Apologies for the long wait as I was in serious recovery mode post Paris LOL!

Here is my trip recap: Paris dates 11/12-11/15 (4 days/3 nights)

2 weeks prior to my trip I emailed the jewelry SA that helped me during my last time at FSH (back in June), with a list of non-leather goodies I was interested in seeing. The SA was very kind and was able to reserve all of the goodies and made store transfers for items that were not in stock.

Fast forward to 11/8 I applied online for a dummy Saturday 11/9 appt and was rejected, which I thought was fine to have one out of the way. On 11/9 I applied online this time for Tuesday 11/12 (first real day in Paris), due to Monday 11/11 being a public holiday (armistice day). I was rejected once again, but wasn't too fazed knowing the inventory might not be great being right after a public holiday.

My flight landed in Paris on Tuesday 11/12 morning and of course I immediately signed up again online! I emailed the jewelry SA about my arrival and she asked me to see her at 2:30pm (this was not a leather appt but rather for her to clear up her schedule to expect me). The weather was freezing and it was pouring, when I arrived at FSH it was seriously hailing outside! The SA welcomed me warmly and brought out all of my requested goodies, all of which worked out perfectly! I was so glad to have given her a list of items prior to the trip. I then asked if there could be any open spots for a leather appt, she quickly asked the concierge for me and returned to say it wasn't possible but not to worry as there was no delivery that day (perhaps due to just coming out of a weekend and public holiday). Noting her day off was the next day (Weds 11/13) she urged me to keep trying online (I did), and if I was still unlucky, to return to her at 10:30am on Thurs 11/14.

Evening came and I was yet again rejected for Wednesday's appts.

Here are the goodies I picked up with the jewelry SA -

On the morning of Wednesday 11/13 I arrived at FSH at 11am to check with the concierge on any possible openings for an appt. By now I had 3 rejections and felt it was a pretty strong case to ask for one. The young hostess tending the kiosk had a stern attitude, quickly told me the day was full and I needed to try again online. I politely acknowledged and went on to select a silk scarf (Patisserie pattern in black), a behapi single tour bracelet (as a collar for my cat!), and a calvi card case (rose azalee epsom). I then ran into the leather SA that helped me back in June and she remembered me! She quickly took me to the concierge once again and requested for an appt for me; the same lady responded in French telling her to inform me that it normally takes 6-7 tries for an appt approval (they were not aware I understand some French). I acted very calm and told her not to worry and understood she must have the toughest job in the store. As soon as she heard it she told me to check back at 3:30pm, no guarantees but she would let me know for sure by then! I thanked her and the leather SA and went onto purchasing the goodies chosen.

At 3:30pm I duly returned to the concierge and I was granted an appt! The store was very hectic and crowded. I waited another 15 minutes in the area before a young asian SA approached me. She immediately asked how she could help me, I was straight to the point and asked for K25, K28, K32, B25 and B30 in neutrals or pinks, GHW preferred but PHW would be ok too. The SA was very sweet and soft spoken, and asked me what colors would I completely reject, I said orange and off she went! It took almost 30 minutes for her to return, but with a box! She took me up to the private room next to the home dept, and as she opened the box, she lamented there was no delivery and this was the best she could do - K32 in rouge de Coeur togo GHW. She was STUNNING, but sadly the color was just not for me. I have yet to own a K32 and upon seeing it I knew this size would be on my wishlist for the future. I took a quick mod shot before sending her back -

The kind SA tried hard to look through her iPhone, and informed me there were 2 more k32's in the back, both in Clemence and GHW in bleu du Nord and rose extreme. Sadly neither would work so I thanked her several times for being so honest with me and willing to help, and said I would sign up again in hopes to receive an appt the next day.

That evening I was yet again rejected an appt! To be continued...

I would have loved all three of those colors!

Final part of this Paris saga!

on the morning of Thursday 11/14 my friend from the Netherlands trained over to Paris to hang out for the day, as she was able to score an appt at 10:30am! Her train arrived at 9:30am at Gare du Nord and we met up in the front of FSH. We split as soon as we entered the store where she checked in with the concierge and I went up to the fine jewelry area for my jewelry SA. We planned to text each other with updates at our appts and find each other in the store after.

My friend's wishlist included b25, b30, c18 in black or neutral, GHW only, which pretty much was everything on my wishlist too lol. While nobody was having leather appts where I was sitting, my friend was surrounded by several appts and witnessed mini Lindy's being offered left and right! Her SA soon returned and took her to a more private area, and she was offered a C18 gold epsom with GHW which she said yes to! This all happened while my SA was still taking down notes. I thought to myself perhaps I was out of luck for a B or K as my friend was not offered one with a request that happened before mine.

Then my SA returned pretty quickly with a box, and from a distance I could tell it's a B25!!! Sure enough it was a B25 in etoupe togo with GHW, I was in shock and immediately said yes!

in addition to the bag I picked up a belt with croc buckle as my father-in-law's xmas present and silver loop earrings for my sister's upcoming birthday. I thanked my jewelry SA profusely before I left and promised to email her when I plan to visit Paris again.

A few thoughts after this productive Paris trip -

- it's a good idea to keep visiting the store and check in with the concierge despite constant online appt rejections, even better if an SA requests for one on your behalf
- I find that it's easier to engage an SA to help request for an appt for you when you shop for other items on your wishlist
- Being able to build a relationship with an SA over several trips by consciously asking for her at the store or by email (usually non leather SA's give out business cards with direct emails), is crucial to get help negotiate for an appt or better yet have that SA work the leather appt with you
- an earlier appt does not guarantee you will get offered a more desirable bag, I truly believe profile spend/diversity is still a deciding factor in the end, should there be multiple requests for the same bag in the same time frame

Hope this super long recap helps and thanks for letting me share!

Just left Paris today. Was in Paris for a total of 5 days. 4 of us in our group, 2 with purchase histories, 2 without. I shopped in FSH for the first two days of our trip and purchased RTW, a pair of shoes, several scarves, and some home accessories, total spending around €9k.

We tried for FSH appointments for all 5 days but failed (5 days x 4 = 20 tries). My friend has a purchase history of at least €300,000 spread over a few years and also failed on all 5 tries. While not VIP level, it is still a substantial amount. So it looks like the FSH appointments is purely dependent on luck and perseverance and nothing to do with purchase history.

Queued at George V store every morning. By 8.45am there were already 4-5 people queuing, at 9 am at least 10 people, and by opening time I estimate at least 30 people in queue. No luck on all days. I was only looking to purchase a Birkin or Kelly, but failed on all days. Was offered herbag, picotin and GP.

Overall I find the shopping experience very impersonal. For example in RTW section, no one attended to me. I approached an SA to try on some clothes, but when I came out of the changing room the SA had walked off, and I had to look for another. Then when I wanted to look at homeware or shoes, the SAs just pointed me to the respective departments instead of assisting or finding me another SA. The SAs I met while polite and nice, were very distant and showed no interest in small talk or building a relationship. The SAs in H are a whole different breed from those in say Chanel or LV who I feel are always warm and friendly and keen to keep you as their client.

Anyway just to add, a SA told my friend that Hermes is now focused on introducing the brand to new clients, and so new customers have a higher chance of getting the quota bags, instead of say an existing customer who only shops occasionally and already has a quota bag. And also they do not bother about how much you spend; if you want a bag, you have to go the appointment route, no other ways around it. Not sure how accurate this is.

Hello everyone,
I would like to discuss experience at FSH store for EU locals.
I had my first (but unsuccessful) experience and hope to know your experience on how to successfully score a bag, as an EU local.
I am Germany-based and have family in France. I usually shop with my local store in Germany, but it takes long time to wait for a bag. Thus, I tried the FSH store. Last week, I managed to get an appointment at 4pm through online system. I took one day off and took train to Paris, only for the appointment. They didn't have any in stock for what I asked for, so I left with empty hands.
I will continue to try, but my concern is whether that is a waste of time and money. I would not compromise much just to have a bag (I already have Birkin). I only take a bag which is exactly what I want.
Should you share with me your experience at FSH store?
1) How many try did you make before you got the bag you want?
2) Should buying some items at FSH help?
3) Having a late appointment is hopeless?
4) Is shopping at local stores a better strategy?
Let's discuss your experience at FSH store. It might help others to save time and money.
Note: the reason why I ask for EU locals (except Parisians where you are just nearby the shop) experience, is because we might not try successively multiple days in a short period, like 5-7 days, but only come when you have appointments. I myself will not hang around Paris for days in a row, but coming there only if I have an appointment. Also, my question is solely experience at FSH store, where you don't need to have purchase history and have chance to get a bag as a walk-in.
Thanks.
