Finally received Samourai CSGM in cw 01 today only to discover much to my chagrin that there was a pin size hole on the shawl that's brand new fresh from the warehouse. Also notice the fuzziness of the shawl already just from me trying it (last pic). Mod shots to come.

Congrats weN84, nice color choice! I bought my shawl in CW 09 in a H boutique, brought it home, and took it out a few days later to take some pictures. That’s when I discovered a “lump” of fabric, like a knot, in the same area where yours has the same hole... I can’t remove it without damaging the weave... we love these pieces none the less... and they are gorgeous... but it’s unacceptable considering the price tag....

Nooo! I am so sorry to hear, @Pegase. Will you be exchanging? Why is H torturing us like this? LOL.

Does that mean I have to ask my awesome SA to go over each inch with a magnifying glass before he boxes it up? He's going to kick my butt! :wtf:

What?! This is so unacceptable! I’ve only taken mine out once to try on with all the different tops. I will have to examine it carefully when I get home.

Oh no. I hope the latter part of this thread isn't about how folks are finding flaws with their beauties.

Remember, I don't own any CSGMs, so I can't speak for their quality, as a whole. I defer to you other experts to explain how it's supposed to be. I mean, I don't go over the silks I've purchased from H with a magnifying glass; I'm just happy to have them. But yeah, the CSGM ain't cheap.

@hopiko Thank you! Fingers crossed that the other one that I'm due to receive tomorrow doesn't have any issues and we'll be twins on this. :)

@chkpfbeliever After a witch hunt for the perfect Iris mousseline last year, I've learned to inspect my silks with a fine comb. Looks like I'll have to do the same with SLGs too after another quality issue this year, but that's irrelevant to this thread. ;) Congrats on your Samourai 05!

@Joannadyne Thank you for your kind words. Hope it arrives in your store soon so you can see and appreciate the true beauty of this in person! ;) :D

@texasgirliegirl Perhaps you need the whole set of Samourais? :P :giggle:

@Croisette7 My pleasure! :yw: And thank you for your kind words. Will you be getting the 01? :graucho:

@orchard Thank you for your kind words. :flowers: Fingers crossed on that. I will report back once I receive it tomorrow. I'm sorry to hear that your 07 shawl isn't up to the standard of quality as it should. I momentarily considered forgetting about this Samourai shawl as the long wait, anticipation and disappointment is a total turn off. :annoyed:

@Pegase Thank you and I'mm so sorry to hear that your 09 shawl has issues too. Would you kindly share a pic? I hope you'll be able to find a replacement for it!

This is so pretty! As for the tags, I have been carefully cutting all of mine off from this season. I have found that they hang below the scarf and shawl, which I don't like. It also limits the way I could wear them because it was too difficult to hide the tags. So far, I haven't cut through the hems.
I want to cut them off too because they hang and I'm one that doesn't like tags sticking out too. Glad that I'm not the only one that dislike this new tag.

This is the hardest colorway to photograph that I have ever experienced... as the afternoon light waned all the purple came out like gangbusters...in daylight you get a balance of rich mauves, a sort of blueberry-slate blue, the green, and some blush pink all in a lovely melange...I'll take a few more photos tomorrow in full daylight...but I really love this scarf! I advise anyone curious to try it on, I can honestly say that this was the last scarf I would have considered before I tried it on, it is not my usual thing at all. But it is a mysteriously beautiful colour combination.
I love purple but it does not like me back due to my skin tone. However, the grey background and the blueberry slate blue serve as an offset so I'm sold on this colorway. I don't recall having a CSGM that I want more than one colorway. My wallet is in trouble.

Dear Chpkfbeliever, I completely get it...I have never thought purple to really be something I leaned toward although I like it on others. In fact I have both a nice purple cashmere blazer AND a sweater in my closet that I rarely wear, and they’ve been there for years. My SA very kindly set aside three of the five color ways they’d received, and when he said one was #10, I thought “well, that’s one I don’t have to worry about”...it was the afterthought, I only tried it on to oblige him, but putting it on, it was so immediately flattering I was really shocked. I left with #5, but ultimately had to buy #10 as well. I would never have considered it had I not tried it on.
