I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

DH and I were fortunate to get an appt today. My NY SA was on the phone too (for moral support) bc I was nervous. I did ask for a shadow or cargo which they did not have for me. Nor did they have an ostrich B 25.

But I explained that I would like a dark neutral K/ B 25, leaning towards blue gray (not etain). I specifically mentioned some colors that I love like graphite, bleu abysse and bleu obscure. FSH SA picked this for me (she said) based on my style (I was dressed in dark neutrals).

Am thrilled with 25 Kelly sellier II, blue orage epsom, GHW. FSH SA said it’s sometimes hard for them to figure out what clients want, and they have to go on visual cues or hints like what the clients are wearing.

Although I am not typically a GHW person, DH, SA and I felt it was perfect for this bag. Everyone at FSH was very nice and welcoming, and I am going back tomorrow to look at some RTW (SA said she needed some time to source sizes) Good luck to everyone this week!

So glad you've had a fun experience at FSH, @880! Your new bag looks to be a perfect match for what you hoped for. Lovely combination of size, color and hardware! And, your RTW choices look lovely on you. I especially love the small graphic (B/W?) dress!! I'm vicariously enjoying your visit.

Hi dear congrats on your new K25. If you don’t mind me asking. Did you apply for an appointment from the website or did you walk in and ask for leather appt since you purchased a lot of RTW? Can you please share how you got the appointment leading to K25? Going there in few months

it’s basically up to luck and good fortune as per @acrowcounted and others on the thread. i actually don’t buy enough RTW to walk in and ask. I had never been to FSH before the appointment, and I bought only three pieces of RTW (relatively well priced compared to chanel or dior) the day afterwards (And that was at the suggestion of the SA bc she didn’t have time to pull my sizes)

However, someone once told me that if you literally Buy a saddle, you can get anything you want, but of course, I don’t know this first hand.

good luck on your trip!

here are pics of the FSH windows if anyone is interested (apologies for the reflections). I recall that the exotic saddle was a shade of light purple/mauve?
(I also noticed a white shadow Birkin, a few black and sesame cargos, a toile Berlin? Kelly and a leather toile body kelly, and a leather toile 3 in one, i think most had for display only signs).

The real Hermes “game”, especially for new comers to the brand imo, is getting what you want from the brand while spending the least possible on other items. I’m super happy for you that you got so many things that you love and were treated well but I do think it’s a bit naive to believe that your home SA isn’t at least a tiny bit miffed to not receive those RTW commissions. It’s her livelihood and career afterall.
Bravo
I love what you said here.

one of my favorite Parisian bloggers posted from the faubourg st Honore store they had pink Birkins on display in the shop!!! couldn't believe to see them out on display for sale. she posted that today (2/16/22).
oh yes, plenty of Pink quota bags on display (I was there yesterday), including a pink Constance which I love. All of them do have 'display only, not for sale' sign though...so, maybe some VIPs can ask for them? hee hee.

“I bought a lipstick, have you got a BKC to put around it?” would be the ultimate opener… except they now have that little pink vanity bag and the three-in-one with lipstick holder

I ultimately think that SAs, especially the French ones, can smell the “only wants a quota bag” a mile off and will milk for every penny. That’s IMO why we see so many members recently who feel like they were let down or lied to. Expecting the Paris stores, especially FSH, to be your magic bullet is a (potentially costly) mistake.

I ended up with three new dresses (the RTW selection is fantastic and larger than NY)

I like them on you. I think I have to visit my home boutique or Paris
I also like the length of dresses on you, neither long ( grandma's style) nor short and this length is just a twist in someone's outfit.

I am happy that you enjoyed your shopping at the FSH boutique and had a great experience with the SA. They say Paris has become kinder during the pandemic.
Enjoy!!!!

want to start a relationship with an FSH SA want to do so to get quota bags regularly with little to no other spending

in line with above quotes and with the thread posts of experienced FSH shoppers (I am obviously not one), agree no long term SA relationship can be built with someone who only spends ‘just enough’ or only wants a quota BKC. If you want an FSH relationship, buy judiciously and only what you are truly enthusiastic about. (FSH has things I have not seen at home). Be open to new things the SA shows you that you would not have known to ask for (but that is true in my home boutique too)

eta: one last thing: I may sound indecisive on the thread (bc I explain my thought process) but IRL I make up my mind very quickly with little drama (even with the K25). after I examine the item, if I decide to purchase, I never return anything. My NY SA was on standby for moral support, but the conversation took less than two minutes (thumbs up).

choosing RTW out of the FSH SA curation the next day took max 20 minutes, (she knew from two sentences and observing what I wear that I only want dark neutrals), including time to try everything on, bc we were on our way to lunch with a friend. Of course, take your time if that is your method, but I don’t want to waste anyone’s time, including my own. especially in Paris lol. The majority of time is usually to enable the SA to find product or other sizes.

Hello! I will be heading to Paris the first week of June. Are there any big events that would make this particular week busier than normal? Would love to try my luck at a Hermes in Paris this once. Thank you so much!
