I mean, that’s just not true, especially at FSH where they will sell B/Ks to people with leather appointments regardless of any other H spending. Sure, a known name or connections might help get rules bent in your favor but there are still rules/quotas/general practices relevant for the vast majority of us...

I lacked context, apologies. I was referring to the likes of Tamara who regularly do intensive five-figure shopping excursions. For the rest of us, it is luck (i.e. mood of SA on any given day you walk in to enquire) - not rules per se with the exception of FSH where they are likely indeed instructed to hold us plebs at bay

I was just mentionning Tamara's story because someone said that they went to George V store and got a birkin and asked if they could still apply for an appointment at fsh and get another birkin or kelly and someone said no to them, that it was the 6 months rules. I think in Tamara's case it's not really the spending because she doesn't really buy that much hermes, at least in her hauls, other than maybe a couple of oran sandals, I haven't seen her unbox many things from Hermès. And she did mention that she went to the other stores in Paris and they told her they had nothing. So i guess it does help to have a fan working at fsh lol!

I don't think it's true about the one quota bag per 6 months because Tamara Kalinic when to FSH right before the shutdown of the stores and was offered a birkin 30 and a rare constance in suede. She took both. That was early march. She went back in june after the stores reopened and she was offered another constance in étoupe and a mini kelly in black. She took both. It could be that the SA was a fan of hers which is why she got those 4 bags in 3 months. I don't know the rules but I remember people saying that you could get 2 quota bags anytime during the year, not one per 6 months, at least in France. You can see her unboxing her 4 bags on her youtube channel.

If you're Tamara Kalinic, then the rules don't apply. If you're a normal person, they probably do.

I was lucky to get an apointement in FSH at the second try! Fantastic!
It was my first time there. Beautiful with so many eye candy
I met a nice SA who directed me at the first floor in a separated room.
She asked for my wishlist and I told her that I got a B 25 in Sevres, as she could anyway see that on my profile.
She explained that no quota bag was possible then for me cause i need to wait 5/6 months in between. ( i am not famous... yet )
So I kindly ask for a Kelly pochette ( she said it was not possible...)
Asked for a constance 18, a pico 22 or mini lindly in neutral colors.
After about 15 mn she came back with 3 boxes and told me there was no stock for constance 18 or 24. But she brought a beautiful constance to go in ostrich in a beautiful green ( Pass not yet into ostrich.)
A pico 22 in black clemence with gold hardware, a pico 18 black with palladium for me to compare the size. A so black rodeo pm and the oran charm all gold.
I picked the pico 22 with goldhardware and the so black rodeo!
I told her I wanted a colorfull rodeo pm, she went and came back with a rose pourpre, celeste and ?? Rodeo pm.

It was a wonderfull experience. She was very nice and patiente. She offered some water and when we finished, she said I could take my time in the boutique just to enjoy.
I went to the scarves section and picked two twillies.

My SA is wonderfull and got me two quota bags in about 4 months. As I was coming to Paris, I used the opportunity to get another quota bag.
Now I wonder if this might affect our relationship and If I should explain cause I hope it does not have any negative impact..

Thanks for the info! I remember people saying not that long ago before the pandemic that they had changed the quota bag thing from 1 bag per half year to 2 bags no matter when during the year. I guess they went back to 1 per half year except for big spenders and influencers.

In my opinion, there is no benefit to disclosing your Paris purchases to your Home SA. Though there would likely be none, why even ask for the possibility of trouble?

It’s up to you if you want to disclose what you got Paris. My SA always tells me to buy anything that catches my eye on my trips. Reasoning is FSH usually has more stock for hard to find items and plus it’s cheaper. Once I come back from my trip I let my SA know what I found and we cross that item off my wish list.

Hi Dear & Congrats on your successful Hermes trip
- I would NEVER disclose my hermes purchases with my SA upon scoring any H bags abroad - NEVER
- As far as I'm aware, H database is domestic and they cant track your international purchases (the case might differ between countries though)

I wrote a similar ask in a different thread...

I was on a waitlist for a B35 with my current SA. I was never planning on bringing the B35 that I had bought from a reseller (shortly after being put in waitlist) in to the H boutique when meeting with him, but rather I would change to the last H bag that he sold to me if I went into the boutique.

Due to circumstances (long story), I took my preloved B into the boutique. Most people on tPF advised against it, but I figured this is who I am, I happened to be showing the bag to someone that day in the area of my boutique, and I love Birkins.

SA was fantastic about it, I feel like he knows me better now and we adjusted my waitlist preference to a B30 as my second B. Depends on the SA, but it felt more honest to me. Why I hide that I like their bags? SA will get my second B purchase and we will both be happy.

Personally I would tell my SA if I brought something at FSH-i know he'd be grateful I told him and could amend my wishlist accordingly.
Speaking from my side (as someone who works in luxury retail) I really appreciate it when my client has put an item on my radar for her wishlist and then messages me to say 'I found it on net a porter' as then it saves me calling her, putting the item on hold etc etc and someone else losing that sale whilst I am awaiting her response.

From what I have seen, the passport is to check your detail for the appointement.
Your purchase are recorded on your profile : name and adress.
my conclusion is it does not matter if you use another passeport, your profile will be the same. So you are still subject to the same quota. Unless you have a differrent name.
Hope this help.
But even if you already got your quota bag 1 month ago only, it does not hurt to try, it all depends on the situation. You never know. Good luck.
