I will leave this reminder as a sticky because tthis is often a thread that new members (or new Hermès lovers) post on - hopefully temporarily.

when i bought my kelly at FSH in august i was never offered a beverage. just FYI, so don't place too much importance on that.

also i have NEVER heard of people being offered B or K at sevres or george V without prior purchases. does not matter how good looking you are! someone correct me if I am wrong. it is common knowledge that if you are willing to spend a decent amount on RTW they will most often offer you a bag. so if RTW is useful to you and you don't want to line up at FSH, just play the usual H game. at the end of the day money talks. lol.

Two friends of mine got Bs at Sevres without previous purchases last summer without buying RTW. I think the only rule that applies to Hermes is that there are no rules.

I am a newbie, thank you for sharing all your stories.

After reading about so many mixed experiences, I wonder if the stores or managers make on the spot judgements to try equalize mix of nationalities on a daily basis. For example, if they have already seen a high percentage of passports from a particular geographical region, they might stop selling to passport holders of that region and balance out by offering to locals and people holding different mix of passport nationalities?

I honestly think they need to globally align their pricing strategy and establish a consistent approach. If they can do that they can actually cut out the resellers. Look at Chanel. There is now almost no margin for resellers.

Love this reply! It's encouraging for all of us who are looking to find our dream bag in FSH. I especially love the reminder about SAs also being human beings, and understanding the mad rush from their point of view.

I've been trying to buy a B or K at FSH for almost 3 years now - each time I travel to Paris. Have never been successful, and if I am honest, each rejection did hurt and I kept wondering if I was not deemed worthy enough to be offered one. I just walked away thinking it was not the right time, and maybe I was meant to buy another item to remember the trip by - and I always did.

I finally got offered my dream bags at my H home store and although the prices were higher, the experience at my home store and my beloved SA's treatment more than made up for the price difference. The experience purchasing at my home store truly felt like a luxury experience, and I am happy with that.

So now I treat my experiences (past and future) at FSH as fun hunting trips - and like a hunter, I hope I am lucky one day to catch my prey. For me, part of the fun is the thrill of the hunt! :)

In the meantime, I will pass the time and enjoy my experience at my home store!

Good luck to my fellow hunters at FSH - and may luck be on your side when you meet with the SAs!

wow that is amazing! how lucky! but just from reading this thread for a while now it seems rare that people are offered B or K as a walk in at non FSH stores. it seems purchases of watches, jewellery and RTW almost guarantee an offer. but again nothing is a guarantee with Hermes!

also seems like demand just keeps going up. since they implemented this new system it went from must line up for appointment before 12 pm to opening to 9:00 am, 8:00 am. i'm dreading the day it's line up the night before. lol.
