Just to go back to paris and appointment system, I had lunch with a friend today and she claims that her brother paid 2000 euros for an appointment and that he did get the bag he wanted for his wife. Last week i have also asked a personal shopper about getting an appointment he said he could get one for 1000-1500 euros depends on the availability, I told him i will get back to him but i didnt as i’d never pay for an appointment.

Just to go back to paris and appointment system, I had lunch with a friend today and she claims that her brother paid 2000 euros for an appointment and that he did get the bag he wanted for his wife. Last week i have also asked a personal shopper about getting an appointment he said he could get one for 1000-1500 euros depends on the availability, I told him i will get back to him but i didnt as i’d never pay for an appointment.

Oooh! So ppl already profit from the appointment system. This might explain the high number of tries per day.

I guess the personnel shopper. Imagine if I get a slot. I then 'sell' my slot. My data are registered so I will go with the buyer and buy the bag on his/her behalf. Outside the door, I get my 2000 and he gets the bag. As for the credit card issue, we can pretend to be friends/sisters/spouses, etc. if this info were true.
I hope I am not giving away trade secrets
ETA: if there’s no bag, then they will be out 2000 but to some maybe it’s a small price to pay. But for sure, difficult for reseller to make profit.

No as i understood the appointment will be under my name thats what the personal shopper said.

I have used a personal shopper before, as far back as 2015. I paid her 1500 Euros and she got me an appointment first thing
10AM through the back door with no line (no appointment system back then just in-person line ups) and straight to the leather
department. I walked out 1 hour later with a B35. Also bought a watch and a throw and 2 belts. Similar spend to 1:1.
The service still exists but there are far fewer personal shoppers that have this connection now. Many have stopped offering
this service. Might I mention the 1500 euros comes with a personal chauffeur and black limo for 8 hours.

Heard about someone quite similar but it was around the 400€ peoples how selling they appointment.
Only for FSH they don’t check the ID just ask your name for the app and eventually the text message.

Back in the day it was also happening with the line system.

Wow, incredible. If true, this raises a million questions, my first being, who gets the fee and do the Hermes SA‘s (or Hermes employee) benefit from this fee as well. If so, this sounds fishy. Are they trading favors for money? Also, since there’s no guarantee that an appointment will get you your choice bag, does this mean one is out the 1-2K Euros if “there aren’t any bags in stock” that day?

Not sure but from my understanding a bag is guaranteed but it might not be your first choice or not a QB.

Earlier this year, I stayed at Crillon and asked them to get me an appointment. I was told they would request one, but there was also an option to pay $2K for a “special experience” and an appointment. When I further inquired what the special experience was, I was told a walk through the gardens or some other tour at FSH. It was made clear to me that a bag was not guaranteed during this appointment so if you leave empty-handed, then you’re just out $2K. This was before the hotel concierges stopped making FSH appointments several months ago.

Hello! Regarding the garden tour, I did it this year sans payment. My SA was kind enough to do the tour but there is someone who keeps the iPad to log the person. He also looked up my profile and commented seeing my purchases from a decade back.

My SA told me they look also how frequently one goes through Paris. I felt this was equally important for the tour- he mentioned there are a lot of people who drop $$$ but they ultimately but the management team decide can see the garden. The person with the iPad also said there’s a lot of rude people who insist- they are trying to limit that. But I did ask prior to my visit and I’m definitely not a big spender ( I do go about 2 times a year)

There is a section separately from the garden area where a small party can be entertained for breakfast or tea.

I’d love to learn if anyone got the garden tour by paying for it- sounds like Disneylands fast pass! Except instead of hyper kids and adequate food , there’s a bag at the end

I’ll be going back in a week +; will try to find out more. I’m being told I will hopefully get a top 3 wish list but I don’t know ‍♀️
