I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

After mapping out where the three Hermes stores, and where they are to Louis Vuitton stores, I'm not sure I can hit all three stores. My boyfriend has pretty much packed our schedule full of birthday surprises for me, leaving me only one day to shop.

Can anyone tell me if galleries layfayette or printemps has a Hermes and LV?
Or suggestions on my best options on which stores are easiest proximity to each other?
Right now I'm thinking to hit the LV Vendome, Chanel rue cambon, Hermes FSH, than maybe uber over to galleries layfayette.

Printemps has Hermes, specializing only in jewelries and watches. If you’re looking for jewelries and watches, they have great selections for you to choose from.

Sorry to repost but my post that I wrote a few days ago probably got mixed in with all of these fun reveals [emoji23]

I’ll be going to Paris next month and was wondering how the apt system works at FSH....

1. If I want to go on a Monday, I’d have to attempt to make an appointment on Saturday. On the website, it says to make an apt sometime between 10:30-6:30pm, so I can do it earlier in the day? Bc I’ll be on a plane around 6pm that Saturday.
2. Also, would it be possible to get a later time in the day? I already made lunch reservations for Monday at 12. I’m worried that I’ll get a time slot too close to lunch and I can’t make my lunch. Thank you!!

You can put your name in for an appointment any time during the previous business day. At the end of the day it takes all entries and randomly assigns people to have appointments the following day. You have no control over the time that your appointment will be and it will likely shift continually throughout the day (by hours possibly). My suggestion is that if you get assigned an appointment and it is too close to your lunch reservation, go to the store early and tell them the situation. They'll probably fit you in.

I just returned to the US from Paris yesterday and was (Thank GOD!) able to purchase my first Birkin at Faubourg Saint-Honoré. Interesting experience! I used the mobile website and was denied the first day. The second day I was denied and thought, "well that's that" bc I was leaving the day after. Woke up to a text the following morning that stated I was confirmed. My appt was at 10:30am (when the boutique opens)...I arrived at 10:20am...there was a very short line. We were escorted to the 2nd floor to SA's awaiting our arrival. By 11:00am, I was walking down Saint-Honoré with a huge orange bag (2018 Clemence 35 Rouge Casaque w/ GH)!! My SA was amazing. Best experience ever.

Both Galleries Lafayette & Printemps have high end designers but if time is tight, I would go to FSH and Chanel Rue Cambon (they are close to each other) and many other luxury designers are all within walking distances. Galleries Lafayette & Printemps are very often packed of people from bus tours.

This is just my personal opinion but I would not miss the opportunity to visit the most wishes designer places people want to see in Paris; FSH & Chanel Rue Cambon. (there is also LV but they recently opened at a new location and have not been yet)

Ok so I have been absent from this forum for a while.. But will never forget that tpf helped me in making my first FSH trip a great success and such a pleasant experience. And subsequent trips after that..

Last week I made the annual FSH visit again, and this time I wanted something a bit special. I wanted an ostrich B30. I tend to be Team K rather than Team B, but in my mind ostrich is perfect in B because you can see more hardware. And I’m partial to ghw.

So I emailed my H fairy ahead of time to secure an appointment. On the designated day, FSH was like a mad place and my fairy ended up running very very late for our appointment and I didn’t get to see her till 14 mins before closing time. She felt so bad and was very apologetic. I wanted more time to chit chat, catch up, look at other stuff etc, but no time for all that obviously.

Once I told her what I wanted, she immediately showed me RP B30 ostrich phw which was on display just next to where we were sitting. She asked me if it was ok. Hmmm.. I tend to go for neutrals so that I wouldn’t have to think too hard in matching my outfit. I told her I wasn’t sure about the colour (pretty but may not work with most of my wardrobe).

She went downstairs to look for more.. I was preparing to go for my second option which is a K28 sellier in epsom, thinking that maybe timing wasn’t right to get an ostrich.

5 minutes before closing, she reappeared and asked me to move to a different corner of the store where a big box was waiting. She said she had found something very pretty which was even nicer my what I had initially asked her (bleu de malte ostrich ghw), and very rare. It was a bleu saphir B30 ghw!!! The saturation was unbelievable. It was definitely love at first sight. She said it’s so rare that it’s the first time she had ever seen bleu saphir in an ostrich.

So here it is.. The gem of my current collection

PS: Am totally in love with this bag but my pink lover friend (who knew that I also love pinks), kept asking how could I said no to rose pourpre ostrich!! My local SA confirmed that bleu saphir ostrich is rare indeed, so I believe I made the right choice.. Do you agree, dear ladies??

Lovely, did you have to buy other items too? Does anyone know if you need to buy many other items to get an exotic B? Or is it the same as the leather B where you need to buy other items with it? Does anyone know the approx price for a croc B in FSH? Thanks!

No need to buy other items for non exotic b in my experience. A croc b is a bit more elusive!

I read somewhere in TPF that H has now linked the purchase history across Europe. Does that include UK? I’ve only made purchases at Cannes other than London, so I’m wondering if my chance is high when I visit FSH this Jun. Also, do you think they study your purchase history before allocating you an appt? Lastly, I read that you’ll be given an appt on 3rd try at least. I’ll touch down in Paris on Tues evening n leave on Fri morning. Should I try for an appt on Tues at all? Otherwise, I can only have two tries on Wednesday n Thurs to score an appt.
Sorry for the long list but I really don’t want to be disappointed again . TIA

With H everything is a mystery. Some score without purchase history, some think it helps. This third try thing - who knows. I got an appointment my first try in Nov and could never get another. My friend didn't get an appointment on her first two tries. There's just no way to know. I would try for an appointment every day you are there - starting with Tuesday for Wednesday. Good luck!

I am not sure how the shopping works at LV Vendome these days. I went in Nov and we had to get an appointment with an SA, you couldn't just walk in and shop. That may have changed though. Definitely the LV Vendome location works well with hitting FSH and Chanel. It is a very pretty store too. I believe there is an LV in Galleries Lafayette but I've never actually been to any of the department stores in Paris. If you are trying to get a bag at H that could easily consume a day itself if you go to all three stores. For me I hit H first as what I get there usually dictates how much shopping I do elsewhere. Enjoy your trip!

Thanks... but I’m afraid I get an appt on Tuesday before I arrive in the evening n get blacklisted

i wouldn’t risk trying for an appointment on a day you won’t be there because you never know. also i HIGHLY doubt they check purchase history before allocating appointments. there just isn’t time for that when you consider how many appointment requests are made.
