Its almost dark brown, with a red tint to it. Couple of pictures for you - the red is rouge H. I like it but it’s darker than I expected from the online photos. Hence mentioning it

That's accurate, brown with a dark-red undertone.
I think that's why it works so well with Framboise. A real Rouge H verso with the same contrast colour would be less successful IMO.
Great strap selection for the summer! I love a slouchy Bolide 35 and have been sorry to learn that the size has been discontinued.
Hi, I am thinking of getting a Bolide 31 but am new to Hermes brand. Is it difficult to get a Black with silver hardware one at the store? it is easier to get it pre-loved? I am interested in either Togo or Clemence leather but it seems that the new bags are no longer made with Togo? Is that the case? Thanks for any help you can provide a newbie!
31 Bolides, clemence leather, phw are readily available on line, and should be obtainable at the boutique, assuming the particular store has a black one. They may also be able to transfer one in. I would also check reputable resellers, like fashionphile (if you are in the US), bc there could be a discount. And, fashionphile will process a return should it not be to your liking. Have fun in the search, and pls update the thread to let us know what you decide!

31 Bolides, clemence leather, phw are readily available on line, and should be obtainable at the boutique, assuming the particular store has a black one. They may also be able to transfer one in. I would also check reputable resellers, like fashionphile (if you are in the US), bc there could be a discount. And, fashionphile will process a return should it not be to your liking. Have fun in the search, and pls update the thread to let us know what you decide!

i have Togo B30 which I think appears slightly stiffer and drier than my clemence Evelyne, JPG birkin and Victoria’s. . . the clemence basically seem to smooth out as they age and withstand a lot of abuse

I think it's relatively easy to find 31 Bolides in stores: I bought a Rouge Sellier gold H/W a couple of weeks ago from my local Hermès (Europe). Also there is a black one with pall H/W now on the EU website, I don't know where you're located. As far as I know they only come in Clemence or other leathers depending on the model, but no Togo.
