I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

I'm a little confused at to what is going on with your posts @camprip , I do not think anyone is attacking you or criticizing you but people are just sharing their own experiences with the system (just like you are!). @880 and others on this forum have been immensely helpful and never demeaning or attacking.

I think there is no way for us to know exactly how it works, which is probably what drives many of us to get frustrated. I'm going to Paris in a couple weeks and will try, but otherwise will just enjoy all my Hermes purchases and wait patiently for my bag here!

If you can apply from home, why don’t you attempt to do it now to see if it works. I just did before I made this post and it doesn’t work at all

This thread is turning into a conversation similar to what you find on next-door. What started out to be what I thought would be an informative post, has turned into me defending myself, and fielding comments how I got it wrong. I stand by my experience for the seven days I was in Paris, I stand by how the Hermès Rendevous page did not work for me outside of France, and I stand by the sales associate in Hermes explaining to me in detail how the system works. If you wa t to comment from your chair at home in the US, or secondhand from a friend in Amsterdam, you certainly have that right. I do ask you not to criticize what worked for me, what happened to me, and my sharing my experience. Perhaps start your own thread and how you think a purchase might go.
The issue is that you are "sharing your experience" as an absolute truth and it is completely contrary to hundreds of pages of experiences from other folks. Several people in this thread have successfully gotten FSH lottery appointments from their homes in neighboring countries (UK, Germany, Netherlands, even the USA, come to mind immediately). We also have had many experiences shared of people registering mid day and still getting an appointment. They collect all entries throughout the business hours of the store and then randomly select "winners" for appointments for the following day. If the SA told you all appointments are gone by 10:30, I would infer that to mean that all appointments for day X are already given out by 10:30 on day X which no one disputes. Please do share your experience but to aggressively imply that others' experiences are untrue and your experience is the only one that matters is odd, imo.

Would echo the experiences of others. I've been able to apply for appointments from Italy (on a Saturday, before making the journey to Paris on a Sunday).

I've also received the message of, "too many appointment requests today, try again tomorrow", in which, if you continue to try every few minutes, your request typically, eventually, will go through and be registered.

All this to say I've never actually received an appointment via the lottery, however, I have been able to get my requests in via the website, both before when SMS verification was required, and after.

It was not necessary for me to share which particular bag I was looking at. There isn’t even a place on the app to do so. The only choices you get are for the next day, and you can choose all of the stores in the Paris area or just one. Obviously it is beneficial to say you will go to any of the stores.
I think you mix up "online appointments" and "walk-in appointments".

Thanks @Fertmd101. Fingers crossed re your trip to Paris in a few weeks
From reading all the posts, many of us have been told different things about it all
doesnt mean any one experience is wrong :)

There is no journey. There is only appreciation.

Not only appreciation for the beautiful creations of the House, but appreciation for the hard working SAs who continue to stay at H bc they appreciate their position, the company, the brand, the products, the leadership, and the storied history.

I’ve been fortunate to have offers. I’ve also been fortunate enough to *not* have offers and taken the time to find other pieces in the store (jewelry, scarves, etc.) that catch my eye.

If this is the attitude one brings to an online forum, I genuinely hope this isn’t the same attitude brought to the store.
If it work different for you, congratulations. This thread is meant for us to help each other, not to contradict those that are making comments to be helpful. You must be in the country where you wish to make the purchase or the app does not work. It doesn’t even work on your iPad. At 10:30 in the morning the message that you get if you are denied is to try again another day. I had a lengthy conversation with an employee in Hermès who backs up everything that I wrote. Again this is not meant to discourage, this is meant to help those that want an appointment and are frustrated. If you had a different experience, try to share it in a helpful manner. Let’s be helpful with each other here.
I am gone said it again in the most political way but what you said is wrong. You don’t need to be in the country to apply or get an appointment. The same for the time it is a lottery system, the logiciel doesn’t select only peoples at 10h30.
I am sure all the peoples how get an appointment will confirm my version..

Unfortunately, you grossly over estimated her. The “surprise” was a visit to the rooftop garden. While I’m sure that’s a lovely experience, I would wager she’d have preferred your assumption of a special order. Ah, maybe next time!
What is more, this proves, at least for me, that Purse Karen did indeed lie to her readers about being "on [her] own". No one EVER gets a rooftop garden tour, especially with her abysmal spend, unless they are a vip, vic, connected or press. She clearly leveraged her ******** connection... It wasn't her smile!
And i don't care that she leverage her connections to ******** to get bags etc.; I care that she lied about 'being on her own'. I guess an article about getting 7(?) bags by leveraging a ******** connection would have gotten less clicks.

It is hard to trust the information when it has so much “Karen” all over it.
