I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

I feel pretty welcome as a now-local. I'm not French although one of my parents was, and as soon as I give my address to a store or tell them I don't need detaxe forms, the whole vibe changes to "oh, you're LOCAL". Maybe it's because I already had a decent (not massive) history in all 3 Paris stores before I moved.
I will say FSH is so crazy that the SAs seem to look on everyone with askance, even if you live next door. And I almost never shop on Saturdays, or Sundays at the holidays.
I used to live next to FSH but would occasionally go there. I loved the SAs at Sevres. I felt more welcome. Now I mostly shop online sadly

Hi everyone! I’m extremely lucky and got an appointment for my wife… but I’m a little confused about the timing of the appointment.

I applied today (Saturday) and received the appointment email for Dec 11 (Sunday). What’s throwing me off is that I know they are closed on Sunday. Do they have special holiday hours or is my appointment really for Dec 12th?

Hoping it’s not on Monday because we are scheduled to leave Paris around 12:30 and the appointments for 11:30.

Thanks in advance!

Being not local, I only ever shopped on Saturdays at FSH with my main SA when we popped by for weekends. When he is on holiday, out training or was rotated to other stores, he has always arranged an appointment for me with one of his team. Christmas is super busy so I can imagine it is madness, but I was there in December 2019 just before Covid and it was fine. This November trip, the stores were very quiet as well, we walked in at all 3 and I don't know why. Best of luck to everyone doing their Christmas shopping. :flowers:

Please keep us updated on your appointment!! Good luck :flowers:
Appointment at FSH. Arrived half an hour early before our appointment at 11:30. SA said no BKC because no delivery today. Shown a couple mosaiques and verrous but not sold on any of them. Wife’s happy with the free tea and chocolates so that’s a win at least.

Until next time…

My dear boyfriend got an appointment at Sevres at 10:30 AM after just 3 applies. I asked about BKC, small sizes, preferred black/neutral leather but open to colours, palladium hardware is a must. After not even 5 Minutes the SA come back and offered me a Geta in black Chevre with palladium hardware. It was really a nice bag, but I just didn't love it. I politely declined. Afterwards he searched for another bag and I got offered a Roulis, also in black with palladium HW. I also declined. Overall it was a very nice experience, the store is by far the nicest in Paris. The SA was very nice to us and he offered us to show around the boutique, which was very kind. He took time for us although we didn't buy anything. :)

My SA left apparently too since I never get replies to my messages … that may have affected the way they treat me

Arrived in Paris early this morning (over 24hrs of flying from Australia!). Was pleasantly surprised to see the FSH store was open. No line to get in. Was extremely busy inside, but also lots of SAs standing around chatting amongst themselves. Nice eye candy in the display cabinets. Scarf section was hectic but RTW, shoes and men’s section was relatively quiet.
I was under the impression that SAs don’t generally move between departments (I can’t recall why I thought that) but I got a lovely SA who helped me with scarves, and gloves on ground floor, then took me upstairs to help with belts, shoes and homewares.
Didn’t even attempt to ask for appointments because it was so hectic. Will keep trying online but was lovely to visit the FSH store - it really is incredible.

I was able to get an appt after working with an SA at Sevres mid Nov. It was also strike day and I think the store was less busy? I had about $5k in pre spend up to that point and not sure if that made a difference. I asked my SA about non quota bags but once the leather SA came to ask my wishlist, I did ask for B30 and also listed other non quota bags. He told me there were no BKCs and I said this might be my only chance I could ask so I will still “practice.” He told me to wait and when he came back, asked me to follow him to a private room where there was a large orange box on the table! I was offered a B30 in Gris Perle Togo GHW and 3 Kelly 28s to choose from (gold evercolor retourne PHW, noir sellier PHW, and Etain Togo retourne GHW). Even though I had initially asked for a birkin, I went with the Kelly 28 Etain as that colorway seemed best suited to my lifestyle. He also mentioned this was my first quota bag in Paris so I’m not sure if that made a difference. There were so many factors but I don’t think it hurts to ask even if they say there are none.
Congrats for your K28. You were too lucky. Hope that i would get something on my birthday. I would try another store when my SA told me that she can not give me bag until next year. This year no more walk-in appointment so i am really dissapointed. I did not ask about BKC that day because when i was waiting for an SA, i saw some people that had appointments and were rejected, did not get offered anything, i did not want to be refused Well i am regreting right now, that i had to ask about BKC first.
I will try again on my birthday, maybe a H fairy would come to me^^

Working my way through the Hermes stores. Today I visited the George V store. Was much quieter than the craziness at the FSH store yesterday. No line to get in but still quite a lot of people about. Had to wait about 5mins to get served. Got paired with a lovely SA who was so helpful. Things that were not in stock at FSH yesterday were available here. He did say they got a delivery this morning so maybe just got lucky and so I was able to tick off a few things on my wishlist. I spent a bit of time in the store so I did muster up the courage to ask about a leather appointment and was kindly declined lol. He did say they only accepted 15 appointments (or maybe it was 50 but I wasn’t sure because of the accent) to their store a day. Lovely store to visit if you are wanting a more quieter experience.
