I think the stock varies a lot from one week to an other.
I was there at Xmas time and there had nothing left especially because of Covid. Other people were told the same during the appointments.
The SA who helped me said that Hermès lowered production when Covid started as they had to close the stores for a while. They didn’t want to have bags sitting there and no buyers.
Then when they reopened they had tons of stock and people walked out with like 3 bags (but only 1 quota).
Then the stock went low.
The SA said that they are never been told what comes in until it arrives for safety reasons (not to get robbed!).
So sometimes there are bags and sometimes not. The best chance is to keep trying and go often I guess.
The appointment system is horrible but if you have tried unsuccessfully several times they may make an exception if you ask them and have history with them. Dress well, it helps.
This is what happened to me.
Got a Kelly 25 in August 21, then no stock in December on B or K. Got offered a Constance but it wasn’t real love. I got a Mosaique at Sevres later on (longer strap so better for me).
Mini K are the hardest to get.
Quota used to be a bag every 6 months but not sure if it’s 2 a year now and you can get them at once. I shopped with my profile and my husband.

Does anyone have experience at FSH getting two quota bags less than 6 months apart. For example, still only two bags in one year but 4 months apart rather than 6?

I did last year. Got one in march and one in June. My SA confirmed that it’s 2 per year and not 1 in each semester

Was in Paris last month for a week hoping to to get offered a quota bag. It was frustrating as it’s even harder to get an appointment.
Now my local SA even said DONT SPEND right now because there’s NO stock on quota bag. (my thoughts if I spend more on baits SM will give it to me - but not the case AT THE MOMENT)
Gotta to let go of the quota bag obsession at the moment until inventory is back to normal.

The QBs seemed to be pre-assigned to loyal clients now (except in Paris..but then Paris has local clients who drop lots of money too, so you still have to compete with them for highly coveted items!).....even before they reach the stores. That said, it totally makes sense to establish a relationship locally and be loyal. Also, when I asked my SA for a QB (which she was able to get me a couple of months later), she said: "You just don't know what I went thru to get that bag for you!" Because the supply is not as many as before, I could imagine that this may cause stress amongst SAs too. What can they sell if supply is limited to meet their quotas..also why will clients buy if they know that even if they spend a lot they might not be "rewarded" with a QB offer?!

Hello all! Wanted to stop by and give some updates. Previous posts had mentioned hotel concierges being able to secure handbag appts through their own contacts, and I had asked a few in the past and was told no, but I could have been asking the wrong hotels at that time lol. But I did have one tell me they can request an appointment but spots are often limited and not all requests are granted, and he had tried to request one for me through his intel but was not successful.

Anyway. I can confirm that Concierges at certain hotels did have the ability to try and secure appts outside of the online system. But as of recently, they are no longer able to do so due to the the rise in demand. I confirmed this amongst some hotels including the ones previously mentioned in this thread. I was in Paris just 2 weeks ago on an extended layover back from Asia so this seems to be the current situation. I know several people had reached out to hotel concierges so wanted to bring it up and see if anyone else had heard similar.

It is possible, but it really comes down to luck! It’s a lot harder now due to the new system in place but I met my SA (in Paris) few years back when I was still living in Canada. Although it was a slow start, we have a great relationship now and I have placed two SOs with him since. If you live in Europe and is just one train ride away/was lucky to found a SA that you clicked with, just let them know every time you are in Paris and drop by to pickup something small. No need to stress about it too much!

I have very specific items on my list. and I have rejected some times others might love. So, was thinking SO might be the only chance to get my dream bag (not too rare quota bag, I just like certain colors with certain hardware....I even rejected an etoupe with PHW..when I know I will regret it if someday an etoupe with GHW shows up....).

Oh, I just noticed what I was asking hee hee.
so, SO means a special order bag already made at the store? and not a special order we as customers can specify what color and hardware?
Either way, a SO with multi colors would be dreamy even if it is not our own SO but someone else's which they did not end up purchasing.
I kept getting 'no' for an answer this year....compare to last year when I had special connection with SA...so, almost make me want to give up and get other brands... There is simply too few items available, even when I asked for a leather bracelet in LIME yesterday...the SA told me they only have 1 in that style (black)...how would a flagship store only have 1 leather bracelet in that popular style????? so low stock.


Is your friend's SO already made? or she could place a SO in that store? so curious
