So I think I may have possibly told every SA in the NY area that I. DESPERATELY. NEED. CW03. because my Madison SA called to tell me she got it and now holding it for me but of course I pounced one elsewhere last week. If anyone wants it, please let me know ASAP! [emoji5]

Dear Chpkfbeliever, I completely get it...I have never thought purple to really be something I leaned toward although I like it on others. In fact I have both a nice purple cashmere blazer AND a sweater in my closet that I rarely wear, and they’ve been there for years. My SA very kindly set aside three of the five color ways they’d received, and when he said one was #10, I thought “well, that’s one I don’t have to worry about”...it was the afterthought, I only tried it on to oblige him, but putting it on, it was so immediately flattering I was really shocked. I left with #5, but ultimately had to buy #10 as well. I would never have considered it had I not tried it on.

Like Joannadyne this happened with me for cw07....I haven't even bought a red scarf in forever, but the colors are SOOO pretty and surprisingly flattering on me. I really can remember the last time H did a real cherry red and then you've got some gold and rose Pourpre and various shades of pink and malachite....[emoji177][emoji177][emoji177]

This Hermes Bug is an expensive illness for sure! I'm not even interested in a cure, but I do need to stop and enjoy what I have. I do have my eye out for the emerald green 140 panther scarf. I think I might just melt if I see that one in person. I love your story of your DH, too. See if you can lop off a zero here or there so that it can be your little secret.

Lemme guess! 05 for sure; 01, maybe? 07? (Hmm, looks like I’m going with all my favorites, heh heh.) And ... 03?? I know you’re no stranger to brights!!

Joannadyne: gotta say....#07 is REALLY pretty!! And you wear vivid colours so well!!! I really wish I could get away with one more, but it would raise my anxiety levels, so all I can do is vicariously enjoy others’. The one thing I can say to justify my purchases is: they are the only investments that I have bought that have consistently increased in value, providing I take care of them, and choose well.I remember after the big 2008 crash, one well off lady saying “the only investments that are still holding strong are my Hermes bags and scarves...” Maybe that is something you can tell your DH....even diamonds lose their value after you drive them off the lot...whereas a really classic Hermes scarf can double its value, if it’s a good edition...

I could try telling him that, but then he’d say, “well, let’s get to posting some on eBay so you can get your ROI!”

Or, OR, it’s a joyous celebration of your marvellous cultural heritage! (That’s what I’d go with, leaving out the simple fact that it is gorgeous on you....the best justification of all!)

Okay so I promised to report back after receiving the second Samourai and wow, I'm speechless.

I slowly unfold the shawl examining it and there it is, a red sticker next to a stain, which to me indicates that this is flagged. Yet somehow someone overlooked this and packed this into plastic packaging and sent it to warehouse as inventory.

Since I'm inspecting this shawl anyway, I then discover that one can see faint black lines along the hem. Someone didn't do a very good job of rolling the hems fully before sewing them as the black line is what I presume to be the outline. This perhaps doesn't show on other cw like 03, 05, 07 and 12 that have strong contrast colors but on a light background like 01, there it is.

I think I'm going to attempt to find another in store, (there weren't any so far, hence when this popped up online, I quickly ordered it) but I'm not going to be very hopeful. Right now, I'm quite turned off with the quality of H silks.

Congrats weN84, nice color choice! I bought my shawl in CW 09 in a H boutique, brought it home, and took it out a few days later to take some pictures. That’s when I discovered a “lump” of fabric, like a knot, in the same area where yours has the same hole... I can’t remove it without damaging the weave... we love these pieces none the less... and they are gorgeous... but it’s unacceptable considering the price tag....

Oh WeN, I am so gutted for you. How awful that you received two faulty ones - one of which had a flaw sticker!!!!! Now, if I was Monsieur H I would be sending you at least a free twilly to make up for the sheer embarrassment that my luxury company had allowed this to happen - but we all know that Hermès HQ doesn't think like we lesser mortals. For what these items cost their QC before they leave the atelier floor (I daren't say factory!) should consist of at least a double check. Gobsmacked. [emoji847]

What a headache! Reading your post I'm reminded that I had some issues with my silk samourai 07 ordered online as well. I forgot if I got the replacements once or twice, but all had the same issue. And with some confusing refund process. I was able to find a good one in store eventually. Hope you find yours! It's always more fun to shop in store (though very dangerous for the wallet). Finger crossed!!

weN, it's unbelievable. This happened last year in my boutique, original packed in plastic and a red sticker on the fabric.
Where is the final quality control?
