I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

Hi I think the spence of mine doesn’t present a thing and it will be easily made others think that they are ( not I am) not spending enough so they didn’t get it, which is wrong according to this forum.

But I do think if you have slightly better purchase history at fhs you might get an appointment quicker.

I talked about it because the other member share her luck at GV and her spence isn’t little but let’s put down this way, mine was far more. That why I said if I have read all this threads previously and play my card more carefully, I could have bag one at the other two stores.

But, do not fall into the ‘ I didn’t spend enough to get an appointment’// ‘I didn’t spend enough to get the handbag’ impression, according to many people here, it wasn’t their case at all. On the contrary, if you set up a spending target but not getting anything ideal and buying too much things you don’t need, you might feel even worse afterwards. I guess if you want to play cards with the stores, to get bags, you better ask people with more experience with luck of bought bags in the end, which will be a better reference.

I didn’t get the bag because I didn’t play my card right at two other stores, which I didn’t realised when sales were trying to get more items for me so that I can buy a bag later. I was too new to this game at that point.

, I think the

I honestly don’t believe that for a second. I have a healthy purchase history at FSH and Sevres stores and I have NEVER scored an online appointment in Paris. My husband (when he was travelling on his own) scored one appointment and was greeted by a SA with “no birkins and no kelly today” before he even opened his mouth to say hi. Since the beginning of this year I had 4 trips to Paris each 2-3 days in duration and he had 3-4 trips also 2-3 days in duration.

Thank you all. I hope I made the right choice of taking the offer. The SA said this is “the Color” although the size is not perfect. I have wanted to have a bag in this combo for some time actually.

As I am going back to Paris in late Sept, can anyone advise how it works for the quota of B or K in France? I will definitely be trying to get appointments at FSH again, and will be going to Bordeaux during weekend as well (I believe there is an H shop there?). Just wonder if they will offer me another B or K now that I bought one in early August?

The quota is one B or K in every ROLLING 6 months. It is also strictly enforced.

I am sorry but generally it's unlikely you can buy 2 quota bags within 2 months. Bordeaux and the whole of France is linked if I am not wrong. So your August purchase can be seen. You can request for non-quota bags.

The quota is one B or K in every ROLLING 6 months. It is also strictly enforced.

For b/k you only allowed to buy one of them every 6 months in theory, in France.

Thanks
So I have to use my hubby’s passport then, and try get myself another Constance maybe (dreaming)? Is kelly pochette considered a quota bag?

I think only B and K counts. Plus there are some boutiques in France which isn’t merged into the system, I have been to those. For the latter even they don’t see your purchase record they can be one of those only interesting in selling to locals but not tourist, or doesn’t have inventory of B/K at all.

Oh Gosh, OzSplannie, that sounds terrible! I only learnt from here and some other forums where tourists bought items on the application or the day after they were rejected (bought a good few items) and bag an appointment in the evening of the purchasing day. Same happened to myself. but if you were not even granted an appointment at all then I might start to give up my hope at FSH completely and better spend my time and money at the other two stores next time. In case no appointment is granted for me. I actually have been rejected twice and I can only speak for myself— I have no shopping record in my account.

Having said that, there are so many others replying these days that they were only granted an appointment on 3rd or 4th trial.

Do you mind share have you managed to buy any bag at FSH at all before all your appointments were rejected? Even pre the online booking system was introduced? If you have spent a sizable amount of none leather items there, were there no one approach you at all to kindly offer you some bag after your heathy spending?

Thanks!

I think even with your own account you won’t have issue to bag a Constance, if they are willing to offer you one. Why don’t you save your husband’s account for your next kelly? ;) but your Husband better be lucky enough to get an appointment first, from all the last few pages I Guess you realize how hard to get into the que? ;) but please please kindly report back in September. ;)))
Thanks

Yes yes, I mean I use my own passport to ask for a Constance while I ask my hubby to try for a quota bag, if we are both so lucky to get appointment that is. In Aug I got the appointment confirmation on my 3rd try, and I hope we will get it with similar number of trials as we only got 4 days in Paris for our coming trip.

Good luck!!! Keep us posted please!

All the bests!!!

I have scored one bag in Paris. That was in April when after several days in a row I was rejected for an online appointment and each and every one of those days kept walking into FSH in the morning and in the afternoon in hope of some cancellations. On my very last attempt I was given an appointment and met a lovely SA who offered me a lovely Kelly. I was extremely grateful after all the hassle and took it, but it was not the size or colour I asked for. Having said that, I’ve been back to Paris 3 times since and keep asking for an appointment in hope of a C24, but just keep getting rejected. I don’t even know what an email with an appointment offer looks like :confused1: On every visit I’ve been buying things like scarves, rtw, belts and various leather and enamel jewellery. And while I COMPLETLEY understand how lucky I was to score my lovely Kelly while so many other ladies try and fail, I was quite disheartened by the whole experience of having to constantly come to the store with the puppy dog eyes and beg them to give me an appointment. That kinda felt downgrading and unfair, knowing how much cash I injected into Hermes on non-handbag items. Sorry for the rant. But I just feel that this appointment system is a sheer disappointment.

OzSplannie,

Thanks for your answers. Yes I understand it’s so frustrated. All of us know that...:(

But as you know, I think it won’t make you any happier but at least I am here with you who didn’t score anything at all. Even worse I had a shopping history which With the $$$ I could have played it better at other shops and bag the bag of I am not picky at colours and leathers...

I am still very surprise on here, it sounds like almost everyone scored something except me. And some other’s recent thread even confirmed that on my day of visit, I was definitely there before some others who were offered a bag, but rejected the offer which were not even given to me at all?? It doesn’t sound they have any shopping history in France at all if I didn’t read it wrong. Plus don’t forget that one of our accounts successfully bag an appointment was the account with all the french spence history and we also accidentally spent something at boutiques not even merged in the system. In other words, waste of money there completely.

After hearing the sharings, I better off to the other two stores to find my luck next time...

sigh...

With all the time, energy and money you've apparently expended, it might be better spent developing a relationship with your home store. Or even just buying from a reseller.

Personally, I think it's a waste of time to try to make some sort of sense evaluating all the different experiences people have had. The only conclusion in my mind is that it is random. You either are lucky to get an appointment and then to click with an SA to get a bag, or you are not. Clearly, spending will not get you a computer-generated appointment -- I think you should accept that at this point. If you get an appointment, it seems random whether you will get a bag -- but you may increase your chances if you buy something/s at the time of your appointment. Up to you if you want to gamble on that. Some have done so successfully, others have not.

If you spend money at your home store, you will build a history and rapport with your SA and SM and will get a bag sooner or later.

I think you are spinning your wheels at this point. JMHO

I agree with what @lulilu wrote. I also think you are only getting a small sample of experiences on this forum, likely more positive stores too and will not get your answer from posters.
From my own experience it feels random. I go to Paris every year to visit friends and I have received bags and been rejected. It felt random each time - feels like some SAs are just there to say no no matter how charming you are and others are there to make your wishes come true. I have no relationship with my home store so I am happy to buy while travelling, but I don’t think my purchase history at FSH really helps and it is more about luck.

I hope you got to see some of Paris.

I hope you got to see some of Paris.
Oh, don’t worry, I have seen Paris before and wasn’t aware of the Hermès shopping was relevantly easy there. This time I only stayed in Paris to meet some local frds and catch up with them over nice lunch and dinners, etc, but most of the tour was in other part of France. That’s why I only got two days there as a result not as much time to spend there to wait for an appointment. But my lunch appointments did break the purchasing at other stores which when I came back to see others’ experience there were hints of what the sales were going to offer but I didn’t really paying attention to it.

Anyways, good lesson learnt here by members sharing their own experience. To do it one day was enough for me. I don’t have time to wait there and make myself standby for days, maybe it was actually a good thing.

I get it... and I really, really hope you get a bag... I think though it does sound like everyone scores a bag from FSH, it’s not entirely true. For every story of success I think there are 10 stories of failure. It’s just that people are often disheartened and upset to talk of their disappointing experiences. I do think you should try the other two stores, but I have also tried all of them and I think FSH will give you a better chance. This is purely based on the volume of stick they receive compared to other two stores.

I completely agree re: there is no logical pattern to the different experiences people have in Paris. All you need is a good SA and voi la!

It’s ok though... I think with some persistence and consistency I will get my C24 :) I go to Paris often enough, so will just keep chipping at it.
