I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

No, not at all. The SAs, at least here in Paris, do not care if you have an Hermès bag on you. It is not a factor in getting a quota bag. When I got my first B35 in étain with PHW, I had no previous purchase history with Hermès and was not carrying a purse.

I was also told by a friend that if they ask to look up your client purchase history, it has nothing to do with how much you've already spent as opposed to whether you've already, recently in the past month or so, purchased a quota bag. The general rule seems to be 2 per year, but this also can depend on the seniority of the SA (and whether they're willing to look the other way; I believe this really has more to do whether you are a reseller or not.)
Yes, please remember to accessorize appropriately when you're out and visiting in the city! No need to attract unwanted attention in the métro.
If you plan on visiting the city after a purchase, do remember to ask for a white bag in which your orange one can be placed in. This is almost always done for a local, even without requesting it. But it's not systematically done for visitors.
Thanks for the suggestion to ask for a white bag. Didn't realize it was an option. While I was [happily] lugging around a big ole orange bag, I saw a guy look at it and kinda chuckle, but in a nice way. All the same, it's a distraction to lug a big orange bag around Paris.

Or you can have it delivered to your hotel. This is what I always do.

Hi everyone. I’ve been trying to get an appointment at fsh and it’s honestly frustrating. So far I have had a total of 5 rejections (3 myself & 2 my dad). I only have till friday to try. Any tips ladies? If I show the hostess at fsh that I’ve been trying, would they allow me to see an SA?

I’m staying close to Hermes George V. I lined up once and met a nice SA but they had no delivery on Saturday. Do I still need to line up every morning to ask for the bag or can I come a little later?

Because the 30-40% decrease in mass market tourism is not the same demographic that shops Hermès. Simple as that.

This is what I thought, but even my friends in the Philippines canceled their upcoming Paris trip because of the outbreak. They do not feel comfortable traveling and are definitely H customers.

Yes. A lot of my friends and colleagues in Asia don’t want to travel right now because they don’t necessarily know if the country of destination would quarantine them or not. They see planes as labs so won’t travel internationally. I really hope they do contain this virus, world-wide. There’s some genuine fears but overreactions as well.

Yes, you would have to line up every morning, unless you arrange an appointment with a SA for the following day. They are not very willing to do so if you are not a local, but it never hurts to try.

Women's RTW Fashion Week has just started in Paris and it is notoriously difficult to get an appointment during this time.

Did anyone else cancel their flight in May to Paris? Scheduled this trip for only Hermes and now I'm hesitant in flying over there due to Italy's outbreak. France has no intentions on closing their border due to the coronavirus.

Hi there - I’m actually supposed to fly to Paris next week and we’re struggling with the same issue. I think we will still end up going but we’re definitely concerned.

Has anyone here cancelled their trips or recently visited Paris?

Oh please keep me updated about your trip!

UPDATE: We’ve decided to postpone our trip as well. We’re worried about the racism as well as the spread of the virus. We’re Asians from the US and don’t want to subject ourselves to unnecessary risks related to racism / coronavirus. [emoji24]

We’re hoping to reschedule to the fall.

Girl I'm asian too in the U.S. and the racism has been unreal. I will reschedule my flight as well, thank you so much for the update and stay safe!
