So before I left for Paris on Thursday ( 13/09) I applied for the appointment for Friday (14/09) like a good little girl and I religiously read everyone’s comment on this thread over and over again.. and as predicted, I didn’t get one for Friday . So I quickly registered both hubby and I for Saturday appointment again.
15/09 ( Sat) we both got rejected again [emoji24][emoji24] Then around 2 pm ,hubby suggested that we drop by the FSH anyways to see if they will fit me in ( I taught him v v well[emoji1303])
So off we went , store was packed and super busy . The host said to me if I want to buy B/K then I need to apply for an appointment for Monday but for anything else she could fit me in today .( this is something new that I haven’t read before ...?) Hubby and I both applied again for Monday with her then I decided to browse around the shop .I managed to find a pair of sandals that still has my size available & few ties for hubby . Oh I bought a cashmere knit top as well . That night I got a confirmation for appointment at 11:35 on Monday 17/09 and hubby got rejected again . I didn’t feel too upset as I know some people try more than 3 or 4 times and still couldn’t get an appointment so I consider myself super lucky .
We had lovely time exploring Paris city on Sunday , the weather is super nice and very warm.
17/09 ( Mon) the appointment time kept jumping from 11:35 to 12:20 then at one stage it was pushed back to 14:25, then it went back to 13:30. Our hotel is around 7 mins walk to the store so we start making our way to the FSH at 1 pm . When I arrived , I reported to the hostess and she said you are a bit early, your SA is still with previous customer... I went okay , I will be at men’s RTW as hubby wants to check out some of the cashmere top . Then 5 mins later I received a text saying my SA is ready ...( but I am not ready [emoji24][emoji24][emoji24],hubby is being indecisive ) I ran down to the hostess and there is this Asian male SA with warm smile waiting for me . I told him I am just over at men’s RTW to pick few things for hubby and my brother , he said no problem, when you ready just let your RTW SA know and I’ll take over. For some reason I was really relaxed and went yea sure I’ll let you know when I am done here . After 15-20mins when both hubby & brother happy with their purchase then I told the RTW SA that I am ready to see my SA now . He came over and started asking what bag am I looking for and colour , size etc ( all the stock standard question )
I told him what bag I have and said I am not interested in neutral colour and definitely want to try small bags ( I have mostly size 35 for my birkin and kelly ) I said while it’s good for work but for going out I need an elegant size . I said kelly mini is cute or kelly 25 is okay too. But I have no idea how those bags will look on me . So he went and get a kelly mini for me to try

It was so small , but very very cute. Hubby said to me , if you get this bag , you can’t fit your iPhone XR in the bag [emoji317] then the SA went and grab this kelly 25 for me to try

Wanted to share an unsuccessful attempt earlier in the month at FSH

I purchased a K28 at FSH back in August of 2016 before the appointment system when you simply had to queue. I was very lucky to have met the right SA on my second attempt that trip.

This time, I happened to take Air France to my Italian destination which require a layover in CDG. I had 12 hours in the city only-- arriving at 7am and departing for Italy at 7pm. 2 days prior to departing when I was still in my home city, I started registering for appointments. I was successful in scoring an appointment on the 3rd attempt for Saturday 1 Sep at 10:30am. I know this is probably frowned upon by some but I figured I had a very small window of opportunity and took a chance. I did not know whether or not my appointment would be successful until I landed in Paris.

I stored my luggage at CDG and made my way into Paris. I arrived at FSH at 10:32am. I headed upstairs to the bags department where many clients were already seated talking to SA's with a small queue of 3 to 5 guests ahead of me. After showing my passport I waited about 3 minutes before I was assigned to an SA.

The SA tried to find a secluded spot for us to discuss my preferences. I gave him the options of B30 or K25 sellier in black, bleu nuit, or burgundy. I do not like Epsom and he suggested Box leather as an option. He mentioned that K/B were rare and if I was interested in anything else, I said perhaps a mini Bolide. I mentioned also that my K28 was purchased from here and was not interested in this size again. He then pulled up my profile on his phone and asked me to reconfirm if it is me. After I validated my address, he offered me beverages and I took a water which was served to me before he went to check the stock.

He was gone for quite a long time and I saw a guest being shown a Roulis in a bright pink and Jige also in bright pink which were both declined by the client.

When he returned it was with 3 boxes. But he immediately told me that no K/B were available and mentioned that he did not see my purchase history in the system. He then showed me what were in the boxes. I was offered a L30 in bleu nuit and gold hardware, a mini bolide in a dark pink (sorry forgot which one, pinks are not my color), and a mini bolide in a fun patchwork pattern. Unfortunately none of them sang to me and I denied all of them.

I proceeded to fine jewelry to try on a few pieces and saw a client being offered a K28 in noir. And of course one of our TPF members scored a B25 in the afternoon on the same day. I also think that a gentleman with an adorable daughter without an appointment (who happened to queue the same time as me), was successful.

I ended up spending quite some time in scarves as I was unsuccessful in fine jewelry (no combo that I wanted available) and shoes (no size for any orans in any colour in a size 38). After I made a substantial purchase in scarves and my SA asked me to reconfirm my profile again, I mentioned to her that the bag SA said I didn't have any purchase history. She said it showed that I had purchased but then returned a pair of shoes in Cannes with EUR0 purchased. I've never been to Hermes in Cannes so it could not have been me. Essentially I had the right passport number/right address but $0 spending history on my profile. Later on the cashier did re-identify my purchase history based on my tax refund receipts and reattached them.

I'm unsure whether or not I was not offered anything this time due to this hiccup. I did feel that my bag SA did try to help but could not or would not offer me a bag.

I'll be back in Paris in October and try my luck again!

I’m so sorry you weren’t offered a bag of your liking, I really think they happened to receive a shipment later that afternoon when I scored my B25. I hope you will be lucky in October!

This is my first time in the FSH , I have been in Paris 3 times now but always feel so intimidated to walk in ...The whole FSH experience was fantastic and I even have a chance to try the different size before I decide which one I like . This will never happen in my home boutique.

Thursday 9/13
Both of us made one last attempt to sign up online - 10 attempts in total, with 1 legitimate appt approval via the online system under my passport, and 1 same day walk in appt under hubby’s passport.

Hubby went in this time to check with the concierge (again a different person), upon which he was told that “he” had already bought a bag during this trip and wonder why he needed another appt. This was quite shocking consider the bag was purchased under my passport, and today he was the one inquiring for an appt. Then concierge told him our profiles had actually been combined?! After some more talking Hubby did in the end snag a same day appt at 6:20pm (last appt of the day), as he did verify with them per H policy one could purchase a C AND a B OR K in one trip. Feeling a little baffled we did enjoy the rest of our day before heading back to the store.

We returned to the store around 6:15pm, and the same Asian male SA was already there waiting. We were quite surprised to see him as we didn’t ask for a specific SA. Without taking us anywhere he just asked us how he could help standing right at the concierge desk. This time he was curt and a little cold and we had a hunch he wasn’t going to try very hard. I repeated my wishlist and off he went. Within 5 minutes he returned to us empty handed saying there wasn’t anything left for the day, and asked if we would plan to return to Paris soon (no plans for now). We thanked him and left the store.

** interesting side note is that the K20 in magnolia that Rachi_fan tried on was on display in the glass shelves, and I would have taken it in a heartbeat!**

That evening, both of us were rejected one last time.

A few observations and lessons learned on this trip -

1) one would never know what the current quota bag rules really are (this SA said 1 per year while others mentioned 1 per semester), IMHO the SA has the final verdict to offer the bag to you

2) chances of having another online appt approval after an appt has been previously granted, either with same day at concierge or through normal online approval = dismal, regardless of purchase success or not during the appt

3) still a mystery to us how our profiles got linked together consider we have different passports

4) I now cherish my home store SA so much more, when I am with her I never feel like I am on police record trying to beg for a favor

Hope the purchase history snafu was cleared up. I have a very common name and even at my home H, I have to give additional info like my phone number to ensure that they have the right profile. Wish you best of luck for your October attempt!

The rule about birkin/ kelly and constance is not written so its not a fixed rule, my cousin was offered B25 and constance 18 at FSH a month ago and managed to buy them both.

Love the Mini Dog strap! Did it come in other colors?

Yes! I was shown in black with GHW, black with PHW, and Jaune ambre with GHW, and Gris asphalte in GHW, in addition to the PHW which I took. This also comes in 2 lengths, one in regular 85cm length (same measurement as the one for k28), and 1 size shorter. I took the slightly shorter version for mine so the bag could hang a little higher on my side.
