Ode to the bolide

So I don't have any black bags in my closet and I was thinking of adding one that can be used day to night. I was considering a Chanel classic flap (small or medium) or a bolide 27. Can a bolide 27 be dressed up to shine like a classic flap? Has anyone ever seen a bolide 27 in black chevre with GHW? The leathers I am considering are chevre, clemence, and *maybe* epsom. I feel like the epsom doesn't shine enough as an evening-nice-dinner-out type of bag and I believe the 27 doesn't come in clemence. Thoughts?
Clemence is slouchy, so it is a more casual option. I have a Picotin in Clemence and it is not shiny at all.

This years' leather/color etc. options for SO ( see Bolide) are here. As you can see, options for 27 are Mysore, Clemence and Swift. I've never seen Maurice being offered as an SO leather option- but what do I know? :giggle:
Good luck!
Clemence isn't an SO option for Bolide size 27. It's Mysore, Epsom and Swift. ;) No Bolide 27 has been produced in Maurice as far as I know.
Excellent! Thank you for the information. Have you seen anything in Mysore (goatskin)? That might be my leather of choice.

A great resource for you might be the Hermès Reference threads, pinned at the top of the H forum where you can find pics, info, etc about colors, sizes, leathers etc. It is invaluable as a fount of good info! I have a Mysore small calendar I’ve used for years in my bags, it’s held up beautifully and has a great hand. I don’t know if “shiny” is what I would call it, but in a black 27 I think it would be gorgeous. Good luck!

Thanks for sharing the photo. Wow! It‘s Bolide shoulder luggage. The base, an H skateboard sans wheels.

Wow, beautiful but HUGE! Makes me think of NY subway requirements for dogs - they must fit in a bag. You could fit a medium to large fur kid in here! :P Thanks for the view papertiger:heart:

Actually, my pet peeve (pun intended ) is that even many of the commercial pert-carriers don't have firm enough bases so this would be good for that reason.

May be very heavy though - even though the leather looks 'Moo'

Yes the skateboard was very popular in 1923! :giggle:

Not sure I care for the bag but that skateboard charm is adorbs!

Basically, IMO, marketing wise, that bag placed on the catwalk is only there to sell the charms (that's the real cash converter).

Still a great idea for a travel bag for anyone who carries stuff that needs to be ultra firm or organised lower down like jars or a few pairs of shoes.

Agreed, and/or has a valet to carry all that heavy stuff for them.......
