Do you think it’s mad trying for a leather appt and hoping to score a bag during RTW fashion week at the end of Sept? Honestly have no expectations but wanted to hear any thoughts!
Ill be in Paris within next week and I vaguely remember someone posting here that due to fashion week inventory goes super low since bags are being held for celebs + on hold for shows?
Yes, it's harder during PFW, but not completely impossible either. Just like it's harder in August/beginning of September because workshops have been closed, and yet not impossible... They have seasonal justifications for rejections but some people still buy QB everyday. It's a matter of being the chosen one. By the lottery system, by stock, then by SAs...

this is true too! i will happen to be in Paris and will take my chances. After my summer experience where I planned my days around getting an appt, then got an appt, then got nothing at the appt - I know now Que sera, que sera!!

Never hurt to go in and test your luck. I think what you really need is Hermes god on your side, and possibly a few guardian angels singing to the SA's ears about what a wonderful client you are that you deserve the bag(s) of your dreams :lol:

I'll be in Paris shortly after Fashion Week ends, not much better and will still try for an appointment. As long as you don't expect anything and don't plan your stay around it, it's not mad. Just taking the opportunity.

What I would not do is intentionally make no other plans "just in case you get an appointment". That's setting you up for major disappointment.
 
Went to the Sèvres store on Thursday and today (Saturday) and it was packed!
Don’t have any SA there (my home store is FSH but the bracelet I wanted and twilly were only available in Sèvres).
Had to wait 30 minutes to be assigned to an SA which IMO is wayy too much for a non leather good… A lady was at the door taking survey on my store experience. I sure let her knew that it wasn’t acceptable.

Same at the Cartier store on Champs Elysées, had to wait 40 min to be served by an SA just to try on a bracelet.

Was in Paris today and yesterday - tried the lottery both days and was rejected of course. I went to the FSH leather counter both days and asked if pretty please I could be considered if there were any cancellations. The man Friday was very nice and said “I’m so sorry, usually we like to accommodate people when we can but we are just very busy today because we were closed Thursday/yesterday. Hopefully tomorrow will be less busy.” So i bought a couple scarves from a very nice SA. Then I went at opening on Saturday and AGAIN after lunch and it was a new woman there. She was not nearly as nice as the man Friday- just said we’re busy and basically it’s not gonna happen.

So I went down the Street and took my $10k to Chanel Got offered a beautiful caviar classic flap. I know who has my business from now on!!!
 
The issue with going to Paris with the "main purpose" of getting a QB is that you need to win the "H lottery twice". First, you have to have a leather appointment. And secondly, you have to be offered the bag that you love. There was a lady who got an appointment. So she won the H lottery once. She was offered a non-QB but she was not offered a B. The B is what she loves.....so she was not happy afterwards. Will I want to spend 5-10K USD (or whatever your budget is!) for a Paris trip with that main purpose? NO! Because I know that spending 5-10K USD with the SA in my area that I have a great rapport with is more likely to produce positive results than trying to win the H lottery twice!

I finally can travel after COVID. So I was trying buying online and collect in FSH, luckily I did get a Geta bag and it was delivered to the store before my visit today. I also purchased some other small items online as well in separate order.
So today I went to FSH in the morning, it was packed before opening and I got a SA nearby entrance helping me picking up my orders and do tax refund.
She went for a long time and came back telling me they cannot find my Geta, but all other items I bought were there.
I was shocked due to I thought even though I did not get leather appointment, I can at least get a bag.
So they said they will call me back in the afternoon, which they did not, so I went back to the store around 4PM. The SA who helped me saw me right away and said they still cannot find the bag, and she said she will check once last time.
This time she came back with another SA who seems more senior.
They said it might got sent back to the warehouse but the warehouse is closed on weekends, so they may have to get back to me on Monday. If they cannot find the bag, they wil refund the money.
I was speechless, I believe all the ppl here know how hard it is to get a leather appointment and a bag during this crazy time.
And they just left...

I am leaving on Tuesday and Monday is my last hope, plus, I did not get the Monday appointment...
I really hope they did locate my bag....:sad:

Yeah the leather desk guys are nicer and more professional. The others are just rude and need to retake customer service 101.

Oh no! I hope they didn't sell your bag to someone else by mistake. Hope they are able to locate your bag by Monday.

Poor customer service. It’s not surprising though, seems they couldn’t care less because they know people will keep flocking to Paris stores.
It doesn’t feel luxurious at all!

Oh my!:wtf: I can’t believe this is happening. People who have tried to get a bag on h.com definitely know how hard and lucky it should be able to score a bag online! Hope they will find your bag next week. If not, they should make a proper apology, and give you an offer of other bags, not just a refund.:sad:
 
Hi, Yes, wearing a mask is required inside every store in Paris. Other than H-stores. If I'm right, entering the great magasins will also require a negative PCR-test or proof of complete vaccination as of August 1st. I'm not sure if this applies to smaller stores as well.
No one required us to wear a mask in the stores in Paris. We were just there in August. Not sure if there are any new changes though.
