I hope it’s not too late to share my H experience few months back in Paris.

On the first day of arrival, we didn’t get any appointment as we forgot we had to make it on the day before. On the second day however DH and I tried requesting for our appointment but it was declined. We went to George V and Sevres both days, no bkc found, but they were carrying many other popular items like lindy, rouris, rodeo etc. On the third day, DH and I were granted with our appointments. Mine was slotted at 10.30am as early as the store opens, while DH was slotted at 4pm. I had a good feeling just when I saw the time assigned.

At 10am, DH and I went straight to FSH and there were already 3 people queuing in front of us. As soon as the door opens, everyone rushed towards the end (where the leather goods were usually sold). However as we walked in we were stopped by a nice SA asking us ‘to go upstairs’ for our appointment. So we followed and went to first floor, where we were greeted by a pic asking for our appointment. It seems that the queuing location shifted that day. As we were the first in line at the leather department, we were assigned to a male SA which I later found out that he’s the manager of cuir department.

Once we were seated, he quickly asked for our wishlist. He was fast throughout the whole time as if he was in competition. After we gave him our wishlist, he told us he will check the inventory. Before he left, he oddly double confirmed with us the payment method and made sure I’ll be paying with my own credit card (it was my appointment). Sounds like he wanted to assure we will not have payment issues during checkout.

He returned after a long 5 minuets that feels like forever. We were then led to a private room. It’s a black C24! I was thrilled and couldn’t express my gratitude enough. After confirming our purchase, he told us he will bring the box straight to cashier as he doesn’t want anyone else to see the bag being offered.

As we stepped out of the private room, we saw many shoppers being turned down. I think it’s about the timing. We were just lucky enough to be the first in line and to be served by a manager. It was my third time in Paris and my second score from FSH. I’ll be returning to Paris again in December & hope I’ll score something different this time!
Congrats!!! May I ask what was on your wishlist? Also what color roulis did you see?

I have a question about appointments at FSH. If you are given an appointment are you allowed to reschedule? I am going in a few weeks and my flight lands late morning and I'm afraid if I get an early appointment then I can't make that time. I didn't know how flexible appointments are. Last time I was in Paris in 2016 I didn't need an appointment and just walked in and got exactly what I asked for! Unfortunately I don't think it will be as easy this time!

I’ve been in Paris since Thursday and tried to get an appt every day. I normally shop at FSH and was unable to get an appt. I tried for a cancellation twice and was told nothing was available. I’m so disappointed that this is my first trip to Paris in 2 years (4th time) where I was unable to even get an appointment!! I thought I was on a roll- I guess don’t get too cocky!!

I want to know what was on your Wishlist too!!

I told him I wanted small bags - B30/25, K28/25, C18/24. He did ask again for priorities, I told him either K25 or Constance. Color wise I wasn’t too specific. After all, not all colors are available in the season. Eg when I was there rose poupre was the new color. So I did mention purple to see if I could hit something.

The reason why I didn’t emphasize on color is because I believe sometimes it’s better to see the bags irl than assuming the color based on photos online. However I did tell him no orange or green. Those are the colors I truly dislike and wouldn’t bother to even consider.

My Parents are currently in paris, after 2 failed attempted for an appointment they both had one earlier in the morning today. My mum was first, she asked for a b/k/c in smaller sizes in exotic leather, but the SA told her that its impossible, and was offered a B25 in a new shade of brown and picotin 18 ostrich, she took them both. In my dad appointment he was offered kelly 25, kelly pochette and birkin 30 all in ostrich !! His appointment was 2 hours later, they even told him they have 3 different colors in b30 ostrich, he ended up buying b30 ostrich in a purple shade not sure of the name, he was also offered mini Evelyne in 5 different colors. I think he was shown many options because he has a good sale history. Cant wait for them to be back as the ostrich picotin is my bday gift.
