Joining the club with my new Picotin 18 in Bleu Zellige with palladium plated hardware! Picked up this beauty from the H website recently when it was raining little Picotins. So far it seems great for perking up casual outfits and a really handy size for the weekend – it even fits an iPad mini standing up which I'm really pleased about.

I paired it with a rodeo PM this weekend but seems to be too much going on since the leather color is already quite bright, think I'll opt to keep it simpler with just blue and silver tones instead.

Yes, that's correct. There were so many color options available at the time! :nuts:

I saw the Fauve Picotin 18 available as well, but in the end opted for a pop of fun color instead for this little bag.

Does anyone know if the 18 comes in gold leather with gold hardware? I don’t wanna hold out for that if it doesn’t exist :-)

@mochiblure do you know which Leather you saw the fauve in?

Also on another note (from an older post) I compared clemence ca Maurice leathers today. Maurice is definitely more “stand-up-ish” with more integrity/structure (but definitely not rigid!) whereas clemence is obviously buttery soft and foldy.

Here is a link to a recent post with a pic of the Fauve Picotin 18 – so yes, there definitely is a gold-with-gold option available. Leather type was barenia faubourg. Very classic combination!

The link isn’t working on my phone.
So it was BF leather in fauve color? Dumb question maybe but is fauve the same color as gold? I’ve been having trouble determining the color differences.

Perhaps another tPFer can confirm but it seems to me that Gold and Fauve/Fauve brown are two different color names. The Picotin 18 I saw online had Fauve listed as its color. There are other Picotin 18 bags on reseller sites (such as Lecrin) with Gold listed as their color names so this combination does exist. Gold seems a little lighter in color, you can also see a comparison pic of both here: https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/everything-barenia-faubourg.982271/page-2
