Wednesday 9/12
Both of us signed up again online despite having an upcoming appt today (this had now almost become an experiment!). We went into H around 11:30 and explained to the concierge lady (every day was a different staff), that we had a conflicting lunch reservation and would love to see if we could be seen before lunch, as well as the availability of our SA. Were told we could move our appt to 2:30pm but not before our time slot due to no availability. Upon checking also our SA was allotted to station at the small leather goods dept and would not be working handbag appts today.

We scooted over to the SLG department and immediately saw our SA, who greeted us and apologized for not being able to work the appt with us. Then he asked if we were looking for any small leather pieces, while under his breath also asked us to remind him what bags we were looking for again, and immediately hopped over to the computer screen next to the glass cases. I lowered my voice (lol) and told him my choices as he "browsed" on the computer screen. Within a few moments he whispered there was indeed a delivery in the morning and while he was forbidden to provide intel on B and K, there was ONE Constance available in the store - Bleu Zellige epsom with GHW, which he could grab immediately for us. He said we could elect to wait until our afternoon appt, in which case the Constance would 100% be sold before then.

This was a huge decision moment for us - as our SA would need to annul my afternoon appt should we decide to take the C18. In the end we decided to take the beautiful C18 right away and made a gamble that my hubby might still have a chance to score an appt for a Kelly under his profile before we leave Paris.

In addition to the C18 we also picked up a chevre calvi in the brand new Rose D'ete color, and went on our merry way to our lunch reservation.

Great decision to take the C18, it’s beautiful color and with GHW! Can’t pass that up! Calvi is so cute in that color too!

hi everyone,

just landed back in NYC last night from Paris so figured to recap my H experience here when I can still remember every detail...

** WARNING ** - long lost AND may seem extremely obsessive but do know we stayed at Sofitel which is located right across the street of FSH, therefore all actions taken were made possible due to the store's proximity to our hotel...

Monday 9/10
as mentioned a few posts back, hubby and I signed up on Saturday 9/8 for an appt on Monday 9/10, and both of us were rejected. Upon landing in Paris on Monday morning we both signed up again for Tuesday, and went into the store anyway to check things out. It was approx. 1pm and the entire store was mobbed with people, so we decided to go get lunch and return later.

We returned to the store approx. 2:30pm and it was way calmer. We beelined to the concierge to see if there would be any openings at all for the day. To our surprise the concierge lady said someone didn't show up for an appt and could put us with an SA right away.

We were greeted by a nice Asian male SA who lead us up to the private area next to the home goods department and asked how he could help us. We informed him we would like to select some gifts to celebrate our wedding anniversary, ideally to include a bag on my wishlist - K25, K20, Kelly pochette, C24 or C18, focusing on neutral colors but would also be interested in pinks, and flexible in leather type and hardware. He went away for quite a while... maybe 20 minutes? and sadly returned completely empty handed, explaining that there was simply no delivery that afternoon and that we were not missing out on anything. We believed him as those around us were only offered picotin's. He then asked us how long we were staying in Paris (until Friday), and said to be sure to sign up again online and ask for his assistance once we have another confirmed appointment.

Before we left, he helped us with purchasing a studded mini dog bag strap in Gris Asphalte with PHW that had also been on my wishlist and not available in the US market just yet :

We enjoyed the rest of the day shopping at Le Bon Marche, Isabel Marant, and eating the best oysters and French crepes.

That evening, sadly both of us received rejection notifications again.

Tuesday 9/11
Both of us signed up again online. Hubby suggested we go back to H to see if we could get ourselves a same day appt. We had a nice relaxing breakfast which included the best brioche with jam! We then went to FSH around noon to visit the concierge. Were told to return "after lunch" to check, which we did around 2:30pm, but this time we were turned away saying there were no more appts available.

We enjoyed the rest of the day shopping at Balenciaga, Acne Studios, Leica (hubby) and eating the best food along the way.

That evening, my hubby was once again rejected (3rd time) and I was approved for 1:50pm! Then we realized we had a 1pm lunch reservation that we very much looked forward to...

Love the Mini Dog strap! Did it come in other colors?

CONGRATULATIONS :yahoo:

Wanted to share an unsuccessful attempt earlier in the month at FSH

I purchased a K28 at FSH back in August of 2016 before the appointment system when you simply had to queue. I was very lucky to have met the right SA on my second attempt that trip.

This time, I happened to take Air France to my Italian destination which require a layover in CDG. I had 12 hours in the city only-- arriving at 7am and departing for Italy at 7pm. 2 days prior to departing when I was still in my home city, I started registering for appointments. I was successful in scoring an appointment on the 3rd attempt for Saturday 1 Sep at 10:30am. I know this is probably frowned upon by some but I figured I had a very small window of opportunity and took a chance. I did not know whether or not my appointment would be successful until I landed in Paris.

I stored my luggage at CDG and made my way into Paris. I arrived at FSH at 10:32am. I headed upstairs to the bags department where many clients were already seated talking to SA's with a small queue of 3 to 5 guests ahead of me. After showing my passport I waited about 3 minutes before I was assigned to an SA.

The SA tried to find a secluded spot for us to discuss my preferences. I gave him the options of B30 or K25 sellier in black, bleu nuit, or burgundy. I do not like Epsom and he suggested Box leather as an option. He mentioned that K/B were rare and if I was interested in anything else, I said perhaps a mini Bolide. I mentioned also that my K28 was purchased from here and was not interested in this size again. He then pulled up my profile on his phone and asked me to reconfirm if it is me. After I validated my address, he offered me beverages and I took a water which was served to me before he went to check the stock.

He was gone for quite a long time and I saw a guest being shown a Roulis in a bright pink and Jige also in bright pink which were both declined by the client.

When he returned it was with 3 boxes. But he immediately told me that no K/B were available and mentioned that he did not see my purchase history in the system. He then showed me what were in the boxes. I was offered a L30 in bleu nuit and gold hardware, a mini bolide in a dark pink (sorry forgot which one, pinks are not my color), and a mini bolide in a fun patchwork pattern. Unfortunately none of them sang to me and I denied all of them.

I proceeded to fine jewelry to try on a few pieces and saw a client being offered a K28 in noir. And of course one of our TPF members scored a B25 in the afternoon on the same day. I also think that a gentleman with an adorable daughter without an appointment (who happened to queue the same time as me), was successful.

I ended up spending quite some time in scarves as I was unsuccessful in fine jewelry (no combo that I wanted available) and shoes (no size for any orans in any colour in a size 38). After I made a substantial purchase in scarves and my SA asked me to reconfirm my profile again, I mentioned to her that the bag SA said I didn't have any purchase history. She said it showed that I had purchased but then returned a pair of shoes in Cannes with EUR0 purchased. I've never been to Hermes in Cannes so it could not have been me. Essentially I had the right passport number/right address but $0 spending history on my profile. Later on the cashier did re-identify my purchase history based on my tax refund receipts and reattached them.

I'm unsure whether or not I was not offered anything this time due to this hiccup. I did feel that my bag SA did try to help but could not or would not offer me a bag.

I'll be back in Paris in October and try my luck again!

Oh no! Sorry you had that experience! I know it must have been very frustrating seeing others with bag offers. Hopefully, it will all work out in October, now that you resolved the purchase history issue!

You're not crazy as I would have done the same with a long layover. Too bad that you didn't score anything but at least got some silk. Enjoy all the details and hopefully you have better luck next time.
