I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

No. And she cannot reschedule. She has to reapply. The concern you should have is not whether you can take her appt, but if you catch covid from her (even if you have a negative test) and infect others. That’s true even if you manage to get your own appt.

@iwanta30B , why not if you have the time and can get a eurostar. But, just be prepared bc getting an appt is not a guarantee you will get a bag
Thanks @880 !! I’ve been testing alongside her each morning but haven’t gotten it- I think because I had it about a month ago :)

Good luck then! @pinkfairyprincess, as per your query below, if there was a service, we would all subscribe. From your description of what you want, it would be a personal shopper or reseller, and if you could find someone willing, you would buy at a steep premium; and, then pay shipping, customs, state sales tax, and lose VAT. At that point, it’s best to either go reseller closer to home or local H boutique. JMO though and YMMV

I believe it's also not possible to buy online and return them to a physical store, unless in special cases like product defect, etc.
Just FYI, actually you can if you do the purchase in-store, i.e. have an SA order the online item for you to pick up in store. You pay when you place the order but by law since you did not see the item prior to purchase, you have 30 days to return it for a refund (not just exchange). Have done it before with no problems.

That is very true and I have done that also. But you will still be denied the tax refund. At least I was. The SA said that online is an entirely different entity and they could not do a tax back on an online product.

I ordered a scarf to be picked up at the store with a SA in July. She had told me that I could pick it up, they would then process a return and give me the detax. They did and it was very fast and easy.

After reading your experience, I'm frustrated. I'm travelling to London for 2 weeks in October and is going to apply for an appointment. If there is a lucky moment, that I've scored an appointment, I'll take the earliest EUROSTAR on the next day for the appointment. Is it a stupid thought?
This has been said by papertiger, but Eurostar may be sold out, although it may be less likely in October. It was sold out for me, so I had to take a flight both ways.

It's always worth trying to apply if you are open to going, but my main piece of advice is to not get your hopes up too much. I do think your luck may be higher at Sevres or FSH. If it happens, then it's wonderful! But if not, please enjoy Paris. Don't let a lack of B/K acquisition mar your entire day. Best of luck!!

I think if you are the happy go lucky type, then, it is a good idea.
But for my personal state of mind.....I got an appointment in the past which the SA was very rude...and she hardly even listened to my wish list and came back with 'no bags'. she did not even bother to try.
And in that appointment, I was also living in Paris and I thought it was a waste of time for me to walk 25 mins to that store LOL.
*******but I did get a super nice SA the appointment after and was offered the Kelly of my dream combination. So, it is hard to say. We all wish for the best result but I personally won't take a train just for the appointment. However, I would go if I am in Paris with my family for a trip. :-)
Just my personal opinion. Some SA just bug me so much....while some are sweet as candy, so, it really is based on who you meet.

I've been applying for exactly 7 days consecutively and haven't received an appt for the 3 stores. Has anyone been successful online recently and how many tries did it take?
It’s all luck based. Nothing to do with how many tries
I have a friend who got an appointment in April and then again in July while she was in Paris.. it’s a pure lottery system
Good luck

You can most definitely apply from home, you don't need to apply from mainland France. I have done it in the past, and last week a friend applied from Amsterdam. Perhaps there was some sort of glitch when you tried?!
Moreover, it is not accurate that you need to apply by 10.30.
I have no idea why the hostess would tell you otherwise.
Agreed. I just applied yesterday from Amsterdam and received a confirmation of submission (around 11am) and a denial promptly at 8:30pm.
