I've never returned such a big ticket item. When you return a bag that a store doesn't carry they process your return like normal in the register. There is no delay in processing the refund but they do send the bag back to the original store of purchase.

This question of mine is not a about price match..

I bought a chanel bag from nordstrom seattle last week but would like to return for a refund. However i will be in san francisco. So i was wondering if i could bring the chanel bag down to nordstrom at san francisco centre at market street for a refund. What if nordstrom at san francisco centre do not carry chanel, will they still take the return?


Is the refund going to take longer as usual cos i heard they will have to send the bag back to seattle??

I did a live chat on nordstrom website & they say nordstrom at san francisco centre do not carry chanel bags/ accessories.

But she say i could call up the store & speak to someone from designer handbag section & check to see if they would take the return before i make the trip down..

So i call up the store. There is this lady who says i need to have everything in its original packaging.. The box the receipt.. She say bring it down & 'they shall see what they can do' ..

Hmmm.. sound positive..

I ordered a pair of Frye boots recently - They were on sale on Amazon for $217 (just a certain color) and then Amazon was doing 25% off your purchase of $100 or more on shoes. Nordstrom did the price match and the extra % off on the color I wanted! I got Frye Veronicas that were originally priced for $327 for $173!

I just tried price-matching a pair of shoes in a different color and they would not do it. She said it needs to be in the same color and size on both sites.

If you price match something, then say it doesn't fit and try to exchange it for a different size, will they let you keep the price matched price? or will they then charge you the full price since they only price match the exact size in stock?

Tried to get Nordstrom to price match a promotion code from NM and they said they won't match codes only available to email subscribers. So frustrating, it's almost like they don't want your business.

In my experience they only match the exact color and size. The only time I got around this was on a pair of shoes and I just got lucky that the sales associate didn't really check on the size availability.

Nordstrom will only price match it the item is the exact one on both sites. (ie: Nordstrom and Saks). Has to be the same color and size. Hope this helps!

It doesn't have to be sold online to be price matched. It just has be available and they have to be able to confirm it. So if it's in an actual store get all the info and tell them at this specific store this is the price. They can call to confirm.

I recently purchased a pair of valentinos from nordstom online, my sister bought the same pair on sale from Neimans, I took my sister's pair to the store and they refunded me the difference, which was about $400. I'd say it's worth the try.
