Can you or someone share how “stock” works in Paris? Do they have an atelier attached to FSH where they can supply the goods more readily? Somehow I thought I had read that before but then I read another article on LinkedIn that says they have 51 ateliers in France and just opened a new one specializing in bags like Birkins/Kellys near Bordeaux. Do they truck them into the French stores on a daily basis?
I heard that they have deliveries every day, therefore they cannot know what will be in stock the day after

It seems that they do restock some things often: I was in Sevres on Saturday and they did not have a scarf that I wanted to see. However, when I went on Monday for something else, the SA asked if I was looking for anything else and I replied that I was but that they did not have it, she looked at the inventory and said they did have the scarf. So…restock of some items for sure.

Sorry to ask this as I am sure it's been covered and I just can't find it, but...I will be in Paris in March and want to just get some RTW and accessories. Do I have to make an appointment for non-leather purchases or can I walk in? Thank you in advance!

I wonder if any French folks in the same scenario could help me with this question. My hubby is a French citizen and US green card holder. Would he be able to claim a VAT refund on retail purchases? It would be great if he could shop for me when he’s back home.

Yes, he can. Customs may just request evidence of his residence abroad (i.e. US green card).

Ducked into FSH today on a mission for some silks and shawls that I could not find stateside. While I was trying on silk, my DH went up to the leather concierge to ask if there were any cancellations…there were not. He played dumb and said that his wife wanted a purse. They looked me up (apparently, according to an SA at the Sevres store, they can now see international records) and asked how long we were staying…a few more weeks…we have an appointment on Saturday!!!

Would international records mean also online purchases internationally?

No idea tbh. I just know that when I was at the Sevres store on Saturday my SA asked if I had an account. I replied that I had purchased a shawl five years ago but that was it. She looked me up and had all my contact info and said the accounts/records were international.

So purchases made in other countries (non-EU) can be seen too? I thought they could only see purchases made in France.

Got my appointment at Sevres after 6 failed attempts.
I arrived and was asked to sit on one of those couches on the side to wait. I have no purchase history, so when the SA came, she registered me and asked what I wanted, and after just a couple minutes told me they had nothing in stock.
(Maybe I never had a chance? Because I saw other guests before me being led to those display tables before being asked what they wanted, if they'd like a drink, etc.)
The SA said they will have no bag shipment for the rest of the month, and that I should not even bother making appointments until October...I purchased a belt and left...(Hoping at least my purchase history is not blank!?)

SAs tend to say that and most of the time, the statement "they had nothing in stock" is so NOT TRUE. I remember my very first time in FSH while being attended to by an SA, I overheard clients behind me being told by SAs "there is no birkin or kelly", "no shipment", "try going back next week", "you already purchased a garden party, you cannot buy anymore bags" etc. When literally my SA back then just offered me a birkin, jige, herbag and evelyne and just the day before I purchased a garden party. So moral of the story, do not believe everything they say.

Thank you for giving me hope!
(I also ordered an Avalon throw with the SA, not sure it will show up in my history..) I am going to try making appointments at FSH just to try my luck :)
