I’ve been eyeing curry and Mykonos. My problem is that I am currently favoring 35’s. I have one 1923 30 that I love but it’s just a tad too small for me to use as a day bag. (The last time I did I tucked my scarf inside and because there wasn’t enough extra room it got stuck in the zipper. A sign I think!)

Oh, no! I hope the scarf didn’t get damaged.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful for Bo35 fans if H brought it back for the 100th anniversary?
I love the look of the Bo31, but I think it’s a tad too large for my needs. I wish the B27 came in clemence, negonda, and/or Maurice. I think epsom and swift are beautiful leathers, but I think the bolide looks more dressy using those leathers. My daily attire is very casual. I think I’ll purchase Bo31s.
Curry- yes! Mykonos is such a beautiful blue, and it reminds me of the shutters on the houses and buildings on the island. One college summer (1985), I travelled to Mykonos and rented an apartment on one end of Ornos beach. Mykonos was small and simple back then. The seemingly endless blue shutters against the white stone was almost as breathtaking as the Mediterranean.:girlsigh: H got the color just right!

Oh wow, what a great story, and color story!

Have you looked at the new 1923 25?. I have only seen pics but it might be a good fit for your needs.

I like the bag size of the 25, but the height of it’s handles only allow for hand carry. I like to carry my bags on my forearm, too. I asked my SA if Hermès could make a SO Bo27 in clemence or Maurice. He said he’d check since clemence is a Bolide leather. I doubt H will do it, but no harm in asking.

Do you happen to know how the size of the 1923 - 30 is compared to the Bolide 31 via size? Is the size noticeable?

thank you  :flowers:

So I don't have any black bags in my closet and I was thinking of adding one that can be used day to night. I was considering a Chanel classic flap (small or medium) or a bolide 27. Can a bolide 27 be dressed up to shine like a classic flap? Has anyone ever seen a bolide 27 in black chevre with GHW? The leathers I am considering are chevre, clemence, and *maybe* epsom. I feel like the epsom doesn't shine enough as an evening-nice-dinner-out type of bag and I believe the 27 doesn't come in clemence. Thoughts?

As I recall from when I bought my 30 (a couple of years back) they are essentially the same size - the differences are more in the aesthetics of the shape and the length of the handles. Also the 1923 is more “Rigide” in Novillo leather vs. Clemence.

Well I have a Bo27 in swift, and I feel the size is perfect for evening. Honestly, it is very close in size to my K25. My K25 is in chevre leather, and I use it as an evening bag often, so I think a Bo27 in chevre would be quite dressy. Just maybe not for super formal events though ( if we ever get back to those!). However, perfect for dinners, parties, etc.

Does your Bo27 hold more than a K25?

I am so excited after reading everyone’s posts and seeing the Bolide in many shapes sizes and forms to joint the Bolide club! After lockdowns started it last year, I like many others here I’m sure did a reevaluation of my bag collection. For much of the lockdown I used small LV canvas for errands because I didn’t care as much if I got sanitizer on some of my smaller pieces (didn’t care because I knew it would wipe off quickly without ruining!). I am still WFH but my trusty K and B have gone to my home office daily to beautify my space. Only now are my nice leather H bags going everywhere with me again. But classics have become even more important to me. I first tried on a 35 and a 31 Bolide in 2013 and loved them - and thought of them often, but my B and K were grails and I wanted those first, and got them last year. But after an Evelyne addition this spring (love that beauty), Bolide pulled into the queue. Here she is - my clemence Mykonos phw 31 Bolide! And she is lined with the most lovely soft, brighter blue lambskin giving the whole bag such a lovely fragrance!!! She as so many gorgeous colors H does so well is a chameleon according to lighting! We know we got a great color when 9! (eek) of our 90’s match or coordinate:P and the zipper allows open or close with no stress on the bag. I love this classic bag and I love her history!! Thanks to all you Bolide fans for research help!

This years' leather/color etc. options for SO ( see Bolide) are here. As you can see, options for 27 are Mysore, Clemence and Swift. I've never seen Maurice being offered as an SO leather option- but what do I know? :giggle:
Good luck!

Clemence isn't an SO option for Bolide size 27. It's Mysore, Epsom and Swift. ;) No Bolide 27 has been produced in Maurice as far as I know.
