Here's my story from FSH Birkin hunt:

11/17 Thur- Went in around 5:30pm. Bought few scarves, belts and got a ring from fine jewelry. The SA in fine jewelry was able to get a leather SA to help me with bags without an appointment. I asked for neutral color Birkins and was told all sold out.

11/18 Fri - Arrived the store around 9:20am and lined up at the front door. There were 25+ people before me. Got an appointment for 3:30pm and was delayed until 4pm. I was told that they had lots of deliveries including netural colors on Thursday and were sold out by 5pm so there was only a dark orange B size 35 and a light orange B size 30. I refused. The SA asked me to come back next day to just see her.

11/19 Sat - I lined up at front door before 9am and requested for an appointment with the same SA. My appointment moved up from 2:30pm to 11am within 10 mins. Again was told no new deliveries yet and advised me to try again in the afternoon. I went back to the store around 3:30pm and met with her without an appointment. Unluckily there was no new delivery. She said that they would expect new deliveries next Tue/Wed. Unfortunately Sat was my last day in Paris. She felt bad and offered me a special order. I was able to pick a leather, color and hw combo. Not sure if this will go through but did make me feel a little bit about my trip.

Thank you for sharing your story and very happy to hear that you got a SO instead although you didn't leave with a bag during your trip. Congratulations.

It was my lucky day today. As a first timer, i scored K28 Rouge Tomato in evercolor leather & Lindy 30 Rouge Grenate & some jewelries. The detail progress as following :
19nov : Joined the queue at the store at 9.45am & there were already around 20 ppl before me. Got an appointment at 5.30pm. i requested for a B or K in small size, because i'm petite size too. The SA went to the back (office / storage room perhaps) and came back & told me that no B or K in small because no delivery came on Saturdays. She asked me if i'm looking for anything else besides bags. And i told her that i would like to buy some bracelets for my mom. Then she assisted me to go to the bracelets counter. I managed to buy 3 bracelets & 1 pendant. Then, i made an appointment at 12 or 12.30pm with her on Monday, and see, if H store have B or K that i requested.
21nov : I came on 12pm. And waited for her around 30mins. When i met her, she remembered the bag that i wanted. Then she asked me to wait, she went to the back to check if there's any stocks matched to my request. She came back in 10-15mins. And told me "yes, we have K28 in red tomato in evercolor leather. Pls come and follow me to check the bag" Then she assisted me to go to the Men's suits section to open the box and check the bag. I was so happy that i almost did a kid jumping. My red dream bag is here.... Right infront of me. And matched my red lip on that day And then, she asked me again, anything else i wanted to buy? And i told her, that i want to buy another necklace. When i was about to pay the bag &necklace, my SA offered me a Lindy 30 in red grenate. It may not the color that i want, but i should see & try it first. When i put the bag on my shoulder, the size was perfect, the red color also nice & neutral. I told my SA, yes... I would like to take the Lindy too. Then we went to cashier to finish the payment.

May I ask if the same leather SA assisted you with the bracelet and pendant as well and that is how you managed to setup an appointment with her for Monday?

One more question though:
by an SO. Did u mean they allowed u to choose different colors for the lining etc or is it an SO for the next PO? I mean did u get to choose just 1 colored bag with your preferred HW (silver/gold)?

I was able to choose whichever leather in whichever colors I wanted. Could do two tone or different interior and/or contrast stitching. The works.

WOWIEEE thanks so much for reassuring me that an SO for non-French is indeed possible!! I'm definitely going to give it a try as its nearly impossible to get an SO from my own store

I just got great news from the SA I met in FSH that my special order was approved! To answer the questions from previous posts:

1. I can either fly back to pick it up in person myself or authorize someone (must present a copy of my passport and an authorization letter from me) to pick it up.

2. I never purchased anything from Hermes Paris on my previous trips. On this trip, I purchased a gold ring, some scarves, few belts and a wallet. I was offered a special order of regular leather (togo/epsom/celemence) after purchase of the first 3 items because they just opened the SO quota to regular customers at that time so I was just in time.

3. Mid-End December is a better time to go because I was told by the same SA that they would have most stocks then.

After Paris, DH and I had gone to London. We are finally back in the state and settled in. Jetlagged definitely gets harder as I get older. Didn't recall it being as hard to get back in track. As promise here are pics from my purchase at FSH. I was able to score a B35 in Noir that day. I had also picked up a Bearns wallet in Rouge Tomate and Kelly wallet in Rose Jaipur. Thank-you ladies again for always sharing your experience. I also wanted to add that I was very lucky to score a Constance compact wallet in Hermes Harrods. I was not planning to buy anything at Harrods that day, was simply walking by to look at inventory. A SA had approach and started talking to me. She told me that stock and inventory have been very low due to increase influx of tourists. But she said to me that something came in the delivery today and brought out the wallet. Needless to say, I was very surprised and couldn't believe my luck! Lovely DH was with me and saw the look on my face and quickly told the SA that we will take it. View attachment 3527151

Thanks for sharing your experience. I believe this is a new system of offering regular customers special orders at FSH. My SA mentioned that it was difficult to estimate time frames because it's a new process. This further reinforces my belief that the new system is intended to make the shopping experience more enjoyable for regular customers of the brand who appreciate a variety of their merchandise perhaps a bit at the expense of walkins who are just interested in a bag. It will be interesting to see how the special order process works out. So far I think the new system is achieving its goals. That might not be a popular view in this thread. [emoji45]

Sorry for the late report! It's been very busy these days... especially with a toddler!

We're in Paris for our 5th anniversary celebration... I planned to stay in Paris for 9 days mainly because of the Kelly hunt in FSH. I booked an apartment just 2 mins walk away from FSH.

So here's my story... it was LONG.

Day 1: 11/18 (Fri)
We arrived Paris the night before and stayed up late for unpacking. I got up late and went to FSH around 10am, they stopped giving out appointments when it was almost my turn I went back to the store at around 5pm to look for appointments, sure enough, none was available.

Day 2: 11/19 (Sat)
Initially I didn't want to go that day coz based on what I read here, chances to score something on Saturday is slim. However since my husband was still sleeping with the baby and I got nothing to do, why not. I got there at around 9:20am, there was approximately 25 people in front of me at the main entrance. I was given a 12:20pm slot. Then I checked out some bracelets and requested to hold a Rivale double tour in black with gold hardware. I didn't purchase it at that time coz I told the SA that I had an appointment for handbags later that day and the SA said she could hold it for me till I finished my appointment.

Then I left the store and went back to my apartment to have some breakfast. Right after I had my first bite, I saw my appointment got moved forward to 11:40am. Like 15 minutes later I got a text "Your sales advisor is almost ready. You will soon receive the place of your appointment."

I rushed back to the store immediately but then I found out my appointment was pushed back to 12:00pm again. DUH!

Finally at 11:55am I got a text saying "Naomi is now available to meet you. Please meet a hostess at the leather department on the upstairs."

I was so lost coz I never went upstairs!

I went up there and did not know who I should talk to. There were so many SAs. I ran into a SA and told her I got the text, it turned out she was Naomi! She is Asian (not trying to bring up the race issue here but since I remember I read some posts about Asian SAs tend to reject B/K requests by Asian customers... guess some of you might be interested in this detail) and I am Asian too, so at first I really planned for the worst and did not expect to go home with anything except the bracelet.

We sat down in the consultation area. We chatted a little bit, then we started the business. She asked me what I was looking for, I told her I was looking for Kelly 28 or 32, but since I have never tried on the actual bag, I have no idea what size would suit me the best. She asked me if it was for myself and I said yes. She also asked me for hardware and color preferences, I told her I prefer gold hardware and neutral colors, no green, but am open to anything.

She wrote everything down in detail, and said they usually don't have deliveries on Saturday, would I consider colors like orange? I answered "perhaps I could check it out and see if I like it...?"

And last question was if I would be interested in anything else. I told her I would be interested in accessories like some charms or twilly, if I am offered a bag.

Then she left without asking for my passport. So I didn't know what my chances were. I looked around and noticed that the couple who were in line in front of me were actually sitting behind me and being served by another SA. They were offered some non B/K items right at that consultation area. One small box and one flat box, probably an Evelyne and a charm.

After like 10 mins, she came back and said, like she mentioned earlier, since they didn't have deliveries on Saturday, all K28 and K32 were all gone. However she got a K35 in blue, she said perhaps I could check it out to see if I like it since I had never tried on the actual bag. I said sure, but I anticipated it would not be the colors I like. Afterall it was a Saturday afternoon, I did not have high hopes and think there would be any nice color left.

Then she asked me to follow her into the room. Out of my surprises there were 5 boxes sitting on the table! She carefully opened the biggest box first. Since I did not have any expectations, when I saw the bag I believe I had my mouth wide open! The color is so beautiful, almost like black - my top choice of colors. She said it's indigo blue, but very close to black indeed. I tried it on with the strap, to be honest I am not quite sure about the size, it seems a little big on me, but after I texted my husband for opinion and he responded "Would you get it if it was in smaller sizes but in Olive?", I decided to get it. LOL

After I told Naomi that I would take the Kelly, she proceeded to show me the rest of the boxes. First she showed me the little rodeo, it's so cute. Then she showed me an apple coin purse charm, a bearn wallet, an insert. I decided to get the rodeo, although she told me that the apple charm is kinda rare, but I have no knowledge about it and would still prefer the rodeo.

Then we went downstairs to pick a twilly. I was carefully following her and was getting more nervous as I noticed some people were staring at me and the big box on Naomi's hands.

I picked a twilly quickly and then we went to the cashier. I ended up with a K35, a twilly, a rodeo pm and a rivale double tour bracelet! The entire experience was fantastic and I was treated nicely by both Naomi and the SA who sold me the bracelet.
