I was very lucky this time in Paris! I speak good French and have a decent multi-year profile in Paris. I'm not a whale nor a local, so I don't know how strong my profile/relationship with my SA is.

I got a lottery appt at FSH after 5 tries and got a mini lindy. SA said no b/k. I saw someone being offered picotin 18 and mini bolide. No CTG/KTG. Even low on twilly stock! Only 1 rodeo in stock. Almost no selection for popular homeware. The 4 times I went to FSH and walked around, I didn't see anyone being taken into changing rooms for bkc.

I also had a prescheduled appt at Sevres with an SA I have purchased b/k multiple times before and got a K25. It's been 2+ years since my last offer (no b/k the last time I visited Paris), which I assume contributed to my luck this time. I purchased other items after with my SA but none of the other items I initially asked for were available. While waiting, I saw people being taken into changing rooms, but many walked out with non-bkc boxes (a paper hangs out of the box with the item name). I honestly had very low expectations after my FSH appt for b/k since Sevres still usually has less stock, so I felt very lucky!

My friend was rejected 13 times and never got an appt or cancellation in-stores (tried twice) - also hasn't bought anything before except for something small from this trip. This seems to be the case for most people currently, especially for those shopping in Paris for the first time. I was surprised since based on my past experience, people who apply for the same number of days get an appt on the same day; but I got my appointment much earlier. As echoed in the earlier posts from other members, December this year is not the best time for bags. The stores were so busy and poorly stocked. I saw a lot of upset people being turned away from cancellation requests.

If you're already in Paris, the holiday room in FSH is very fun! They have cocktails, a photo opp, and you can DJ your own Christmas music. They also have other holiday programming in-store - at Sevres they had this ornament making station with leftover leather and scarves. Sevres also has a beautiful display case with a diamond himalayan birkin, a shadow birkin, among other beautiful craftsmanship. The stores are also beautifully decorated - esp the silly snowmen!

I am so irritated of all these reports of being turned away and no bags to purchase in Paris. Cannot second that at all. Unless you are in for a B or K not a big deal just to buy one ... or two ... or even more. The only thing I can agree to it's hard to get an appointment as I didn't get one, too, but why I need one if I can just walk in?

@Ruedubac, what were some of the rare SLGs you got? ;)
hee hee, thanks for asking, Baglove111,
Most of them are actually gifts for my sisters (whom also check this site). So, I will post the list right after they open their Christmas gifts to keep them surprised on Christmas day.
But I can say that moving here from North America, those were not something the North American SAs would offer me unless I spend a gigantic amount in North America hee hee. So, I've been spoiled. Thank you H-fairies. So, I have not decided which items to give my sisters yet...as I don't want to be too greedy and keep too many but simply too many rare items in October (that was a good month with 8 rare SLG items...then November, nothing in the specific colors I was looking for. December not even 1 item I was looking for due to lack of stock).

Have a nice day, I will post all the items including photos on Christmas day.

Btw forgot to mention that they offered me a bag with *very* special and rare leather (sry cannot remember its name). Didn't take it because of the color which my SA simply couldn't understand because of this opportunity. So if you are friendly, polite and likable there's plenty of possibilities in Paris.

I have an update from a friend of mine who is currently in paris. She applied for an appointment for more than 15 times and went to the 3 stores for about 7/8 times but nothing. She went yesterday and told them that its too hard for everyone and that she is very disappointed in the brand and all of a sudden they told her ok we can help. She was offered 2 mini lindy’s but could only purchase one, one in anemone and one in blue pale. She bought the anemone, no BKC or anything from the K family.

That is really lucky for your friend. Did she mention which store it was?

Wow, finally she / he made it. Congrats  Anemone is such a beautiful color. Got one in Paris last week, too. :flowers:

Still cannot understand what went wrong with her / him. I haven't been turned away a single time of my 4 attempts and always got 2-6 bags to chose from (no B or K, though).

Btw the brown one is this special type of leather I mentioned earlier.

Store entrances: Anyone have a clue when the side entrance is allowed to chose? Walked in once without any issues, the next day I was asked to line up at the main one.

p.s. In contrast to what people wrote here I do not see any huge difference which entrance to chose rather than less people waiting there. Maybe the front one is the revolving door

Are you at the PAris boutiques? I don’t recall any revolving doors at the 3 stores and I just came back.
