@Muffin_Top I agree with you that Paris‘ Hermes SA are snobby and I always feel like they’re staring at clients. I’ve had the worst service at Sevres.
Walked in with a birkin, Oran Sandals spent like 10 min browsing the new renovated store and I never had a « bonjour or est ce que je peux vous aider ? »
It was only when I walked out that an SA asked if I was looking for something.

FSH is always busy, SA are welcoming you at the entrance (perhaps to check if you have a leather appointment) and I’m lucky to have my personal SA, so always had good service.

How does one make an appointment(s) at FSH? (I promise, I regularly read this thread and I’m not asking out of laziness but I’m still lost!)
Do you walk by and ask? Call in? Register online? I’d love to plan for my next trip to Paris

It's not that hard to find a website or youtube video that will explain this process concisely! I'd advise you to look at those as well. This is subject to change over time, as with the recent addition of the "Favorite Store" dropdown, and the changing appointment time link that didn't exist a couple of years ago:

1. On your smartphone only, go to this website: https://rendezvousparis.hermes.com/client/register.
2. You must register between 10:30 am and 6:30 pm (GMT+2 Paris time) the day before for the next day's appointment. Since stores are closed on Sunday, on Saturday you register for Monday. Outside of these times, the website will be closed to new registrations. It does not matter what time of day you sign up, since this is a luck-based lottery system.
3. While signing up, it will ask you for an activation code via SMS. Supposedly they are having issues with certain foreign numbers (ie. US number). In that case, you may need to contact customer service, or like some past posts have suggested, go into the store physically to get that activation number.
3. At around 7:30 pm, you will get an email with your result. You should also receive a text message to that phone number with the same response.
4. The request is tied with your phone number, email, and passport.
5. If your appointment is confirmed, they will give you a client code link, something like https://www.hermesfaubourg.com/client/XXXXXX
6. The time of which your appointment is set changes slightly - it can be an hour earlier or later in my experience.
7. The email stipulates that the person at the appointment must be the same person who registered, and they use the passport to verify identity.
8. When you arrive, you will check in at a podium. Every location has a different check-in place that is subject to change, so explain to someone you have an appointment. There will be several other people there with you for the same appointment time.
9. You will get matched to a sales associate, who will bring you to some part of the store with seating. They'll look up your profile and ask you some questions about what you're looking for.

This is the only way to purchase any bags, including non-B/K bags. You may be lucky if you are browsing around (without an appointment) and have purchased other goods that an SA might offer you something else. But it is highly unlikely.

If you try to call in or walk by and ask, they most likely will hand you a card to this website explaining this process. Sometimes if you are lucky and you go in the afternoon they may have cancellations and will be able to assist you. But I think that has been less likely due to growing demand.

Do you still have to queue up early morning to get an appointment at Sèvres and George V? Or is the procedure to secure an appointment now online like FSH?

Everything is online. They're not doing the morning queue at the other stores anymore. Same instructions apply as above.

I do have a question on the person who gets an appointment. If I register with my passport, and my mother and my sister, and one of them gets an appointment but I don't, will they need to make the purchase (if offered) with their passport and credit card?

Or, would they have to check in, but then I could "take over" so to speak and make the purchase.

Apparently it is ideal that the person who gets an online appointment attends personally and pays with passport and credit card which all matches up. They can be rather strict now.

This is the same for anyone - whether it's a husband, friend, family member or acquaintance.

For example, if your sister got the appointment, your sister would need to be present for the entire appointment - check-in, choosing a bag, payment. She needs to be the one paying on her credit card (unless you pay with cash, but I don't think they allow for a cash payment that large). You can certainly be the one driving the appointment, and you can even make it clear that the bag is for you. But in order to pay for the bag, it needs to be your sister, since it's under her name and passport for the appointment. It's just so people don't abuse the system. I don't think most SA's will object to this or give you a hard time, but it is possible. But this is pretty normal for couples to do. Note: the purchase will be tied to your sister's account and her purchase history, not yours.

in France for tourist it’s up to 10000€ but they will do a copy of your passport/ID.

Thanks so much for this. I have used the online method for FSH previously. With the other stores now following the same online method, can you request appointments for each store in the same day, or can you only select one store to try for an appointment each day?

The latter; when you apply for an appointment you will select the store you wish to apply for. You cannot repeat the process for the other stores for the same day, but you can choose a different store on different days if you want to.
