Saks is or was having friends and family so I'm assuming the that's the major competitor they're matching.
I've noticed they've been doing this a lot...recently tory burch had F&F and I noticed they did it then as well.
I chatted with a rep tonight to see if they would price match a dress macys had for cheaper, with 25% off. After checking and researching she said they couldn't price match because it wasn't the same color. I sent her the link that showed it was the same color and they denied my price match. I waited 10 mins and called CS and he was able to pull up the dress and match the price with 25% off. I was able to get a $200 dress for $56 tonight!
Wow I did not know that they did this! Or is this a one off?
Also, can someone tell me the point of price-matching? I know Nordstrom has free shipping and returns, but what if you buy something in store? Why would you rather purchase it at Nordstrom instead of getting it at the place where it's on sale? Just wondering...
I got a price adjustment once after the 2 week limit, and in that case I think they made an exception because the shoes were still available. She may have just gotten lucky with an extremely generous customer service rep.
And I prefer to buy from Nordstrom because they have great customer service and a generous return policy. Even if the item they are price matching is final sale elsewhere it is still returnable if you buy from Nordstrom. It does typically need to be in stock in the same size and color though.
I saw a AW rookie bag at neiman marcus and they were have a gift card sales where you purchase a specific amount of money and you will get back a gift card in 2 weeks. The handbag was 795.00 and if i spend over 700, i could get a $200.00 gift card after 2 weeks. Has anyone done a price match with gift cards through Nordstrom? Like would i be able to get a price match and get an instant savings of $200.00 from nordstrom for the bag? The event has ended since Monday, but wanted to know for future reference. Thank you.
