In all the years that I’ve travelled abroad and made purchases, this has never been a problem. I’ve cut off tags from a lot of my purchases. The only time that I ever get asked is to see the goods. I know that you’re trying to be helpful here but I don’t find this to be valid advice.

I know at LHR they check everything to make sure it hasn’t been used or worn. I had to open up all my boxes, I had all the ribbons intact and they opened up everything. When I asked why they had to open it up, it came down to some people would try and get tax refund for friends who lived in Europe and didn’t qualify for the refund. Also a lot of people would buy for friends and have empty boxes to show.

Hi guys,
I was pretty open with my selections I asked for a Kelly 25 or 28 , b 25 or Constance. I have 10 Birkins already and just got my most recent one in May at FSH But I’m very specific on colors and hw. She got back and told me that I couldn’t get a B or K because I just got one but she had my HG. She even reminded me to try it on as I just said I’ll take it. Anyway I literally got my HG and she said I could get a another b or k in a few months if I’m in town. Introducing my Constance 24 Etain with RGHW. Great stress free experience. I do have a long history at FSH that probably helps with walk ins I guess. Also Being kind and polite goes a long way. Best of luck to everyone.
