2nd appointment different SA, a lady this time. The first SA who offered the 35 didn’t seem too happy I was taking a while to make decision. I showed him the 30 later as he was registered and he did congratulate me but he didn’t seem super thrilled. I am sure they see the same excitement and disappointment day after day and it gets old for them.

The lady who offered me the B30 was so happy when I was all smiles ear to ear saying I love it. Even told her I got slightly teary eyed day before when I was rejected from appointment. Hubby came every time I went to Hermès. We went a couple times day before to try to get cancellation but no luck. Day I was offered bag, I saw some of the SA’s walking to lunch nearby and they recognized me and said hello and goodbye. One was the hostess who greets people or sees if there are cancellations. She saw I was ecstatic about the bag.

I think the SA who I turned down for the B35 wasn’t super pleased though. I do feel bad as I said I will take it, then called my local SA for advice and she talked me out of it saying to remember I don’t like large bags.

One other SA who I bought belt from also told me to wait and make sure it’s the right bag.

Overall very satisfied. We have left Paris and now are off to other Europe destinations, then home (USA). I miss my furry babies that are home with dog/cat sitter.

Still no luck in manual appointments after going to fsh on Friday evening. Quite disheartened by then & thought of just getting a jypsiere bag in Brighton colour as I love sling bag & saw it on display. However, in the evening around 7.30pm Paris time, got lucky message from Hermes for appointment on Sat 11plus after 2nd try online. Hubby got rejected for 2nd try.

Welcome by a really nice SA. Given her my choices & she came back in about 20min & ask me to follow her to a room. There were 3 smaller boxes & 1 bigger box.

Showed me 2 smaller boxes with Magnolia & Gris asplalte kelly wallet. Another box with a mini bolide. Before showing the bigger box, my SA says she cannot find any bkc for me & hope I would like the bag she is going to reveal. By then, I was really sad. Much to my surprise, what she actually revealed then was a kelly 28 in Magnolia Color & clemence leather. Of cause I took it as it is 1 of the colours I like. My choices given to her is pretty wide. B30 or k28 or k32 or C24, colours will be neutral like grey or brown but not black, pastel colours like pink or blue. If purple, green or yellow will be lighter shades & not dark shades. No preference on hardware. Leather would be Togo, clemence or epsome. Is my very first hermes bag so I do not have a very strict preference but I really love pink though. SA did ask me what is my preference for bag, that is b, k or c. I told her K.

While in the room, I told her I would love a wallet too, so we hold on to the Gris asphalte Kelly wallet with palladium hw & went to look at Constance wallet. Eventually got a Gris asphalte Kelly wallet in epsome with gold hw as I find Constance wallet really hard to open.

I also got a Tan kelly belt as it is a nice neutral colour & with rose gold hw. Attached picture of my purchases. I finally got home today not empty handed after 3rd trip to Paris & hopefully more to come... I was contented so hubby didn’t make another appointment for Monday & we booked our flight out to Italy milan on Monday night to continue our honeymoon.

Patience, determination & a nice SA really helps. Tks for letting me share my story & hope every hermes lover will find what u want & have a fruitful trip!

I can’t remember who asked what after reading through the comments, but here is my full Paris experience and I’ll try to mention all the details.
Total H newbie last May at George V store...bought 2 bracelets and a belt. Came back home to the US and started learning more about the brand. Decided I was on a mission for a B! DH and I returned to Paris in early August. Stopped by George V store and was told no B or K, but was shown an Evelyne PM, so purchased that and a Twilly. Went to FSH and was told to make an online appt and we purchased 2 belts, a hinged bracelet and 3 equestrian ribbon bracelets (only 120€ each!). Got appt for 10:30 the next morning. Asked for a B30 or 25, preferably black, any hardware. Next choice, neutral or darker colors, nothing too bright. Was offered a B35 Novillo GHW and a fourbi. Took the bag, declined the fourbi. Was shown some wallets but declined, got a Twilly. Had I known then what I know now, I would’ve bought a wallet to build my profile in the hopes of another offer on my next trip :-/ On the day I was offered the B, DH was wearing jeans w H belt and Prada sneakers. I was wearing jeans w H belt and Prada flats, carrying the Evie PM w Twilly I purchased the day before at George V... so although we were casual we had on a couple of nice things. So basically, we had a very small spending history, so I feel we just got very lucky that day. I have read/heard about more nonsuccessfuk stories than successful ones, so don’t be discouraged. I know how lucky and random my experience was. After returning home, I started to develop a relationship with my local store and have already taken home a K28 ... yes, it is more expensive, here... however, it was a much less stressful experience and now, I will have the opportunity for more bags in the future.

Hey you guys! I just wanted to get your opinion on how a conversation with a sales starts once you get assigned to one. Last time I went, I was assigned to someone who quickly began the conversation with "what are you looking for today", without even giving me the chance to ask how she was or even spark up a conversation. Has this happened to anyone? Or what was anyones experience with the initial meet?

It is so intimidating already to even step into the store, so to have someone who already does not seem friendly adds to the anxiety hahaha

Last time I asked for the usual b/k, she went away and came back super quick and brought over a bolide that I politely declined. I didn't want to take it because I really did not have interest in that, but after I told her that I would like to look at some clothing and shoes, but she responded that she only worked at the leather department. Thoughts?

I know there is definitely no secret sauce to getting a BK besides luck but in case in the future this happens to me again, what should I do to start a conversation in the beginning??

My SA and I did not explain pleasantries. She was quite intimidating w her blunt cut bangs and sweep of red eyeshadow. She marched up and immediately asked what I wanted. She wasn’t rude or mean or anything like that...just all business.

I got very lucky today! Originally we were to go to Milan to catch our connection home but instead decided the day before to go to Paris instead for a day. We didnt get any appts w/ the online system but was in the neighborhood of FSH so thought we would give it a try! We went in & inquired about a possible appt but they were booked out and asked we return in 1hr to see if there were any cancellations. We went upstairs to browse shoes as I was lookingfor the “remake” sandal. They look like the Oran but with buckles. Of course they were out of stock since its a summer item. I was ready to leave but my husband passed by the hostess desk and she entered me in their appt system and said wait for my text when SA is ready. Long story short...IMG_5656.jpg
