Ladies, just want to share my experience at FSH. First day we arrived Paris about 2pm, so after a refresh in the Hotel we went FSH at about 4pm. My friend speaks French, so I let her ask for an appointment, and luckily we got one. The appointment was 5:45 and it jumped to 6:20. We had some tea at Laduree where is 10 mins walk from FSH, and we were back to FSH at 6:15. It turned out our SA is a Japanese, she was quite straight forward asking me what bags you want. I were keen on a B or K in ostrich, so I said that and told her I also would like to see Kelly cut in croc, and a wallet in ostrich as well. Then she left to check and did not ask for my passport. It's about 5-10 mins she came back saying that there is no B or K in ostrich, they were all gone. She asked if we would like to see the wallets, and I said yes. After a quick look at the ostrich wallets ( a grey and orange in compact bern, and a dark green in kelly wallet), we decided to get the green kelly wallet. And we bought a blouse and a scarf. She walked us to the side door because at that time the main door is closed, and we asked if we can see her tomorrow. She said her name triple times and said go earlier tomorrow.

Second day, we queued there at 9am, and there were already 6-8 people before us on the side door. The main door there were 15-20 people. During waiting my friend got me some breakfast from Pret da Manger (5 mins walk from FSH), and it was so boring and physically standing there waiting for an hour and a half is a torture. We are spending thousands of euros in your store and you let me wait such a long time! What on Earth it is!? I hate the queue honestly. So at 10:30 it opened, security asked everyone on the side door to open their bags to check. I walked in and asked to see the Japanese SA, but we were there too early that there was someone could directly help us. So with such a rush in the morning in FSH, I have no time to think if I should insist to see the Japanese SA or directly see a new one. And the other sales that welcomed us just try to convince us to see a new SA (a disaster!). Then a Chinese SA with FAKE smiling face ( named Xue, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM HER, she won't give you any b or k!) asked about my preferences and took my passport, after 10 mins she was back saying no B or K in ostrich or croc (even I did not ask for a croc, she seemed like don't ask me for croc again, I checked, no), and no kelly cut in croc either, and she said anything else you wanted to see. I rejected because I have no interest in anything else with queuing more than an hour but b or k. And it took us only 10 mins to leave after queuing such a long time.

Today is the last day we stay in Paris, I will queue there again, but it is the last time. I won't play the game with Hermes and FSH. I have to say I hate such a long-time waiting. I will let you guys know if I have luck today. Thanks!

So today, I am the lucky one. I were at FSH at 9:30am, and at this time it seemed the queue at the main door and the side door is the same, about 15 people at each door. We queued at the main door, and I think they let the customers in from the main door and side door at the same time. We managed to make an appointment with the Japanese SA, the appointment time is 11:20. So I went for LANVIN which is right over the street, and got a pair of chic pants. Then we were back to the FSH to meet my SA at 11:20. We waited her for more or less than 10 mins, and she felt sorry for leting us waiting because the appointment time on her phone was 16:40(???). Then she asked me my preferences for the bags, and I said I wanted a B30 or K32 in ostrich, she told me ostrich and croc were hard, so I gave her my preferences for normal leather. After 15 mins, she came back with two boxes, not very big, so I thought it might not be a B or K. She asked me to follow her to the 2nd floor in a private room, and it turned out it was a Birkin 30 in togo Etoupe GHW (my first preference in normal leather) and an insert bag. She told me she had ostrich in orange and red, which were exactly the colors I told her I did not like. So she did not bring them. I tried the bag on and thought it was a bit small, so I asked for a 35, she left for another 10 mins and found me a Birkin 35 in gold epsom leather! How nice she is! But the epsom 35 is even larger than the 35 togo (I have a Noir 35 togo), so I declined the gold one, and bought the Etoupe 30 and the insert bag.

Today, while waiting for my SA, I saw some customers queued before me carrying big boxes went down from 2nd floor. It is high possible that they got delivery today, but no delivery yesterday. So it is all about luck, delivery + nice SA!

I was in Paris in January, lined up on a Saturday (at 9.15) and got an app. for 11.00 - waiting was fun: even hot coffee and tea were served because it was freezing cold outside. As many people here mentioned the appointment time was constantly changing while waiting ) When finally the SA was ready for me after a short greeting in half French/half English (neither is my mother language) I just stated shortly what I was looking for (I was specific about type of leather and color choice (B 35 or 30, black GHW, cool neutral GHW, no Epsom, no Swift, TC maybe, Togo - yes!) and why (matching my favourite clothes, different from the B I was carrying that day), so I was quite specific about what I was searching for. After a waiting time of about 5-10 min the SA was back with a big box and a smaller one (we asked about an Evelyne, too). In a quiet corner upstairs she finally revealed the "treasure" and it was exactly what I was searching for: a B35, Etoupe GHW, Togo - a big yes! The color was beautiful - I have an older Etoupe PHW in TC, that is much darker than this new Etoupe Version, looks almost like a mix between Etoupe and Gris T or is Etoupe TC that much different from Etoupe Togo?. The Evelyne was beautiful, too, but I already had this color, so I denied. The Sa and I chatted a bit about prior B adventures in FSH and esp. the bags I did not buy in the past, a really pleasant experience. Only after the purchase she asked if I was interested in any other items - I was looking for a special silk and a CSGM but none of them were available, so finally I just bought the bag. On that day I saw MANY big boxes and happy customers (about 3/4 of the People waiting in line before me carried a big box when leaving) though I cannot say which other colors were available that day. All in all at least for me the new system had more advantages than I thought (not spending half of the day at Hermès with answers like "there was no shipment..."), Hermès is checking your Background (via passport) before buying so you don´t have to convince the SA of being a loyal customer at least if you have a purchase history there. Just FYI: I had bought bags (only B) in the past years at FSH, but none since 2 years, plus several other things (mostly scarfs, a big blanket, bath towels, but only things I for myself), not many but I had a prior "history" at FSH. On that day I bought two small items while waiting for my appointment (a Rodeo and an unexpensive SLG) and I was dressed casually with a Woolrich winter coat, UGGs, nothing special, only wearing my workhorse B, no other Hermès item. Conclusion: try your luck! Even on a Saturday there are plenty of bags... be as specific as possible about your dream bag. I had the Impression that more bags were flying out of FSH than some years ago. You don´t have to buy before getting a bag, but I had the impression a prior purchase history even from years ago helps.

Bags are definitely easier to get at FSH now than years ago when supplies were constraint and I find that people looking for bigger sizes like B35 or K32 now have more luck than before due to popularity of smaller bags. Overall, I think H is seeing a slowdown worldwide at their stores across all categories and are more willing to sell bags in Europe to meet the forecast. Enjoy your Etoupe in good health.

Bags are definitely easier to get at FSH now than years ago when supplies were constraint and I find that people looking for bigger sizes like B35 or K32 now have more luck than before due to popularity of smaller bags. Overall, I think H is seeing a slowdown worldwide at their stores across all categories and are more willing to sell bags in Europe to meet the forecast. Enjoy your Etoupe in good health.

I feel like it only benefits the resellers as they have a lot of incentive and time to line up. But it's really torturous for genuine H fans. I really want to try my luck at FSH but I don't have all day to waste at the store.

I feel the same. I would never wait for over an hr especially in the winter for spending that amount of $ on a bag. And hermes is supposed to be a luxury brand. Waiting in line with all the resellers just ruin the experience imo. And they should just make those who want b/k/c wait in line.

I think it is more pleasant for regular customers and those who wish to make other purchases but less pleasant for resellers and those only wishing to buy a k/b and nothing else from the brand.

Having to stand in line for 2 hours before the store opens just to meet an SA is not pleasant. Resellers are doing this for a living so it's no problem to stand in line, just part of their job.
