Hi! Might be a silly question but does anyone know for France is the quota applies per calendar year or it starts from the date of purchase? I.e if you buy a bag in December
Then come 1st Jan the quota resets and you can technically buy a bag in Jan with a 6m gap for the next bag

you betcha i did! Unfortunately he told me no. I think he said he didn't have any, but I bet it was because it wasn't allowed to be allocated to me. That would have been the ultimate dream though. Has anyone gotten a B and C at the same time? That is a fortunate person for sure!
I got a B and a C (and a mini Lindy) in the same appointment once. Funny because I had only asked for a K, and the SA came back after 20 mins with ‘we don’t receive deliveries on Mondays so no Kellys are in stock [yeah right!], but how about this mini Lindy, Constance 18 and Birkin 25? You can buy all 3 if you want’. I accepted these consolation offers

that's a great question. I went alone. But apparently, you can get 1 quota and up to 2 non quota bags at any time. However, now that i got 2 non-quotas, I can't pick another up for another year. I can pick up a quota after 6 months though. My SA said, the Constance counts as a quota now
I think you were very lucky! I believe (don't know for sure) that the number of bags you can purchase truly depends upon stock level at the time of your appointment. I was lucky enough to get a K28 in September but I was told I could not get another bag (non-quota) as stock levels were very, very low. If I did not want the Kelly and would prefer another bag they would check inventory but only one bag per appointment.

I was able to pick up another bag at the airport- but they don't check your purchase history so that was a bit of fluke in my opinion. FYI I would definitely check the airport as bags purchased at the airport turn out to be quite a bit cheaper due to the way the VAT refunds work. You only get ~10% back and then the company takes a fee, I only ended up with ~7% back because they converted from Euros to USD to CAD and I lost money at each of the exchanges. At the airport you buy at a duty free price that save you a ton vs buying in Paris directly.

I have no idea if someone has gotten 2! I’m sure they have! Either way your trip was definitely successful! Hopefully you are able to enjoy your new goodies and your stay in Paris. Getting past the appt and getting a bag thing is probably a huge relief lol

I got a C and a B in July at FSH. It didn’t seem to be an issue there.
They told me that only B and K are QB in the US when linking my accounts.

Bs and Ks are definitely QBs. The rest of the bags' classifications and how many bags one can purchase each year (whether in Paris or not) depend on the rapport that you have with your SA/SM. They can always make exceptions if they want to. That's why H clients may give different answers when asked about these things. I am sure that if H Management had a written policy on these things that they want to clearly implement (like strictly only x amount of bags per calendar year for all clients regardless of the amount they spend) they would have posted it in their store for everyone to see. The fact that they don't may be indicative of the fact that SMs and SAs use their discretion and judgement, rewarding their loyal clients and keeping in mind the sales targets that they have to reach to keep their jobs and their employer's business afloat.

Or maybe because the airport boutiques are franchises so they don’t operate on the same system.

I was in Paris last week and applied five times for a leather appointment and was rejected five times. But I asked for a Constance as a walk in and shockingly they said they could accommodate me. A lovely SA asked what I wanted - neutral color like Craie, gold, etoupe with a preference for gold hardware — and offered exactly that. Constance 24 etoupe gold hardware!

It may helped that I purchased some scarves earlier in the week, but the whole process is a mystery to me. I feel very lucky and love my new bag!
