coming in late, but I pretty much stopped looking at moynat once they phased out the gaby and were aggressively pushing knightly's designs. I've got nothing against him, but they're not my cup of tea.
sad to see neither the taupe nor the desert rose come with palladium though.
lol, same. I did get the text but I wasn't really feeling any of the bags. though I now wish I checked it out just to see what was available.
The grey Gaby came with phw. Although the first batch they made sold out, they may change their mind yet again and make a second batch of the grey with phw or make the Gaby in another color with phw. Since they seem to be paying close attention to what clients are asking for, it wouldn’t hurt to let your SA know that you are interested in a Gaby in xxx color(s) with phw.

Hi!! I recently scored a Barenia piece from Moynat and would love to know if anyone here has any experience with Barenia leather? TIA! ☺️
Congratulations! There’s a whole thread on Barenia in the Hermes forum. A lot of posts are pics of members’ Barenia pieces but there are some posts on their experiences with the leather. The leather will darken with use. You didn’t mention what kind of piece you got but if it’s a bag with handles, if you leave the handles uncovered, the handles will darken much faster than the rest of the bag. Various members have mentioned having their Barenia bags get wet and seeing them dry out without water stains. I have a couple of Barenia Rejane saddle bags, so no handles to cover. I don’t use them very often because I find them a bit heavy but have noticed they’ve barely started to darken after several years. I hope you post pics of your piece. Use it in good health.

I second everything @DoggieBags wrote - she offered a brilliantly succinct synopsis of Barenia. The only other thing I will add is to be ready for and accepting of signs of use. It is virtually unavoidable with Barenia, but in my eyes the “wounds” add to the character. So if you love to keep your bags pristine it is almost impossible with Barenia as it shows virtually every mark and scratch (some say light scratches can be rubbed out but I haven't been able to heal scratches on Barenia as well as I have on lambskin, for example).
I am attaching a screenshot of a current Fashionphile listing for a Mothat Wheel in Barenia so you can get a good sense for the inevitable scratches and marks.

I’m laughing at my previous post.What do I think of the color? I’ll answer that by making the following comment:
I will not be ordering a green/off-white/silver piece. They’re not for me. Hopefully the colors look nice and neutral irl.
