Okay so I promised to report back after receiving the second Samourai and wow, I'm speechless.

I slowly unfold the shawl examining it and there it is, a red sticker next to a stain, which to me indicates that this is flagged. Yet somehow someone overlooked this and packed this into plastic packaging and sent it to warehouse as inventory.

Since I'm inspecting this shawl anyway, I then discover that one can see faint black lines along the hem. Someone didn't do a very good job of rolling the hems fully before sewing them as the black line is what I presume to be the outline. This perhaps doesn't show on other cw like 03, 05, 07 and 12 that have strong contrast colors but on a light background like 01, there it is.

I think I'm going to attempt to find another in store, (there weren't any so far, hence when this popped up online, I quickly ordered it) but I'm not going to be very hopeful. Right now, I'm quite turned off with the quality of H silks.

This is horrible! It is sad that the online option isn't taking their quality control seriously. It is mortifying to have a very expensive shawl with a red sticker indicating the flaw packaged and sent it you! It's like finding a fly in the soup! But much much worse!!!
I am so sorry this happened to you. I think they should toss in something like a twilly (that isn't flawed) to say , "I'm sorry."

I was able to get cw #10 today! As @ms piggy said, it is muted but quite beautiful. The colors are so subtle and soft. H has not made too many (if any) shawls in this palette in recent history!

These pictures are not great due to the lighting but I will try to get some better ones soon!

Yay, so happy you managed to get cw10 and thanks for posting such great pics! I'm finally home after a whirlwind but crazy happy trip which I'm grateful for. I'm glad I got to see cw10 in person and now I can't wait for my SA to receive it.

And wow, what a happy collection of PdS. You have all 4 of my favourite cw! So useful for comparison.

Did you post any model pic of cw01? That's the only cw of the 4 I have not seen irl. What are your thoughts on it? It looks the brightest amongst the others.

This is the hardest colorway to photograph that I have ever experienced... as the afternoon light waned all the purple came out like gangbusters...in daylight you get a balance of rich mauves, a sort of blueberry-slate blue, the green, and some blush pink all in a lovely melange...I'll take a few more photos tomorrow in full daylight...but I really love this scarf! I advise anyone curious to try it on, I can honestly say that this was the last scarf I would have considered before I tried it on, it is not my usual thing at all. But it is a mysteriously beautiful colour combination.

This looks FABULOUS on you! I'm so looking forward to getting mine from my SA. Just glad the cw turns out way better than the stock pic. IMO it is a quiet elegant piece.

This cw so fresh on you! I'm sorry to hear of the issues with the shawl. It should not even happen in the very first place, much less twice. I hope you find a flawless piece very soon.

View attachment 3993065 Everyone looks amazing in their lovely samurai scarves and shawls. My DH surprised me with 06 for Valentine’s Day. If I pair it with a royal blue top or dress, I think I can get away with the light greys in this shawl. I typically shy away from dove grey, but paired with a stronger color, it may work.

Love seeing you in a neutral cw for a change and you still shine no matter what. This piece is a keeper and so is that wonderful DH of yours!

Posted on the Spring scarf thread but couldn’t help to take another shot here. Received today just 30 mins ago. 05 is even better in person. I did find some fuzziness and noticeable stitches on the edges, something that I have not see before in other CSGMs.

Lovely on you despite the slight flaws. I wonder if H is facing production issues, this season has been unusually slow in delivery.

Pardon the multiple posts, I'm reading backwards and this thread has been active. All the photos are so inspiring and a wonderful distraction.

I am loving all the Samourai csgms so far! You ladies all look quite regal in them. I’m having some trouble nailing down the right cw for me. I’ve tried one just two - 05 and 07. I was quite surprised to see how well 07 looked on! I ultimately walked out with 05.

I have a feeling, though, that 01 will steal my heart after seeing @Luvbolide and @TankerToad photos! But while I wait for 01, I’ve tried on every color top I could think of that might go with 05. Hoping this might help some of you make the Samourais Choice (you know, modeled after Sophie’s Choice, because it’s just impossible to decide between these babies!)

Joanna, you're hilarious as usual. I was just in Japan and seeing samurais everywhere just make me want my.shawl.right.now. Like for ladybaga, I'm glad you picked a neutral cw for a change as well (still the tassels pop). I get your reasoning for not going for brights in this larger format. Same reason I do not wear red nor gold for Chinese New Year.

I will have to see how 06 looks on me.

Hi! Thank you! I love cw 1 but I did not post any modeling pix as @TankerToad and @weN84 had posted such beautiful pictures;, I could not beat them. It is a white shawl with bright colors but they are not over powering....very beautiful combo! The only holdback would be if you do t want white!

There were some discussions about the tag on the 18SS thread. Most dislike it. I confirmed with my SA recently if it was because of the new regulations in EU that the tags have to include the local language on it so they had to change the tag because I remember there was a huge problem with the shipment last season at my store, and that was the reason. He confirmed it is indeed why they have to change it to the current one.

Interesting news, thank you for sharing. At the moment the tag doesn’t bother me much because I bought the dark navy cw of PdS and it blends in.
