Thanks for the heads-up on the usage of physical card. Guess it will be safer to bring it along for the trip.

I've heard of horror stories of people not getting their VAT refund back in their card even after months of waiting, hence was wondering if I should go for cash refund instead even though it's of lower % compared to card. Shall decide after totaling all the spending before going to the airport.
It’s unlikely you’ll have to wait long for the VAT refund in this day and age since they installed the PABLO kiosks. It’s all electronic and very quick. I’m not sure if Hermes and Chanel have some sort of agreement with Planet and Global Blue but I always get my VAT refund back from them in one week. They have decently responsive customer service at Global Blue too. However, when I buy from Mango or Zara, it can take weeks to get that refund back. I’ve been going back to Paris every year for 12 years and no issues on any of the printed barcode forms. I only have issues when it’s one of those hand-filled forms requiring a stamp at customs and then it’s a tossup if you get your money back.

I’ve been here in Paris for 3 days and still no online appointment. No walk-in appointments available at the 3 Paris stores. SA said that no guarantee of quota bag due to low inventory now. The stores don’t seem too busy, but they are still strict with the online only appts. Still have a couple days left…
I really hope you can score an appointment, I've heard you have to be really really lucky to get one online. Can I just ask, if you don't have an online appointment, are you still able to walk-in and ask for any other bags other than the b/k/c? I know it really depends on the individual SA you get paired with but I've heard many times it's not absolutely impossible to walk away with a quota bag even if you don't have an appointment. Perhaps that was in the past...?

When I was paying for a non bag purchase at FSH I overheard the SA at the leather desk tell someone there were no bkc’s that day. I was interested in a Picotin 18 so I asked were there any cancellations I can have since they had no bkc’s to offer. They asked for my info and brought me upstairs to have a seat. An SA came about 30 mins later. They had no Picotin 18s to offer but I got to have the experience and that alone was fun for me.

Hello All,

I was in Paris over this past weekend celebrating my husband’s birthday. I have 2 separate experiences to share with Hermes visits. I will do 2 separate post, so let’s get started with 1 of 2.

Fortunately I was able to secure an appointment at FSH. It was on Friday in the morning. I had my wishlist ready to go! I arrived on time for my appointment and was taken off to the side to wait on a Leather Associate. She arrived within 5 minutes. She was very nice, but straight to the point. She asked for my Wishlist and I gave her 3 items in the following order: K25 Retourne “true green” as in Bambou or Menthe with Gold Hardware, K25 Retourne Noir with Gold Hardware, or B30 Gold on Gold.

She stated that stock was very low, however she would check - she then asked my husband and I what we would like to drink?

From there, my nerves started revving up a little, wondering if I would be offered anything. While waiting, I just walked around and looked at the jewelry and display bags, trying to keep my mind busy.

About 20 minutes later, she came back with 1 box and clearly stated “I was only able to find and locate you 1 item today - I hope you like it!”

From there, she proceeded to open the box, while I am holding my breath to see what it is, she then pulls out a beautiful green K25 Touch. I was speechless and in Awe! I loved the color and the touch added that additional hint of personality to the bag. I was excited and nervous the same time. I inquired about color, which was Menthe with Permabrass Hardware and Lizard Touch. Very beautiful bag - now the next thing was the price, as I had not researched the price of “touch bags” in Paris - so was a little nervous on what that was going to come back as - but once she said price, it wasn’t as bad as I thought!

I proceeded to look at the bag, while smiling ear to ear and politely said I would take it!

I then inquired about other bags, in which she was very nice and patient with me. Since where I live in the US, I don’t have access to a local Hermes, so I was very inquisitive to see other bags. I requested to see an Evelyne TPM, Gata, In the Loop and Constance To Go Wallet.

From those request, I was able to see all but the Constance to go. I did add an Evelyne TPM Barenia Fauborg with Gold Hardware to my purchase .

I liked the Gata and was super cute, but passed as my next request will be a Constance. I would consider the Gata a casual version of the Constance. The in the loop was cute, but I was not comfortable that it was secure enough around my waist. There were multiple color options for both Gata and In the loop.

From there, I wanted to see shoes, however I am a 39 and most were sold out. I was primarily looking for Orans and Tennis Shoes. Unfortunately, I was not able to purchase any shoes due to low stock.

Overall, the visit was very positive. A few observations - the store did not seem to be as crowded as it was prior to pandemic. The main 2 areas that were busy were shoes and the main floor by SLG’s and appointment request. The team seemed to be very firm on no walk-in leather appointments and there were continuous request while I was there!

I am super excited about my new K25 and hope you enjoy the H journey story

This is my last day in Paris. Been here for 4 days and could not make an online appointment.
Yes, the team seemed to be very very firm on no walk-in leather appointments. No Luck this trip.
My SA was able to get me an appointment for a non-quota bag so I was able to get an Evelyne mini blue France

It seems very difficult now. I visited all 3 boutiques every day to ask for walk in appt. My SA said the supply hasn’t caught up with the demand.

My SA was able to get me an appointment, tho she said only for a non-quota bag so I was able to get an Evelyne mini blue France.

I suggest being persistent but don’t expect that you will 100% get a quota bag.

Oh that is so frustrating but considering the times we live in, it is understandable regarding the supply issues

I was extremely disappointed at Paris Hermes. My back up option was Chanel and Rolex so at least I am still going home happy with my purchases.
I can only imagine :( it seems now even for those who managed to get an appointment, there's still a good possibility they won't be offered a bkc nowadays. Good to hear at least Chanel and Rolex weren't as disappointing!

Will be arriving today and did not get an appointment. I still plan to go to the boutiques to check them out because I haven't been in person before! Such a bummer that there's low stock now was hoping it'll be better since it's after Paris fashion week.

I have been in Paris for 3 days and no luck with leather appointments. I did go to FSH and buy a scarf and shawl and the SA herself went to ask if they would take a walk-in appointment, but they said no. I tried again at a different store and while browsing the small leather goods, the SA asked if I’d come for anything else. I said I’d been trying to get a leather appointment for a non-quota bag and he was kind enough to ask what bag and went to see if they had it in stock. He came back a little while later and said they didn’t have any that day. In general, stock seems to be very low at all the stores across the board: no shoes in my size in any shade of the Legend, tiny selection of small leather goods and leather accessories. I didn’t see anyone leaving with big bags. The online offering is far better at the moment, imho.

@Eternity1908 , congrats on your beautiful touch kelly  I am so happy for you!

Hope moderators don’t think it’s inappropriate to post this here as I do want to be near FSH Hermes and would love to hear from Hermes shoppers who frequent Paris.. if you had to choose between these hotels, which would you prefer to stay at? Le bristol, park hyatt, or le meurice.

Bristol. +1 with @olibelli re concierge there

ive heard wonderful things about cheval blanc

i personally adore the Bulgari hotel (and, ducking head for cover, I prefer the more relaxed Italian style service to french lol)

I believe the Eurostar Pablo machine processed my K25 purchase, but I had another issue so the customs official helped me. He did not ask to see anything

Hello all, thanks for updating. Hope it’s just fashion week and everything is low in stock. I’ll be spending 5 days in Paris in May, hope I’ll be lucky enough to get an appointment!

Just wondering, do they look at purchase history online?

And I heard that the FSH store has linked to other country’s purchase record?
