George V push us back to fsh but they do have garden party though as a nice male sales consultant asked if we like that & he could check it out.

Will be going back fsh to try again after lunch. 3rd time in Paris & am trying. Let’s see if Lady Luck smiles on us for the appointment! But I believe fsh do have other bags available as they did ask if they could help with non-bkc...

Thinking if I should get jypsiere or lindy...

Still no luck in manual appointments after going to fsh on Friday evening. Quite disheartened by then & thought of just getting a jypsiere bag in Brighton colour as I love sling bag & saw it on display. However, in the evening around 7.30pm Paris time, got lucky message from Hermes for appointment on Sat 11plus after 2nd try online. Hubby got rejected for 2nd try.

Welcome by a really nice SA. Given her my choices & she came back in about 20min & ask me to follow her to a room. There were 3 smaller boxes & 1 bigger box.

Showed me 2 smaller boxes with Magnolia & Gris asplalte kelly wallet. Another box with a mini bolide. Before showing the bigger box, my SA says she cannot find any bkc for me & hope I would like the bag she is going to reveal. By then, I was really sad. Much to my surprise, what she actually revealed then was a kelly 28 in Magnolia Color & clemence leather. Of cause I took it as it is 1 of the colours I like. My choices given to her is pretty wide. B30 or k28 or k32 or C24, colours will be neutral like grey or brown but not black, pastel colours like pink or blue. If purple, green or yellow will be lighter shades & not dark shades. No preference on hardware. Leather would be Togo, clemence or epsome. Is my very first hermes bag so I do not have a very strict preference but I really love pink though. SA did ask me what is my preference for bag, that is b, k or c. I told her K.

While in the room, I told her I would love a wallet too, so we hold on to the Gris asphalte Kelly wallet with palladium hw & went to look at Constance wallet. Eventually got a Gris asphalte Kelly wallet in epsome with gold hw as I find Constance wallet really hard to open.

I also got a Tan kelly belt as it is a nice neutral colour & with rose gold hw. Attached picture of my purchases. I finally got home today not empty handed after 3rd trip to Paris & hopefully more to come... I was contented so hubby didn’t make another appointment for Monday & we booked our flight out to Italy milan on Monday night to continue our honeymoon.

Patience, determination & a nice SA really helps. Tks for letting me share my story & hope every hermes lover will find what u want & have a fruitful trip!

I wonder do posters here tend to only post if they are very successful at scoring a BKC? I will have to share my experience that I didn’t get any b or k on the same day as you unfortunately. In fact the only thing I was offered was a lindy. I was told no B or K. Hm...

The only difference between us was that when my sales asked me what’s my preference between the two, I said B> K. I am not sure if they only bother to check the storage of one of them, either B or K for the efficiency. My slot could be slightly later than yours but not much more.

Would you mind tell me a little more about- did you actually mention Magnolia to your sales? After many hours reading here I noticed that most people didn’t get their most favorite
Color on their list? Did you have ( big) spending history at fsh before you got your slot?

Same as you we didn’t even get a appointment confirmation after the first attempt. We then had a good range of various items shopped and got the appointment the second day. Somehow one of us was rejected twice and not sure if it’s due to 0 shopping record at FSH.

By reading other posts, some says if they told you that’s the only thing they got, it means that’s the only bag they are offering to this client. I am very curious would it be your shopping record is very generous at FSH hence they offered you the Kelly and I wasn’t ? I hope you don’t mind to share! Thank you very much!

Lovebb12, I had zero France history before I was offered my Kelly 20 Rose Pourpre.
On my first walk in attempt, when I mentioned Magnolia, SA #1 commented “ok good this is a current color” even though she ended up not finding anything for me. I took note of her comment so I made sure to put Magnolia on my wishlist when I got a confirmed online appointment under my name (different SA#2) SA#2 said she offered me Rose Pourpre bc it’s really similar to Magnolia. Which made me think that maybe if you choose a more recent color the probability of scoring is higher. I also believe it helped that I also put other non BKC bags on my wishlist and maybe perhaps it enticed them to being more open to getting a BKC for me, as I’ve heard that SAs don’t get commission off of BKC, so they are more open to serving if you have other non BKC items on your list.
When we got offered a C24 it was through my DH appt and we were trying really hard this trip to build a sales history. So I think history doesn’t play a part, I think persistence does help! Good luck and keep us posted!

I will have to private msg you for sth.It’s atually very interesting that not only did I give my wish list of the BK but also when the sales asked me if I have any interest in other bags when they don’t have any B or K then what’s my other preference?

I was actually sort of not feeling positive already at that time, due to the sales asked me another time about it after I gave my first none BK list,at that time I actually thought- sounds like there weren’t any stock of B or K today. It’s a Saturday midday and I sort of read here and there, believing that there isn’t any delivery on Saturday. So I already gave up after being asked so many times ‘ if we don’t have etc etc, what else? ’in addition of BK I gave two other options and the sales found a bag but not in a color I mentioned - sort of similar to one color on my wish list but not messesarily the same — similar with your experience. That’s why I started to wonder does sales ever give us the exact color of our choices at all?

One other thing I read here and there was sometimes the sales has to go to someone more senior at times before giving a client the BKC, I don’t know how true it is, that’s why I wonder if the shopping history at FSH matters for the scoring of any of the very porpular bags.

I actually knew Magnolia is this season’s color from online before my appointment ( before your girls posting your lovely purchases) and I was surprised it sounds everyone didn’t get their most desired color but not sure about leafyyue’s wish list. It sounds she didn’t mention Magnolia but ‘pink’.

It’s good to know that sales don’t make commissions on BK, thanks for your input.

I guess in addition to the slight diffferent time of arriving with leafyyue, the other factor was actually the sales of mine was also different from hers. Oops when I talked with my sales I would say we all know when people are being 100% honest or not, not nessesarily a lie but sometimes it’s quite obvious they are being diplomatic and sometimes there are hold backs in the conversation. I am mostly speaking about the conversation after I decided to take what the sales offfered me. But there are places in the seeking process I can tell there were statements not completely true to fact too.

I learnt from quite a few places in Hermès counters when for instance they will definitely say no to a reseller who I noticed were not served any bag at all, when I overheard sales talked to others there weren’t any bag at all I gave up for myself too, but were later offered something not bad in semi accordance to my list ( that color didn’t fit me so I had to rejected it but the sales served me was great. ) With a second thought the person who were rejected completely politely did look like a reseller to me. My sales at BSH was very careful of taking my wish list, it also took a while approx 15 mins for the sales to return to us after we first met. I knew we were not escorted to the fitting room hence there wasn’t BK for me that day. I sort of regret that I didn’t ask for a second time if the sales can go down to take another look.I didn’t feel feel like to do that because I was told no B / K, not sure if I should ask for a second chance. But hard to do so when someone already brought over a few small boxes to match the big box she/ he had gone through.

I am very curious the reason of offering for leafyyue, was that as simple as she had bag the last K of the day or due to her better and more generous shopping history in BSH, or a better sales.

Sometimes I read online it’s good to keep the same sales, in most of your cases it’s simpler than mine, at least you got a desired bag, but now I am even more confuse if I should stick with the same one if I ever return to Paris or try to look for another one such as those who served you lucky girls. Of those finally bag a B/K.

jadore couture, weird that with 0 french shopping history we didn’t even get an appointment. One of the account was 0 so didn’t get an appointment at all for two times. Luckily we got the appointment with the other account where we had good arrange of spence there but still got no luck at B/K.
 
As a walk in customer I think the SAs try to accommodate even when there is no purchase history but of course if that history is a long and valuable one, them wouldn't it make sense that the list of available and more sought after bags will be longer? As one progresses in time as a client at the flagship and any store, the offers are bound to be better. My SA tells that appointments are given randomly and bag deliveries are just as irregular. FSH also tries to give a brand new customer the experience of being offered a bag and making a dream come true, once in a lifetime.

I wanted to know if leafyyue wanted to share her shopping history a little more because got into the same place the same time ending with very different results I can’t think of other factors except surely she got a different sales too.


So here is our story:

Actually both our account were rejected at the first time online, both withiout any shopping history at FSH. Only one 300++ transaction a week before the online application for bookings at George V. Item under one of us, other than that our accounts are all fresh due to the previous year’s airport shopping doesn’t count at all. We were only in Paris two days so we checked online and found a lot of people had a similar experience of finding great difficulty to even sort out an online appointment in August due to the amount of application, it is worse for many of those has no shopping record in France. As I said we only got two days so we can’t really count on doing what others do - pop up 3-4 four days in a row and try to get into the slot with a 0 account.

From our research we found that some other customers also found it easier to get into the que with some shopping record at FSH. Hence after being rejected the first time we went to FSH and did our shopping list for none bag items, with a good array, otherwise we would rather do it at one go on the day of purchasing bags were it not because the online booking was so hard to get into. We actually running around all 3 shops in Paris back and forth in two days, it was indeed already very tiring to simply get into the system of booking in August. In that evening we finally got one booking accepted, mainly shoppings were made in the day of the application. The other 0 account was still refused.

That was our booking experience anyway.

For the once upon a life a time of event to celebrate and how much we will enjoy the first B/K, as the new policy of FSH, we were hoping we can be one of those lucky bunny but no, it didn’t happen to us. It was indeed a very special event but I guess same as most of the travellers too.

About our option list we actually did a research and knew a few colours were this season and chose to mention it on purpose. Surely it’s also because they fit me rather than I just want to buy it which kightvworry the sales I am a reseller.

Funny enough at other places people taking about you better not even take your phone out to confuse the sales, because resellers might do thst in the past. Hence of course I don’t dare to print out list, in case sales think that it look as if that’s others wishing list and I knew nothing about Hermès bags.

Well I wasn't specifically replying to you but I am truly sorry your experience was not as good as it could have been. As someone above said, not everyone has success stories to tell and most who post here do. Can I clarify that now GV needs online appt as well? And also can I just generally say, some people do buy other things to receive a bag offer but they don't always mention it, eg on IG or on their blogs.

@Lovebb12 I understand where you coming from. I have been there. I have been in FSH twice on different systems and no luck. I even knew what to expect the last time I was there when I saw the SA that was going to serve me. It can be very difficult to determine what is going to happen even under the same circumstances there is no accurate answer. I agree with Periogirl28. Sometimes people don’t give all the details. I know of someone in IG who got 2 beautiful bags back to back without online appointments. It sounded like H magic all over. I asked her privately and she told me that she had a business card from a previous SA. So when she went to FSH she showed the card but that SA was no longer there and they assigned a new SA to her. She had previously bought several items. This is not the only story like that. Don’t get frustrated about it. It’s difficult and I understand! Luckily since my first experience in FSH I found a great store here in the US. They are very honest with me and there is no game. I don’t buy in any other store but that specific store. If they don’t have something in stock they will do a transfer and then I buy it. That’s how I show my loyalty to that store and I have expressed that to them. My best advice build a relationship with a store. Good luck!

It’s good to know GV needs appt too! I didn’t know and when I was there a week ago the sales didn’t mention it. The sales there actually helped to check if my none BK list bags were available in my desired color but there wasn’t any, so I didn’t get any bag from them. We were there mainly to fill up our ‘shopping history’ record, so we got a few items here and there but mainly at fsh. I heard enough nos these days hence didn’t ask the bags after hear others conversation.

Is there any link I can fill in the application for GV? I won’t be able to make it back to Paris any soon but it will be always good to know in case I am going for last minute.

bellapurse, thank you for your reply. I actually was thinking of the same. I might as well try to look for a reliable sales or store to show my loyalty to them instead. My OH thinks that I am
insane to do this, to him all girls mad at Hermès bags are a little extreme/- hm, his original words were worse. He found it a huge waste of time of running around the shops, without even knowing if you will get anything or anything in your desired color.

I did think of try to look up locally and I heard that at many places as long as there is enough shopping history at one go with those higher commission products - ie watches, clothes with a default ratio to the bag, then one can order the exact size, color and leather for their dream bag, at least you won’t be playing ‘ life is a box of chocolates’ kind of game.
I guess most girls who wants to check out fsh because it’s the only place if lucky one doesn’t have to be pushed to buy too much extras if they just want ‘ a’ bag but not ‘ the’ bag.

I do not have a specific SA & was assigned SA on the day of appointment. As for purchase history, I bought 2 scarfs (1 big 1 small), 2 twillies in case I score any Birkin but end up no bags, 1 Cuir Kelly bracelet, 1 rivale Double tour bracelet & 1 H bangle back in Oct 2018. Big scarf was purchased at serves store, H bangle at cdg Airport & rest were at fsh store. I did not go to george v. I did tried once online booking of appointment in oct 2018 but didn’t get any & I did not try further as I was only in Paris for 2days.

When giving my preference, I did not give any list to SA, all from my choices of colours I like. Yes I did mention Magnolia is nice & I don’t mind Brighton too. She did ask if I like rose pourpre, I said not really as I like lighter shades & rose pourore is too dark. She also ask if I like current season colours like yellow, green or purple in case she cannot find colours I like. But I said that is fine with hesitation & mention lighter shades of pastel & not dark colours. But I love pink like Magnolia & prefers sling bag like kelly.

My purchase was done on 18 Aug, initial timing was around 11.30am but ended up become around 12.10pm Paris time. I actually went to fsh every morning & afternoon timing to see if any cancellation on thurs & Friday till the bag hostess sort of remembers me... but she told me no cancellations & ask me to try again on sat & she will be there too. When I show up on Saturday, it’s no longer asking her on cancellation but updating her I finally got an appointment.

My trip to Paris is specially to buy a bag & wallet while on my honeymoon to London & Italy... but I did not mention about other items but focus only on bags when SA ask me on preference as I wasn’t sure if I am getting hermes wallet or Chanel wallet then...

I did not buy any hermes items during my 2015 trip. Was your appointment on 18 August too?
