 11)! :doh: why do you think this happens? is it for some kind of IT issue? Many thanks in advance!

Yes, I want to the Serves store and purchased some items that I wanted. Stock was very low and a lot of items I wanted they didn’t have. I tried for an appt as a walk in but no luck.
This morning I went to the FSH store and asked for a cancellation and was told no appt’s available. I left the store. FSH was a mad house.

You still have a couple more days! Fingers crossed for you! Have you gotten todays response? We haven’t yet…

That’s weird. Are you using safari?

This happened to me twice when I was in Paris last week, but I still got the email to verify my registration and then the rejection email came at night.

My friend and I tried for 8 days and were unsuccessful, but of course I found other things to buy...!!!
