I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

My DH got an appt on his 3rd try and I got mine on the 4th try. I and our toddler girl tagged along on my DH’s appt (on a Friday, right before it closed), we got a mini Constance and a Lindy.

I went to my appointment alone (on a Saturday at around 4pm), I got the unicorn B30 noir ghw... so i guess it’s very random, just pure luck.
On your second appt when you went alone, we’re you served by a different SA?

I spent amost US$30K in my home country. But my SA hasn’t offered me any BKC in any color or any size. Just feel that they are liars. Keeping telling me to spend more money for other unwanted items. And the prices of H in my home country like 30-40% higher than in EU. Now, I rather go oversea to buy H items.

If I were you and my store didn't appreciate my business, I'd buy from a reseller. You can get exactly what you want for less money than you are spending. I am sorry this is happening to you, but resellers are a viable option.

Would have bought 2 lovely bags from reseller with that money.

I would like to play devil’s advocate here and say that vuuduu’s experience is EXACTLY why you SHOULDN’T buy from a re-sellers. Hermes re-sellers are the exact reason why it’s getting harder and harder every year to purchase a bag from Hermes. These are the people who often lie and deceive sales assistants in order to financially benefit from goods they did not design, produce or have any intellectual claim over. These are the people who pollute Hermes online appointment system in Paris, making it extra difficult for genuine customers. They should not be encouraged in any shape of form. Personally, I’d rather buy $10k worth of lovely Hermes goods from H and finally get my bag in the end than pay double the price to an undeserving reseller.
Having said that, I do think that 30k spending with no bad offer is just ridiculous. Changing store is the only option IMHO.

You are certainly right that resellers try to buy from FSH and elsewhere. Hermes has tried to make it harder in Paris with the appointment system requiring a passport number. BUT, I think that resellers -- especially in the US -- have plenty of sources for new bags. There are many women who buy, don't use, sell, or who buy to maintain their status in the store, or who buy specifically to resell in the hopes of making a few bucks. (not sure what the intellectual property argument has to do with this). That will never change as long as Hermes makes it hard to buy a bag from the boutique. IMHO, Hermes is satisfied with the status quo. If I lived in an area where it was impossible to get a bag from Hermes despite my spending efforts, I would go to a reseller.

Besides, there are other reasons people buy from resellers, e.g. some people don't want to wait for the exact bag from the store (it could be years and price goes up every year), some people have max-ed out their quota, some people just don't like other products Hermes offer and don't want to play the game, celebrities and people who "money is no object" buy from them to top up their collection.
People also sell because their lifestyle change etc.
One can't just dismiss the whole resell market as it is very mature in all major brands, not just Hermes.
Also, how many people who are offered bags in Paris which aren't their first choices but they buy them anyway because they know they can always sell them. It's just what it is, supply and demand!

Whether or not to purchase from a reseller is each individuals right. But the decision should be made by considering and carefully evaluated all the information available. I strongly believe that quite frequently (too frequently for my liking), people on this forum are pointed in the directions of resellers without due explanation of what these resellers represent. This is usually aimed at newbies who are very keen (understandably) to purchase a much desired bag.

With regards to your confusion about Hermes intellectual property, please let me re-emphasise that it is absolutely being breached by Hermes resellers. IP is breached whenever the product is exploited without having the required permission from the Company currently owning those rights. I do not believe Hermes resellers have explicit rights to trade with Hermes products. In fact, it is quite obvious that Hermes are currently doing anything in their power to identify and weed out such resellers. I do not hereby refer to any individual who has purchased a product in good faith for personal use and, after finding it unsuitable for whatever reason, sells it privately. Such people do not trade volumes and are not commonly referred to as resellers.

This is all I’m going to say about this matter and this purely represents my opinion.

Actually, it's not against the law to resell product you already paid in full and in your possession. Hermes absolutely cannot legally prevent people from reselling their products on the secondary markets.

Exactly! For example, Christie's and many reputable auction houses sell Hermes products. If they're breaching IP surely Hermes would have sued them by now and put a stop to it. But that's certainly not the case. I daresay Hermes love the publicity of their used bags being sold at record prices!

Yep! We even have a section for members to post links to their own auctions/listings etc. on the forum. Nothing illegal about that.
